Viscay Hotel in Miami Beach

Do not book this place and expect a room! We were going to arrive late and when I called the hotel to confirm my reservation they told me that I wouldn't be able to check in at the time I would be arriving. When I tried to make alternate arrangements they pretty much so said not our problem. I had to miss my event that I paid a lot of money for to come check in at the time they wanted me. What kind of hotel doesn't keep their desk open in 24 hours? Then to make matters worse, after I skipped my event to go check in they tell me they don’t have my reservation and they overbooked the hotel. I wasted my expensive event admission for nothing and I had to find another (more expensive) place to stay on top of that. This was after I called to confirm the reservation and they said they had it. Good location but not worth the unreliable service. Can’t even speak to the atmosphere, cleanliness, or noise level because I didn’t get to stay. Don’t bother with this place.

DONT EVER BOOK HERE - I just called this hotel to inquire because I'm trying to set something special up for my son's birthday legitimate I picked up the phone I asked him questions about the reviews I saw online as any traveler will do before going to a location never been to. After I ask him a question he immediately said" who are you, I don't know who you are, you sound like a scam a setup, don't call her ever again" I am appalled by her rude he was I literally have been calling all hotels because I want to plan something special for my child this is the first hotel who told me my questions were a scam I would never stay here or consider staying here and I don't advise anyone else to stay here I have never been treated so rude that is disgusting. And just so everyone's aware I read reviews before I book anything that's anyone should and I only asked him two questions 1. Reviews online indicate that the air conditioners don't always work can you please speak to that? 2. Reviews online indicated there are mixed reviews on our friendly the front desk staff is I just want to make sure we have a great trip can you please speak to that?

Don’t let the cheap prices trick you. The owner, who also works at the front desk, was arrogant and unhelpful. When we asked about parking, he just said: ‘Do whatever you want.’ Very poor hospitality. We paid 200 bucks more to parking. We woke up 2–3 times during the night because of noise from the street. The sound insulation was terrible.
