Avoid at all costs. Unprofessional female receptionist. She came screaming into my room snapping fingers and creating a huge scandal at check out even though the hotel was empty. I thought check out was at 12 instead of 11. Horrible service, she said “who do you think you are” and called the POLICE. The police came and were shocked by the receptionist. She is an angry woman who shouldn’t work at a hotel. I will try to sue the hotel.

We stayed here with 2 adult kids and our 5 year old grandson for 5 nights because the hotel is located not far from relatives. Although the suite was clean and had plenty of space we found the hotel to be inhospitable and the front desk to be unfriendly. Although we had booked for 5 people when we arrived only 2 beds were made up and there were insufficient sheets and towels and when we asked for more we were told they would be sent up but that did not happen until we went back again hours later. When a pipe burst in our room the staff did come up to stop the leak and mop the room as soon as we called them, and they did quickly offer a replacement room but left us to drag our own bags and possessions through the floodwater and upstairs to the new room without offering to assist as our grandson cried. And then we once again had to pull out and make 3 of the beds in the new room- no assistance from hotel staff. This ruined what was meant to be a relaxing afternoon but when we asked for a courtesy discount or accommodation at checkout the person at the front desk who identified himself as the owner declined and seemed to think the hotel should get an award for supplying a replacement room. Personally I think we are fortunate they had a replacement room available because the feeling we were left with is that if they did not they would have just told us to checkout or offered us to stay in the flooded room without any discount. On Friday night when we returned to the hotel from dinner we were met by a panicked non-English speaking hotel guest who identified himself to us in Yiddish and Hebrew as a fellow Sabbath observer who was locked out of his room and asked us for help communicating the issue with the front desk. The attendant at the front desk indicated he knew the man was a hotel guest and was amenable to providing the gentleman with a new keycard but refused to cooperate at all to open his door for him. I assisted the man in communicating with another friendly hotel guest who genially agreed to come up and open his room door. While I do not expect Sabbath accommodation from every hotel we stay in (and we in fact left our door open to avoid bothering them), I do feel that in the circumstances where a guest of the hotel needed the simple courtesy of assistance in opening his door a decent and hospitable hotel would spend the 3 minutes to assist him as we have found to be the case in numerous other hotels both nationally and internationally. But in this case the desk attendant informed us that is was “not his problem” and suggested that this man find another guest to assist him (which as mentioned we were able to do because unlike the hotel attendant, the other guests wanted to be helpful). In any event if you are looking for hospitality in Miami Beach there are plenty of other hotels, and I’d recommend finding a different one.

This place was very fresh. Comfortable. Good location. What was appalling though was the refusal to accommodate simple religious needs. I thought we are living in the usa.....another inconvenience was that room service is not English speaking. Feels a bit like a foreign country.
