Grand Hotel Orlando at Universal Blvd - Shuttle to Theme Parks in Orlando

My experience was terrible! Between 2-3hours to check in to have to go to the front desk 100times because of being locked out of my room with no compassion or sense of urgency! Never again!

My stay at this hotel was an absolute nightmare. The room was filthy, with strong, unpleasant odors that were overwhelming, especially for me as a pregnant woman. It made me physically ill. The rooms smelled like bleach.

When I brought my concerns to the supervisor and asked for a room change, his response was shockingly unprofessional. He rudely told me not to “be a princess” and dismissed my concerns. Instead of having a normal conversation, he yelled at me across the hallway, which was both humiliating and entirely unacceptable. When I requested to talk to the manager multiple times, he never showed up or followed up.

The lack of cleanliness, combined with the appalling treatment from staff, made this stay one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone, especially those who value basic respect and cleanliness. Stay far away.

Looks beautiful on the outside but NASTY on the inside! When I walked into room it smelled like mold,mildew,wetness so powerful I called to change rooms on a Friday but they " claim" no rooms available as they have about 30 people in waiting room checking in and out! When I called she said they would have to check me out but beings it's 11pm where am I going to find a room at that time with my kids plus Fridays are very expensive as I booked a week prior so we can go to Halloween horror.Speaking of when I booked they say they would shuttle there but we would need to Uber back which is fine, but come to find out when I checked in they only shuttle to the place in the morning and they did not tell me that when I booked the room. The room was so dirty I had to use a sweatshirt along with the kids having to use their shirts to put on our pillows, I sent the kids down to that new sheets but they said that I need to come down and get them they did not care at all about our comfort or cleansiess of the rooms because they did not change the sheets I have proof of that and pictures to show need I say more. Don't let the outside fool you because the inside is nasty!!

Do not stay here! The room was so damp our clothes were packed wet and the bathroom and sink area had permanently wet floors. A health hazard. Trip Customer Services were outstanding in sorting this out for us but the Hotel Customer Services were appealing. Save yourself the disappointment and do not book to stay here. Far better choices in the area.

There was only one staff so checking in took a long time. In addition there was a power cut and there were no information being communicated to customers on what to expect nor any simple offer of cold water provided to ensure no one was dehydrated due to the hot summer weather.

When arriving at the home after I booked on trip.com. I was told I was going to have to pay an additional hotel amenities fee and parking fee, neither which were listed on my statement after room purchase. Then I had to pay the deposit on top of it, which then we were informed if we get it back, which we should because we left the room in better condition than we arrived, will take up to 4 weeks to get back. Then we asked about the free shuttle service to the parks which is one of the reasons we chose to stay here. It has one sign on the wall, and one departure time, 07:15 am. And one pick up time, thats not a shuttle service for a vacation. Those times should be stated explicitly before booking. Then we were given our room keys, opened the door to our room, which had not been touched since the last guests had been there. There were towels and sheets everywhere, and it smelled horrible. As a former housekeeper myself I know that each room is supposed to be inspected and written off on before it can be cleared for another guest. This was very inconvenient wasting another half hour of our day. Then we were moved to another room, where the safe in the room and as well as 2 drawers were broken, but it did have clean sheets on it. So we spent the night because trip .com states not refunds can be given and we are on a budget. In the morning, this hotel says it incoludes free breakfast, which is not free because the hotel amenities fee of 16$ and the parking fee of 16$ adds up to cover breakfast. This breakfast has giants signs all over the walls saying all good is prohibited to go back to your rooms or leave their cafeteria, which I may add was the worst hotel breakfast I have ever had at any hotel. There was plain white sandwich bread in a tub, a broken toaster and canned fruit put in a tub. As well as microwaveable pancakes that they ran out of and did not refill, and fruit loops cereal that wouldn’t come out of the turn machine. The trash cans in the breakfast area were overflowing. For the price of this hotel with all additional fees upon arrival, we could’ve stayed at many other options in the area that would’ve been much better. Staff did not care at all when asked why so many things were broken or if we could have assistance, took over an hour to get a response. Worst hotel experience I have ever had.
