Very nice place, nice atmosphere, nice owners!
A prime example of outstanding hospitality! Outstanding value for money, good rooms, and owners as friendly as you can imagine.
The B&B has a decent environment, but when I checked out, the B&B lady asked me for 30 US dollars of tax that was included in the room rate, which made me a little confused. Since then, every hotel has had to charge extra money. I think they did it on purpose. They asked for more if they could, and if they couldn't, they would forget it. Bathrooms in hotels in Uzbekistan are generally clogged with...
The hotel's WiFi signal is weak, and there is no signal on the mobile phone card in the room. The shower facilities are easy to use, the water is hot and the water volume is large. The breakfast is relatively simple, and the service attitude is good. The hotel is a family hotel with some rooms around a courtyard.
A very good place, very cheap, a few minutes walk from the center.
It's a little way to the main street, but from there it was convenient to all tourist attractions. The room is bright and clean. The bed width is a little narrow. They prepared something different for breakfast every day, and I'm glad I stayed here because they took care of me in various ways.

Hotel Samarkand Ali offers a comfortable and authentic stay in the historic city of Samarkand. The location is convenient, with easy access to major attractions such as Registan Square and Shah-i-Zinda. The rooms are clean, spacious, and well-maintained, providing a relaxing environment after a long day of sightseeing. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and always willing to assist with directions...
It's very close to the attractions, about a 10-minute walk. The staff were very friendly and checked us in quickly. The house is cleaned daily. It's a great place, highly recommended. The price is also very reasonable. There's air conditioning, but the temperature was comfortable at the time, so we didn't use it.
The room was clean, with a beautiful courtyard, typical local style, the owner was kind and hospitable, there was 24-hour hot water, and it was close to the main local attractions, just a few minutes' walk from Registan Square.
It offers good value for money, but the owner is a bit strange and difficult to communicate with.
The service is good, the price-performance ratio is good enough
good one! even there was no view at all in my room I was pretty happy with the place. quiet and safe, privately owned place. english was not very used. breakfast: average, but good and healthy. near of Registan square (7 min walk), some restaurants nearby. parking: free, if you succeed to find a spot. good option for sure!

The staff were extremely helpful and welcoming throughout my stay. They made me feel at home. Outstanding hospitality! The reception team was very professional and always ready to assist.
This hotel is right in the city center of Samarkand. The service is truly excellent. Both gentlemen at the front desk were wonderful, especially Diyar. He was incredibly kind, even accompanying me to a nearby Plov restaurant to pick up my food and then helping me carry it back to the hotel. Although his English wasn't perfect, he was genuinely a very good person. The other gentleman at the front desk...

This is a wonderful boutique hotel in Samarkand. There's no elevator, but the staff are very helpful with luggage. The rooms are well-equipped with a welcome amenity, and they are clean and cozy. If you're looking for a great hotel that's within walking distance of Samarkand's main attractions like Registan Square and Bibi-Khanym Mosque, and offers a homemade-style breakfast cooked fresh to order instead of a factory-like buffet, then this is the place for you.
A family-run guesthouse, quiet and cozy, not far from the market (10 minutes walk). The room is small and simple, more like a basic tourist lodge, but it has everything you need. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. It's a budget-friendly stay, and my impressions are only positive.
This hotel is located in a narrow alley. When I arrived at night, it was pitch black and dark. The owner was sleeping inside and only came out later. To be honest, it was quite scary. The Gaode Map navigation wasn't very accurate either. The room was reasonably priced, but solo travelers should consider this carefully. The owner doesn't speak English, but his son does.
This guesthouse used to be a private home. No one speaks English except for the father (the owner), who works outside during the day and is only around in the early morning and evening. Overall, they were very welcoming. Of course, as it's a family-run guesthouse, the facilities aren't great; the bed is also small and just okay. You can even pay on credit when you leave. Overall, the value for money...
It was a small guesthouse run by a family. They provided excellent service, including breakfast, and I had a wonderful time.
I was traveling alone. I arrived from Bukhara by overnight train using Yndex Go. The building was at the end of a dark street. Even though it was late at night, around 7:30 pm, I was touched by the welcoming atmosphere. They asked what time I wanted breakfast, so I requested 8 am. It took courage to go out at that time, but I walked to Registan Square. I could see the blue mosque building against...

The hotel is amazing, room is clean, breakfast is delicious. the staffs at the front desk especially whose name is Diyorbek are very friendly and helpful. Our suitcase is damaged and they helped us do the repair.
Right in the heart of Samarkand's tourist area, we could walk to Registan Square and other sights very quickly, which made sightseeing really comfortable. If you're staying multiple nights, being able to pop back to the hotel for a break during the day is a huge plus. The room was spacious, and the fantastic breakfast was also a highlight.
Room is clean and spacious. Also near to attractions as the mosque and within a short walking distance from Registan Square.
Great location, just a five-minute walk to the Bibi-Khanym Mosque and the bazaar. However, since it's on a pedestrian street, cars can't drive directly to the hotel. You'll need to walk about 500 meters from the squares on either side. (The nearby bazaar is huge, great for souvenirs, remember to bargain! 🙏) The hotel itself is quite new. The room interior is decent, nothing spectacular but clean and...
We had a great stay at Sangzor Hotel. The room was spacious, and the bed, linens, and pillows were very comfortable. They also allowed early check-in. Very good. They helped me with directions to tourist spots and calling a taxi. They were happy to schedule my check-out to coincide with my return flight. Breakfast was delicious, with rice, bread, fruit, ham, cheese, etc. I was able to get around the tourist spots on foot. Thank you very much.
The breakfast was absolutely delicious! It was freshly cooked in the kitchen right next to the dining room. Most of the food was homemade, and the soup, salad, and bread were all delicious! The hotel is conveniently located about a 10-minute walk from Registan Square. However, the hotel is in a back alley, so it's dark at night. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel's excellent location in the old part of Samarkand, within walking distance of the city's main attractions. Registan Square was a 10-minute walk away, and the Gur Emir Mausoleum was a 15-minute walk. We were also delighted with the breakfast, which offered a wide selection of dishes, including porridge, eggs, pastries, and fresh fruit.
The hotel is just a 5-minute walk from Registan Square in the city center, which is very convenient. You can go directly to the Registan Square light show at night. The staff speaks English and is easy to communicate with. There are also popular restaurants about a 5-minute walk away.
The hotel is in an excellent location, just a 10-minute walk from Registan Square. However, it's set back from the main road, so it may be a little difficult to find at first. This little place on an unassuming street in Samarkand is the best hotel I’ve stayed at! The building is beautiful and clean. The Registan is about a five minute walk away, and the bus stop for getting to the train station is a ten minute walk away. The breakfast is outstanding. It’s a set, unlike the buffet offered seemingly everywhere else, but its presentation is gorgeous and I was never hungry...
The location of the hotel, being in a secluded alley, but close to all major attractions was ideal. The staff were super, especially Asad at the front desk, who was kind and helpful throughout our stay. The breakfast was sumptuous and delicious. Super large bed and very comfortable mattress. The rain shower in my room was cracked and spritzing all over from multiple points when the shower is on. However...
When I saw so many five-star reviews, I was actually a bit skeptical at first. But after checking in, I realized the comments were not exaggerated at all. The hotel staff are attentive to your needs — breakfast is served within five minutes of sitting down, and on the day of checkout, they came immediately to help carry and fix things as soon as I stepped out of the room. They always greet you with...
Probably the best service at a hotel I have ever had in my life. The kindest staff, quaintest courtyard, and beautiful quiet setting. Great AC, warm showers and good sized rooms. The ONLY con (if you don’t like it) is that the beds are the hardest I’ve ever slept on. I would have liked it a tad softer but still slept well.
The staff alone deserves 6 stars, incredibly helpful and friendly. They made sure to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The hotel is small and pretty and is very well taken care of. The location is also great, being only a few minutes walking from the Registan. Super recommended!
Had such a lovely experience here. The staff are so friendly and helpful, from bringing me medicine when I felt sick to extending breakfast timing to accommodate us. The location is perfect--just 5-10 minutes walk from key attractions, yet the hotel itself is incredibly peaceful and quiet. The rooms include all the desired toiletries and the cost can't be beat. A nice little surprise is the affordable...

The location was excellent and Mr. Furkat went above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The accommodation is perfectly situated, with all the main sights of Samarkand just around the corner. And the breakfast was absolutely outstanding.
It’s a dreamy place full of old stuff: wooden crafted doors, furniture, carpets, and other things. The breakfast is migrating from place to place, every time it’s different. They have a rooftop with a nice view, and a shady garden. It’s dusty though, and the rooms are a bit tiny, but if you stay there a couple of days it shouldn’t be a problem. Wi-Fi was good in room N11 on the second floor. Nice...
First the best thing about the Hotel: It's located in a small side street right next to Registan, most of the attractions are reachable on food. I stayed at this hostel while in Samarkand recently. It’s definitely not a modern hotel, but it’s charming nonetheless. There’s a really wonderful rooftop at the top where I sat and typed in the morning on two of the days I was there. At 8 AM there is a free breakfast, which was fairly tasty. It was a classic and stylish mansion. The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly. Since it was the furthest room, the Wi-Fi was a bit weak, and the bed mattress needed replacing. It's within walking distance of Siap Bazaar. There are no large supermarkets nearby, but there's a small one 350 meters away. It's about a 400-meter walk to the restaurant.
A wonderful small family-run hotel, good value for money. I booked through Booking.com, and a room cost me just $20. The interior has an authentic, colorful design. It's located near the historic center. We had trouble with the shower pressure, so ask the hostess how to turn on the water motor. The breakfasts are delicious.
The hotel is easy to reach from the train station by tram 2 and is close to the Siyob market. It's a traditional hotel and our smallish room looked like a fairytale with velvet and bright colours. The bed was quite hard, and the original sheets too small until we asked for bigger ones. The shower was old and the water not always hot. Breakfast was okay, staff very friendly.
Excellent Service!everything goes smooth.Breakfast superb! ms Erida cooked rice for us:;))Hotel location was close to attractions by walk.Shout to Ms Eroda and her daughter their very nice and very responsive.I will comeback again to this place. In sha allah.:)))

Really convenient location with very friendly and helpful personel. A beautiful garden where you can chill out during the heat of the day with some tea. The rooms are nothing luxury, but that is in balance with the low price of this hotel. An absolute amazing place if you don't mind having a bit less luxury in your room!

When you open the door from the road and enter the hotel, you'll find yourself in a different world. It's even more beautiful at night. You have to take your shoes off when you enter the building. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful. I'd love to stay here again if I have the chance.
The interior is super cute and the location is perfect, just walking distance from Registan Square. On our last day, we were leaving early in the morning and worried we wouldn't be able to eat breakfast, but they kindly gave us a breakfast box lunch. Thank you!
The room was clean and cozy, the host was very welcoming, the breakfast was plentiful, and the guesthouse was in a great location, within walking distance of all the major attractions. Samarkand is truly a treasure trove of an ancient city, I loved it here. Overall, it was a very satisfying stay.

The owner supposedly speaks fluent Japanese, but she was out. The female manager doesn't speak Japanese, English, or Russian at all. Communication is limited to Google Translate. The breakfast here was by far the best I have had in Uzbekistan and the region in general. Lots of vegetarian options and very generous spreads. The room itself was clean, however they were missing a TV. No shower curtains despite having a rod. Smelled like sewage at times. The pillows were also too fat and uncomfortable.
We had original reservations at Samarkand City centre, but we were told upon arrival that "there had been accident, room is stinky," so they sent us here, even promising a window view. We had a very pleasant stay at Shahnoza Grand. The location is very central which allowed us to pop in and out as needed. The room was comfortable and cozy, it is what you would expect for such affordable accommodation. The owners were very friendly and welcoming and their birds singing in the courtyard was a lovely addition.
Our room was very spacious and incredibly beautifully decorated. The courtyard with its seating area and pool was also lovely. However, what we will remember most is the host's hospitality and helpfulness. We felt very comfortable and can highly recommend it.
I don't know why there are negative comments here. I arrived a few hours ago with my boyfriend and his parents and I'm enjoying a really large room with a hot shower, a well-divided bathroom that's practically brand new.
