Emily Grand Palace Hotel, Samarkand1 / 10

Samarkand (in the centre) 🧭 Map
We spent a long time carefully choosing a hotel, reading reviews, looking at the map. Now we can draw our own conclusions. My overall rating is 8.5 out of 10. Pros: 1. New. This means everything is clean and modern. The interior is modern and beautiful. Fresh sheets and towels (the terry towels are simply superb). Beautiful new white tulle curtains and thick curtains protect against the sun, which...
I loved everything! The staff was polite and always ready to help! Everything was clean! The breakfast was excellent and varied, I'll definitely recommend it to my friends!
We stayed at this hotel in March 2026. It's new, clean, and beautiful! The reception staff is very friendly, always ready to help with any questions. Breakfast is the same every day, but we always found something to eat! They always offer coffee, which they brew themselves! There are always delicious dried apricots, raisins, and nuts with the tea. The room had three single beds, a good bathroom, and...
Stayed for 2 nights, easy check in/out, comfortable clean rooms with all mod cons. Slippers and toothbrushes are included now, to answer the previous review :) Hotel should be a lot busier than it is, very friendly staff. Specific mention to Mohammed at reception who was incredibly helpful with taxis and restaurants. Good breakfast (not doing lunch/dinner), solid room wifi. Only disadvantage would...
This small hotel is located 8 km from the airport. Its advantages include private parking and a shopping center and Korzinka grocery store nearby. The triple room is a decent size, very clean, and everything is new. The breakfasts are passable; you won't go hungry. All the advantages are outweighed by the terrible soundproofing in the rooms. There is absolutely no soundproofing. In the mornings and...
It's a good hotel, well located in a central area of Samarkand (not the best; the best would be near the Boulevard). Some shops are within walking distance. It's a decent hotel, but it lacks basic amenities for its level, such as toothbrushes, slippers, and shampoo—things that any other hotel provides. The service is friendly, but no one speaks English, so everything had to be done with a translator...

The best thing in the hotel is Mr jonibek at reception He is very polite and helpful wishing him good future
The hotel was clean. Reception staff were polite and friendly to humans and me as a teddy bear. Although basic, the hotel has a small swimming pool.
We had a great welcome, polite staff, delicious breakfast, clean pool!

Samarkand (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
This place feels more like a small guesthouse than a regular hotel. There is no hotel sign yet, and the building itself is still partially unfinished, so arriving for the first time can be a little confusing. But the location is already properly listed on both Yandex Maps and Google Maps, making it still quite easy to find. It is also only around 1.2 km from Registan Square, so walking there is very...
Close to Registan. Excellent place. Has everything you need.
Let's start by saying this isn't a hotel, it's a hostel. It's a few apartments in an unfinished building. Each three-room apartment shares a kitchen, shower, and toilet. As for staff, there's just one young man who does everything: checks guests in, takes payments, changes linens, and probably should clean, but that wasn't happening, and he even sleeps there. The shower has a very strong sewage smell...
The young stuff was unbelievably kind and polite. The day after my stay, I needed to leave Samarkand late at night to catch an overnight train to Khiva. Even after the check-out, the hotel helpfully let me take a shower and rest in a room for free. Their hospitality was incredible. For a possible guest, note that there is no single room with an individual bathroom. Additionally, the breakfast was...
Room The hotel rooms were very clean and nice. The bathrooms, especially the shared showers, had poor drainage. Location The main tourist attractions are within walking distance. Restaurants are also within walking distance. The hotel entrance is quite difficult to find, so please refer to the attached photo. Staff The staff were very kind and helpful.

The location is excellent. The owner is fluent in English and very kind. The breakfast looked delicious, but the serving time was late, so I ended up not having it. Perhaps because it's a family-run business, someone was always in the common areas, which made me feel a bit uncomfortable.
I picked the right one! Helpful and nice owner makes my stay so easy. You can go to any main attractions on foot. The room is nice feeling so homey. Thank you for the hospitality!
Great place to stay in Samarkand, it is close to the most important sights. Hosts are very nice and helpful, breakfast is so good! We will definitely come back!
The place is amazing! It's located in the center, but a little hidden, so it's always quiet there. It is very comfortable and the atmosphere there is nice. It’s like being in a village with your grandparents. If I come to Samarkand again, I will definitely stay at this place.
Very great locations and helpful staff. Unfortunately room has carpets and I am allergic to carpets. Overall nice experience
The location is absolutely top-notch, and the service is incredible. They speak fluent English, so there are no communication issues at all. If you get to know them well, they'll even recommend some local spots that only the locals know about.

near to Samarkand airport, but to see historical places, you need to get a taxi, there are some fast food stores nearby, breakfast was kind of ok, rooms are ok, but in my room i could hear how hot water were running through pipes for the central heating system, all night...reception staff was ok, just an average place, nothing special.
We stayed 3 nights here during our visit to Samarkand. We would highly recommend this hotel. Nice newly renovated rooms, cozy garden with swimming pool and very friendly staff.
Perfect hotel - beautiful swimming pool, very nice rooms, easy access to city center and monuments with taxi, excellent breakfast...
Modern hotel around 15/20 mins drive from main historic sites. Perhaps consider a hotel nearer to the old town if touring Nice bedroom (Room 106) overlooking central courtyard and minaret Usual facilities except tea making King sized bed strangely had double bed sized quilt so didnt reach both sides of the bed. Decent breakfast Staff speak ok English
This is a comfortable and clean hotel near regestan touristic sight. Free wifi is available in the rooms but the signal is a little bit poor. Breakfast quality is good. There is an exchange bureau and a giftshop and bar available.
The Orient Star is a large hotel frequented mainly by groups of organized tours. At the back it has a pleasant garden with a swimming pool, the common areas and the rooms are clean and the food in the restaurant is quite good. The rooms are quite large, with air conditioning, TV and fridge. However, the furniture is old and creaky and the TV is too small, difficult to see from a certain distance. On...

A wonderful, stylish hotel! The breakfasts are fantastic: potato pies just like grandma used to make, watermelon, melon, royal cheesecake, pancakes, and other delicious treats! The coffee machine is complemented by several geyser coffee makers, so there's no need to line up for coffee. The rooms are quiet, maybe a little tired, but clean and have everything you need, including dental kits. The location...
There were restaurants nearby. I really liked the place except the stairs. Room 1 was great, had a courtyard. Staff were helpful. Breakfast ok. Bed was comfortable. Would stay there again
The staff is very welcoming and flexible. The rooms are clean and well equipped with the standard amenities needed
Hotel for smokers. Beautiful patio is full of smoke, so non-smokers can not withstand it longer than 5 min. Smoke from the patio goes through the windows to all rooms around the patio. It is great hotel for smokers and unpleasant for no smokers. When I discussed problem with the staff, they pointed out that smokers need a nice place for relaxation. On the other hand - very friendly staff and very...
Group hotel located 40 minutes walk from the Registan. Large, old-fashioned room with carpet and bathroom in need of updating overlooking the street. There is no elevator to access the rooms on the first floor. Good breakfast with a choice of sweet and savory items, go early otherwise there will be no seating.
A great hotel for traveling! The room is warm and has everything you need (hairdryer, toothbrush, toothpaste, slippers, shampoo, and hair dryer). Good Wi-Fi. Delicious breakfasts! Friendly staff! They'll help you solve any problem and give you directions. I recommend it to everyone!

This hotel is incredibly clean, and the front desk staff, especially the young man, was very welcoming and polite. The environment is really comfortable with a lovely little garden. My parents and I went to this hotel and we found all facilities of the hotel were extremely good. I highly recommend it for anyone who is travelling as it was...
The hotel is conveniently located, a 2-minute walk from the train station. Nearby are the railway market, bus hub, tram terminal, and various restaurants. The rooms are spacious and well-equipped. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is rich, including meat dishes.
I stayed here to catch an early sleeper train. The station is about 3 minutes away. I couldn't eat breakfast, so they prepared a lunch box for me. The front desk staff were also very helpful, so I was able to stay there with peace of mind. Excellent hotel, right in the historic center of the city, a 30-minute walk from Registon Square. Clean room, delicious and filling breakfasts, helpful staff. I recommend it to everyone.
One of the fine Hotel. With homely environment and very clean and tidy. Mr Sarwar in reception is very helpful. It’s is run by owner whose house is just behind the property. You get home experience. They will allow you to go Laundry room for wash and Ironing. Breakfast need to be improved a bit. Down town is 5 mins drive from hotel. You can book car through Yandex App.
Thank you for your hospitality. They re ready to go above and beyond to provide great hospitality and customers service. Beds are comfortable, everything was so clean and breakfast was amazing. Sarvar did a great job, rahmat!
Lovely hotel, clean rooms, very warm. Large smart TV (there is Wi-Fi, YouTube works), minibar, electric kettle. But there is no hair dryer in the bathroom (you can ask at the reception). Varied breakfast. We had 2 types of porridge, fried eggs, boiled eggs, croutons, pancakes, tubes, various cookies, sweets, jams, fresh fruits, dried fruits, teas, coffee, juices. Many thanks to the Ahmad hotel staff
Excellent Mini hotel, all family. At the entrance you need to take off your shoes, i.k. the whole hotel is carpeted, and everyone walks like at home barefoot. This is a wonderful hotel. The receptionists were very kind and polite, and the rooms were clean. If I had to point out some negatives, - The sauna requires a reservation, so you might not be able to use it. - It's located in a park, so you have to walk about 5 minutes to get to the taxi stop. - I arrived at the venue just after breakfast started, but it wasn't ready. However, I was personally very...

The overall experience at EmirHan Hotel in Samarkand was below expectations. Room cleanliness was very poor, and the bathroom ceiling had leaks, which made the stay uncomfortable. However, considering the issues with maintenance and hygiene, there are definitely better options...
The hotel was fine, I was disappointed by how long it took to check in having arrived at 12:15am nobody at the desk and they were asleep out the back and I had to wait 15 minutes to check in. The breakfast was good and it’s not too far to the old town. They did help me organise a taxi to get to the train station.
The hotel staff does everything to make your stay comfortable. We were checked in early, without extra charges. They look for ways to help with all questions. There is water/tea in the room, sweets for tea. The only drawback is the lack of a kitchen. Breakfast is brought from somewhere. It is warmed up. one of the best hotel in samarkand, they might be old but oldies but goldie. you can feel the culture with this hotel, and the staff here are amazing from receptionist to everyone serving food at the buffet, love the ambiance and hospitality. and btw you can get 15percent discount with emirhan restaurant if you are staying at this hotel. will be back here for sure. thanks again.
I like the style of the hotel very much. It is very distinctive and the breakfast is also good. It's very convenient to take a taxi to the attractions. It's just that there is a big mirror on the ceiling which feels weird, but I like it overall.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the hotel. The location is excellent, with a bank, shops, supermarket, and cafes nearby, as well as a public transport stop. The rooms were clean and beautiful. The hotel is a bit out in the middle of nowhere, but you can get anywhere quickly. The facilities are very elegant. The room cleaning leaves a little to be desired, but it's adequate.
The hotel is not in the city center, about a 35-40-minute walk from the center. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was modest, as the hotel is sparsely populated in winter. We tried the pool, but you need to book in advance. The sauna was good, and the pool was warm. The only downside was the dripping ceiling due to poor ventilation.
I don't feel like doing it again ㅡㅡ
The hotel is apparently new, the furniture still smells like new paints. The bed is quite hard, so it's a little uncomfortable. I recommend it. Association of the Club of Restauranteurs of Kazakhstan

Samarkand, Mullakandov street, 62 (2 km from centre) 🧭 Map
The room was a bit tired and in need of an update. The showerhead wasn't working properly, with weak water pressure and water spraying everywhere. There was also a clog in the shower, causing water to leak underneath. Basically, I just managed to get through one night.
It's a beautiful place, room is clean. However here and then got electric issue, but other than that all is good. Staff is helpful, but they dont return your balance when you pay by cash (in my case is for the tourist tax). Location wise, very strategic. Less than 10 mins walk to samarkand square and to restaurants/store.
The night receptionist (very tall, young man) was very helpful. He solved all the issues and tried to help me. This was very good point. I thank you again for him. But the facility , room and breakfast was not good. I am sorry to say this but I stayed in better condition hotels with less price until now in Uzbekistan. So I can't say it was nice stay here. But the workers were good.
They're cutting corners on everything here. If you're not among the first for breakfast, you'll either get nothing or have to beg for everything, and there's no guarantee you'll actually get it. There's no water or kettle in the room. The toilet paper is like sandpaper, and the bed linen is awful and smells of sweat.
Facilities: A bit old. Location: Tucked away in an alley. Cleanliness: Decent. Service: Good. The little white note indicates they can open (the room/door) proactively. They allowed an early check-in, and adding just 5,000 won for breakfast was a great deal! I recommend taking a taxi here; otherwise, you'll never find the place.
Great location, the room is huge. Good breakfast, free coffee and tea during all day

This hotel is quite cost-effective for Samarkand. After all, it's not easy to find a hotel in this country that guarantees a comfortable, clean, and good night's sleep at this price.
The hotel is far from 5-star, just an overnight stop before a flight. Close to the airport.
Pleasant stay, With excellent services.
Everything was fine, good, but not great. We arrived around 9am and had to pay 50% for early check-in, which was a downside. Everything else was fine. The beds were also very hard.
Unexpected hotel, very new, all facilities feel newly added, hotel service attitude is also good, but originally agreed in advance to help pack breakfast in the morning and put it in the refrigerator, but I didn't see the arrangement in the end
The main reason is that the location is convenient and cost-effective. I booked it for a friend. I have stayed there before and thought it was pretty good. I chose this hotel again this time. It is a beautiful city.

The hotel is located in the city center, with convenient parking. The restaurant is in the garden. Although it was almost ten o'clock in the evening, we were still served meals. The mutton soup and barbecue here were also very good. Breakfast was free and was ok.
Large, new, clean and beautiful hotel with a courtyard. And the hotel staff are even more wonderful. Rachel, Sevara, Hassan and other girls. They will always help and advise.
Sparkling. Samarkand is a nice place to stay. The sheets in the bathroom are spotlessly clean. There is a buffet breakfast.
