Red Hotel Yerevan Center in Yerevan

EXTREMELY BAD! I really don’t understand how this place was even qualified as a hotel!
My husband and I booked the place through Booking.com
Having grown up in Yerevan I should’ve remembered the location - unfortunately, even though it still counts as extended city center, it is really not that well located and if one wants to walk to the city center it’s a good 20+ minutes walk through bumpy streets. Not the best experience for a tourist.
However, location was only the small part of the problem. When we arrived, we couldn’t find anyone to check us in for a while, even though it was early evening. After a while an elderly guy came who was as far from being professional and polite as possible. He shows us two rooms that were nothing like what we saw on Booking.com
They were not clean, the air conditioning didn’t work and the bathroom smelled bad. Moreover, we noticed some very suspicious people around, like in one of the ground floor rooms there were several guys who were not fully dressed and didn’t look sober either. Long story short, we cancelled our booking immediately (after a very intense and again not so professional conversation with the owner or whoever he was) and had to look for another hotel. I strongly advise the owners of the place to get their business straight and hire someone professional if they cannot handle customers. And please, don’t lie on photos. People will eventually end up at your place and see everything with their own eyes.
