Need lots of improvements specially toilets and central air conditioning system
Been there twice and will be staying there in the spring of 2019. The hotel is very close to the rail system and The Forbidden City. They have a tour and train ticket office in the lobby. Love their currency exchange machines that charge a very small fee for the exchange. The food and service are very good. Spring of 2017 they were constructing outdoor spaces that looked pretty cool. We are looking...
Amazing hotel. Service is very good. Nice selection of foods, night time cafe, and spa to relax your day. Made stay in beijing very pleasent with Capital Hotel. At last we choose Capital Hotel, but it should have be the first.
One night in Beijing? Stay here...
My good luck, I could stay some nights more, and I enjoyed the Hotel very much. Very central, very good, very friendly. See u next time in Beijing.
Large rooms and a nice bath, Staff is accommodating and most speak english which is nice, however keep an eye on your bill. When checking out each person I was in line with including myself had extra fees which were not approved. It took 3 managers and 30+ min for them to realize their mistake after providing evidence.
Nice location and interior. If you're staying on the right side and height, you have a view of the Forbidden City.

The pool at this hotel was amazing. And the proximity to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City can't be beat. You definitely felt like you were being watched all the time as an American, I'm sure you were. It was difficult to upload data to social media as I assume the Chinese government verified it before it could be uploaded, which was an experience in itself. The hotel was a great location...

Best hotel pool I’ve ever seen. Beautiful tropical area underground. Great location, helpful staff and delicious breakfast. Comfortable room with small and dated bathroom. We also had Peking Duck at Made in China restaurant inside the hotel and it was an experience.
Convenient Club Floor and Lounge (can't go wrong on the nightly snacks). Great in-hotel restaurants - love the duck at Made in China. Always made to feel welcome.
I can't say enough nice things about this property. Beware of others claiming to be a "5 star"- many are not. The front desk was exceptional, the room was beautiful and clean, and it has a great location. The executive lounge is among the best I've ever experienced, and well worth the surcharge. Truly an oasis to return to after a busy day.

Firstly, for those with high expectations regarding facilities and environment, this hotel is a no-go. Secondly, if you're from Shanghai, stay away. Out of the 1200 yuan room fee, 800 yuan is for historical sentiment.
History: 100 points.
Front-line staff personal attitude: 90 points (10 points deducted for the male supervisor at the Chinese Etiquette Hall). The staff were all very polite. Team coordination...
Great location, close to Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing, with a subway station right downstairs. The service was attentive, and the staff were very friendly. The hotel has a rich history, definitely worth experiencing if you're visiting Beijing.
Staying at the Beijing Hotel evoked a sense of nostalgia, and the experience was truly excellent.
Facilities: Although a bit old, they are well-maintained and fully functional.
I specifically booked the 'First Banquet of the Founding of the PRC' at the Chinese Courtesy Hall on the second floor, and had the most delicious braised pork ball (shizitou).
Cleanliness: Excellent
Environment: Excellent...
This is an iconic hotel in Beijing, but its facilities are indeed quite old now. It probably would have been considered excellent back in the 80s or 90s. Its biggest advantage is its proximity to Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing, and convenient subway access. The standard rooms here are also much more spacious compared to other hotels in the area. It really depends on what you're looking for, as you...
A classic century-old hotel with a superb location, within walking distance to Tiananmen Square and Wangfujing. The hotel itself boasts a rich historical ambiance. Rooms are clean and comfortable, and the service is steady and thoughtful. It's a quiet oasis amidst the bustling city, making it very convenient for getting around and sightseeing.
The hotel is close to Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City. However, due to its proximity, there are various restrictions, such as balconies being unusable and limited transportation options. Despite these inconveniences, I deeply felt the solemnity of the capital. The service was quite average; the front desk staff spoke softly, and their Beijing accent was difficult to understand. During conversations...

The hotel is located in Wangfujing, very close to the Old Palace. The hotel room is very spacious. Easily to meet people here. There are washer and dryer in the room which is great to the travelers and families. Overall the hotel is great.
The only problem is there seems some customers smoking in their rooms, although it’s a nonsmoking hotel.
Nice large room, although felt a little be dated. Location is good. Easy to get around. Breakfast good.
Great location, good sized rooms. Although configuration a bit weird with bathtub in front of TV in bedroom.hotel quite dated too
Located adjacent to Wang Fujing street and is close to metro line too. There are shopping malls in 5 to 10 mins proximity. Room service last order is at 9:30 pm and the breakfast buffet has a generous spread and from 6:30 am to 10 am except perhaps Sunday when it's upto 10:30 am. We stayed in a One BHK and it is a spacious area for dining and the washing machine doubles up as a dryer. The study gets...
Very spacious. But there were dead flies on the bed and the bath tub in the first room. Also, there was water dipping from the air-con. The staff switched and upgraded to another bigger room. Facilities are old but still clean
Enjoyed our stay at the premise . Location, room comfort, and room service are all good and breakfast is satisfactory, though the night reception needs to improve on customer service skills, except for one lady who was very helpful and decisive. She even came to my room to inform that we were given two days of complimentary breakfast. At the end of the stay, another lady came to check if we were satisfied...
This best thing about this hotel is the location. Perfectly centrally located for Tiananmen Square and the Forbidden City, both are in walking distance.

I booked three nights here for convenience to visit the Forbidden City, Shichahai, Temple of Heaven, and Yonghe Temple. Great location, very close to Tiananmen Square. The hotel environment is also excellent! 👍
Great location, and the staff were actually quite polite. However, the bathroom facilities are really outdated; showering in the bathtub is inconvenient, and the showerhead is fixed and can't be adjusted. Also, I find some of the positive reviews here a bit hard to believe.
The facilities are outdated, and showering in the bathtub is inconvenient due to the showerhead. The bathroom fixtures are of very poor quality. This place is only capitalizing on its location; it's an embarrassment to the capital. I hope they improve it to live up to its Wangfujing location.
Good location, beside is train station and wangfujing
Staff all very kind and helpful
The location is fantastic, very close to Xiehe Hospital. Front desk staff Xiao Liu provided excellent service. I'll definitely be back next time.
I was busy storing my luggage, and the service was excellent. The front desk staff, particularly Xiao Xu, was very enthusiastic. The location is great, right next to Wangfujing Pedestrian Street. There's a Luckin Coffee and a convenience store downstairs at the hotel. I'm very satisfied. A good choice.

This is a great hotel, friendly local staff. Food great too, Western style buffet at breakfast but great local dishes too. Bok Choi in oil is delicious. Mainly Chinese here, so if uninterested in mixing with locals & trying out your Mandarin. Then go to a Hyatt hotel or elsewhere.
Personally I loved it, I’ve stayed several times. An easy walk from Tianamen Square East station.
Once again I love this...
Very good location! I needed a room quickly and was not looking to pay a lot. Pictures show very nice rooms. I got a room with no windows. But for the price and location, it's not bad. Room is clean and staff was pleasant. Can't expect much for $70 canadian and this location. So overall it's okay. I'm sure other rooms are great. But obviously will pay more. So just for location alone I'd say try it...
The location of the TianAn Regards is excellent. Between Wangfujing and Tiananmen Square, it is walking distance from most sites in Beijing. Rooms vary greatly in size. We have stayed twice: once in October and once in May. This has lead us to the conclusion that the rooms do not have functioning heating and cooling, despite controls on the wall. Weather was quite nice in May, with highs in the upper...
So much fun we ate on the rooftop terrace where we stayed for late night drinks. The food was so satisfying and beautifully prepared. Staff bent over backwards for us. The best long island ice tea ever had!!
Very average room, got a way smaller room than in pictures, dark and dingy lighting in the bathroom, reception didn’t speak much English which made it hard for international visitors, room had all your toiletries though, toothbrush, shampoo, combs and shower caps, breakfast was very odd and people always loud in the hallways on their phones or just chatting.
A nice quaint clean hotel. The bed was hard and the thermostat didn't work. But truthfully, it was a wonderful place to stay and I would stay again.

The location is about 15 minutes walking distance to the TianAn Meng square. The buffet breakfast is good. The bathroom floors labor work is not very good. The tub was really old, many scratches, and looks so dirty and old.

I was so happy to receive a handwritten card; the staff member who drew the adorable 'bubu' character really put a lot of thought into it. It was so cute! Located at a historical building and about 200m away from the forbidden city east gate. Rooms are ok and clean (not too modern!) but more than adequate. Location is king. 400m from the Wang Fu Jing shopping street and lots of eateries around the hotel.
Perfect location as it is near the Forbidden City, the Walking Street in Beijing, the pickup points for tours to the Great Wall and others.
Mid-level comfortable and spacious hotel that I would definitely recommend.

The room was clean and tidy, and the front desk and room service were excellent. There were free drinks in the fridge and complimentary laundry service. I'd definitely stay here again if I have the chance. Overall, it was a great stay!
Very good! I'm surprised to find such an affordable and high-value single room right in the heart of Beijing. The breakfast was tasty, and the hotel staff were excellent.
The hotel's location is excellent, right next to the subway station and a shopping mall, making it super convenient to get to all the attractions in Beijing. The front desk service was also great. We were incredibly lucky that it snowed in Beijing, and we spontaneously decided to bring our child for a trip. The hotel even upgraded us to a family room! Highly recommend staying here.
The location of Nanjing Grand Hotel is absolutely fantastic! You can take Metro Line 8 directly to Jinyu Hutong Station, and it's just a few minutes' walk from the exit, no need to go out of your way at all.
The bedding in the room was incredibly comforting – clean, skin-friendly, and neatly made. I had a very comfortable night's sleep. The most convenient part is getting to the main attractions....
