AVOID THIS HOTEL FROM HELL – COCKROACHES, FILTH AND COMPLETE DISREGARD FOR HYGIENE STANDARDS, FAKE REVIEWS

We stayed 3 nights in this hotel and the hygienic conditions were absolutely unacceptable. The room window was broken, the wallpaper throughout the hotel was stained and dirty, and every morning breakfast was left in a paper bag on the floor outside the room doors, next to other guests’ garbage bags. Completely disgusting and unsanitary.

The worst part happened on the third night. After going to bed, we found large cockroaches crawling in the bed. We immediately went to reception, but the night receptionist told us the hotel was fully booked and refused to change our room. She also made no effort to contact another hotel or help us find alternative accommodation. As a result, we were forced to sleep on the reception sofa for the entire night because the manager was unreachable and apparently “does not start work before a certain hour.”

At 7:30 in the morning, during the shift change, another receptionist arrived. We asked at least for a refund of the last night considering the horrifying conditions. While the night receptionist at least remained calm despite being useless, the morning receptionist was rude and aggressive. After a long discussion, when we insisted on a refund for at least the last night, she actually tried to blackmail us by demanding a positive review before approving any refund. Obviously, we refused.

Since we had to leave for our return flight, I contacted Trip.com customer service directly. Thankfully, their support team acted immediately and contacted the hotel. However, the rude receptionist refused any refund and falsely claimed that we “did not want to find an agreement.” What kind of agreement? Leaving a fake 5-star review for a hotel where you risk catching diseases?

Fortunately, Trip.com customer service was professional and efficient and assured us they would personally refund one night.

My advice to everyone is simple: if you care even remotely about hygiene and your health, DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL.

Location is perfect for those who want a budget stay near The Bund and Nanjin Road for a few nights.
Some facts that may help you to decide about hotel
- The rooms are really tiny for two people
- The road near the hotel is quiet. The soundproofing isn't great and doors slam loudly. So it's all about your neighborhoods..
- Rooms are clean, but need a "refresh". There was a strong smell in our first room. We asked to change the room and the second one was okay.
- Breakfast consists of bread, eggs, and milk. Every day.
- We got a really perfect view from our window.

The room was very clean, and the bed was super comfortable. The staff member was amazing, and they even delivered breakfast right to our door! Highly recommend!

As a frequent business traveler, this stay was exceptionally good, thanks to the thoughtful service from Dandan at the front desk. She helped me print documents, arranged breakfast for me early the next morning, and when I encountered a minor issue in my room, she responded and followed up immediately to resolve it. Her efficiency and responsibility made me feel like I was receiving family-like care in an unfamiliar city.

Amazing location- very comfortable beds- water bottles and fresh towels provided each day- USB ports all helpful. Noise was well managed - for so many rooms didn’t hear others at all. Breakfast is very basic- room delivery each morning- unfortunately no toaster for the bread and our shower water drained very slowly (minor issues).
Would definitely recommend.

The location is convenient, with easy access to transportation in a bustling area. The facilities are comprehensive, and breakfast is included. The environment is clean, and it offers great value for money. We stayed in a historic building. The front desk staff spoke fluent English and even gave us cold cream as a souvenir. Excellent! We'll definitely stay here again if we have the chance.

I spent quite some time choosing a hotel, and this one really stood out. It's clean, hygienic, and for such a prime location, the rooms are surprisingly spacious. The area is incredibly convenient – very close to the Bund, the subway, and the pedestrian street. I'll definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The free breakfast is a bonus, especially considering the area. For a complimentary offering in such a high-value location, I think people shouldn't be too picky; I found it to be pretty good.

Someone apparently didn't check the milk's expiration date, and now the hotel has to handwrite it on! LOL.

After looking at several hotels for our family trip, we decided to choose this one again – it's our second time staying here. The main reason is its convenient downtown location, close to all the major attractions and popular spots. The room was clean and tidy. The only downside was that there was no phone in the room. However, the front desk service was excellent; Miss Dangdang was very kind and proactively gave our child a puzzle, as well as slippers for kids. They even had mini preserved vegetables for breakfast, highly recommended! [spin]

The hotel's front desk staff were professional and the lobby was bright. The hotel is located on the Bund, just outside the city center, making it convenient for getting around. Coming back to the hotel after enjoying the night view, stepping into the lobby felt so atmospheric, and the Christmas decorations were dazzling. This experience far exceeded my expectations! From the moment I walked in until I left, every detail made me feel at ease and comfortable. The environment was sparkling clean, and the staff member, Dangdang, was friendly and professional, truly making me feel at home. I'll definitely be back often and highly recommend it to everyone! They also offer complimentary breakfast delivered to your door, which is fantastic for someone like me who's a bit lazy.

I chose this place because breakfast was advertised, but it turned out to be just an egg, a bottle of milk, and a pack of bread – quite disappointing. The staff insisted the egg was freshly boiled that morning. Anyone who cooks regularly would know better; even the replacement eggs I received later weren't fresh, despite their claim of being boiled the same day.

Very cute hotel. Front desk reception was very nice. She Attempted to speak English which I appreciated. The room was on the 9th floor. Decent size, for the price for the Bund. It’s an arty hotel so you have odd wall decorations. I do wish the lights were brighter for makeup purposes. The location is magical. Can’t beat it. You’re steps from Nanjing east, and the bund river side, 15-20 min walk from yuyuan garden, everything is accessible. I did NOT like breakfast. It was literally a brown paper bag with plain white bread, an over boiled egg and a milk and cookie left outside your room up against your door on the floor. That is NOT breakfast. Better off just not having it all. Check out and in was simple and easy which is great. Upon leaving I was given a lil gift and that was nice. I don’t really like the review pressure. Let ppl write reviews if they like and that will keep it honest.
