The young hotel staff and dated facilities created a jarring contrast, yet the minimalist, front-desk-less design and artistic hallways felt harmonious. The location was excellent. It was amusing to find a modern tablet controlling the room's lights and curtains in an older hotel. However, the cleanliness definitely needs improvement; there was a black thread in the bathrobe, making me wonder if it had truly been inspected.

I had to change the dates for a room I booked for Chinese New Year, as my plans changed. Big thanks to the Trip.com customer service for helping coordinate with the hotel.

Upon check-in, I met Agnes, whose professionalism and attentiveness made me feel so welcome. She handled both check-in and check-out swiftly and efficiently – truly professional. However, when we first arrived, the concierge was just standing by the door, completely ignoring us. They didn't even glance our way, let alone open the door. I was really put off by that. While I know a bit about the Andaz brand philosophy, it's still a service industry, and that felt a bit too 'free-spirited' for my liking.

On a positive note, breakfast deserves praise. Hyatt's F&B is consistently excellent. A small detail that stood out was after I finished my coffee, the server proactively asked if I wanted a refill and brought it right over to my table. I felt seen and appreciated their service-minded approach.

The housekeeping staff were also very thoughtful. When we returned to our room, it had just been cleaned. My child wanted to call for ice, and one of the staff members offered to arrange it for us, saying it would be delivered shortly. It was a really nice touch and definitely an example of service exceeding expectations.

Leaving the hotel, I have to mention the concierge again. They actually opened the door for us with one hand while the other hand was busy scrolling on their phone.

The location is great, right downstairs from Xintiandi. The staff were enthusiastic and the check-in experience was very good. The only minor issue is that the parking lot is a bit tricky to find every time, but considering the Xintiandi area, it's understandable.

Service: Fiona was incredibly nice. She explained everything thoroughly during check-in, patiently listened to our requests, and even gave us two complimentary breakfasts. Full marks for her excellent service!
Environment: The hotel is located near Xintiandi, surrounded by numerous shopping centers, and offers convenient transportation.
Hygiene: The hotel room was clean, indicating diligent housekeeping. We had a very comfortable stay.

Great location. Close to everything. Friendly staff. Great amenities. Only downside is the beds I. The double-bed rooms are the smaller double sized in stead of queen size

This hotel truly offers great value for money! Fiona at the front desk was very enthusiastic and helpful, the room was clean and tidy, and the facilities were complete. The price was also very reasonable. Both check-in and check-out were convenient, and the staff were friendly, making me feel at home during my travels. If I come back to this area again, I will definitely choose this hotel. I highly recommend it to anyone on a budget who still wants quality!

The hotel's location is incredibly convenient, right outside Shanghai Xintiandi, making dining and shopping very easy. The service was excellent, and the hygiene was impeccable. The Christmas atmosphere around was also very strong, I loved it!

This was my first time staying at the Andaz, and Peter checked me in. He seemed like a real food enthusiast and confidently told me their breakfast was excellent, urging me to try it on my first visit. He was absolutely right! The breakfast quality was very high, with a rich variety of both Chinese and Western options. If you went a bit later, there was even a queue. I was very satisfied with my stay overall. Great location, great service. Fiona was nice enough to let me check in early and late check out. Also another female staff was very nice to accompany me to the room when i asked her to.

The package deal I got was excellent value for money. The room decor was stylish and modern, and the lobby layout was quite innovative. Plus, it was super convenient to access Xintiandi directly from the hotel's entrance/exit.

The breakfast spread was incredibly generous, and the local snacks tasted great. The free happy hour for guests on the first floor (6:00 PM - 7:30 PM) was fantastic, with a wide selection and excellent service 👍

I'll definitely be back for another stay! 😍
