Overall, we had a very positive experience and would happily recommend Fontana Resort in Jelsa, especially to families with children looking for a pleasant place to stay on the island of Hvar

Would stay again! Enjoyed my stay here and would stay again. Walking distance to the downtown stretch and beautiful harbor views. As typical there is no AC and only a sheet is provided as cover on the bed

We enjoyed our stay at Fontana resort so much. The proximity of the sea and very nice beaches all around, and the animations program with yoga, aerobics and program for kids are so worth it!

By the seaside! Calm and peaceful enviroment. dont expect fully renovated rooms but everythi ng is clean, aircondition, big tv… , great value for money if you are looking for that

We had a very pleasant family holiday at Fontana Resort. We especially appreciated the friendly and helpful dining room staff, who were welcoming and smiling throughout our stay

It’s an amazing place for a holiday. Breathtaking views, delicious food, and comfortable rooms. The staff are hospitable and kind, always ready to help whenever you need

I think the maximum I stayed in line was 5mins, maybe twice in 10 days. • The soft drinks aren’t “undrinkable”. Not your standard Coca Cola, Sprite etc, but I wouldn’t necessarily expect this from an all-inclusive

Great staff very clean and fabulous views and outdoor areas . Food was good for breakfast but very basic lunch and dinner. Evening entertainment was good fun

We were anxious about our visit based on reviews of this hotel - totally unfounded. If you want a full English breakfast, maybe don't go to Croatia! That said, there was a lovely lady frying fresh eggs each morning

So we arrived at 12 and waited till 3 to get a room, however, when checked in, the phone didn’t work. Phone, remote control, door handles, light switches all really dirty

But for each night there was always plenty of different options which varied throughout our holiday. Yes, if you wanted pizza / meat from the BBQ there was a small line. But we’re talking a few minutes here

Room was lovely and clean and spacious (we did have a deluxe room with balcony). We found all the staff polite and friendly. Beautiful location, 15 mins easy walk to centre of Cavtat

Excellent location Very nice hotel with big pool and close to the beach. Excellent breakfast. They had great fitness and spa. It was clean everywhere all the time. Nice and helpful staff. We recommend this hotel.

The position is perfect, right on the water. The old town and bus stop really close by. The pool is beautiful, overlooking the sea. One of the best equipped hotels we've seen

Very nice, modern, well-equipped hotel in a great location. If you like swimming this is a great place to do it. x2 pools and the sea literally on your (back) doorstep. 22-23°C in October, water quality excellent

Fantastic hotel stayed 10 nights with my husband. Very clean in all areas, food outstanding with great professional friendly staff. Loved the infinity pool and various sun terraces lots to do in the hotel

The Valamar Meteor hotel was in a great location right by the beach and near the old town. The view was nice and the room was clean. Breakfast is also great !! The sunset is beautiful !!

It was an exelent experience. The location was stunning and the food was great. We loved your indoor pool and the sauna. The multimedia room was amazing and everyone loved it.

Beautiful, modern rooms. We could put the road bikes on the balcony. The food is good and the service friendly. The spa area could be bigger and warmer. But really great outside pool area and direct access to the ocean.

The shower was a bit difficult to get at the right temperature but it worked in the end. the room had a small balcony with a view to the sea. The old city center is about 5km away

We stayed at this hotel during the world championship taekwondo in Porec. The entrance is spacious as are the rooms. The elevators were a bit small for a hotel of this size

Unfortunately the restaurants closed early which left us with no food when returning from the tournament. It is possible to take out a lunch instead

there is a foot path to the city which makes for a nice walk

Another funny thing, they told me that there is a fitness center in -1 24/7 I came at 06:45 and nothing. there was only a sign for wellness open at 09:00. ?? The only plus is the location near the beach

The pool towels definitely need replacing, as many were stained. You only receive one per person, and it must be returned each day

There is also a great selection of drinks available by the pool. Breakfast was delicious, with a very wide choice of food, and we were also pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the buffet dinners

The pool area is definitely one of the highlights of the hotel. The pool itself is beautiful, the children loved the water slide, and the entire outdoor area is perfect for relaxing

Nice hotel but only if you can get it around 250 euro per night - any more and it’s probably expensive for what it is but hey it’s Hvar and nothing is cheap The rooms are nice and AC works well The Breakfast is very good and Marko and his team really go above and beyond The location is excellent right on a little beach which is free but chairs need to be rented and a 10 min walk along the boardwalk...

Breakfast offers a huge variety, but the quality could be improved for a hotel in this category. We had lunch by the pool once — pizza and tuna — and it was good, although nothing particularly memorable

Ours was small, but perfectly adequate, with a comfortable bed and great pillows. The pool area is nice, although this is where the hotel feels the most crowded: lots of guests, families and children

The smart rooms are great! Impeccable room service, cleaning staff, the pool guys, ocean at a very good temperature, everything is very well clean and kept impeccable

Each room needs tea bags, coffee, and milk in a room replenished each day. Currently you have 1 tea bag and 1 coffee tube for the whole week with your kettle and cups, id expext better for a 5 star hotel

This place is somewhere to reset and relax I loved the food here and really appreciated the amount of local dishes( you need to be willing to try something different) , if you are a basic pasta and pizza type go elsewhere

If you are expecting any Benidorm/Aya Napa style experience then this is not for you and would serve the majority of others better if you went elsewhere

The hotel is very well located, right on the beach. Service very good. Food was also good, more "freshly cooked" food could be offered. Very good value for money.

Lovely hotel on the coast between Dubrovnik and Split. Rooms were a touch on the small side, but adequate. The pool areas were lovely and there are steps straight down to the beach

Room nice with balcony overlooking pool and sea view. Pool areas (2) very nice, clean and not busy (mid sept) Beautiful views. Dinner choices were fine, slightly repetitive but queue for food was tiresome

Pools were really nice but seems ants everywhere crawling on the seats outside the pool bar and down by the sun beds had some nasty bites from them so couldn’t relax there, there was even a locus on the seat eating them, don’t know why these areas are not sprayed

As non-smokers you are forced to sit or walk through clouds of smoke at the pool or on the terrace outside the lobby

Review of our stay as a couple at Valamar Tamaris hotel mid september 2025. The hotel looks nice and the complex is situated in a beautiful green environment with lots of trees and nice flowers

The hotel has 2 pools: 1 activitypool focusing on children and 1 relaxpool focusing on people who love a more quite surrounding. During the first days of our stay there were many families with small children

You can check the beverages-book @ the bar. All drinks with * are included. We never made use of the snacktime, so we don't know what is served at that moment. The breakfast was very complete

Local drinks are free of charge which include softdrinks, beer, wine and some cocktails. For example: a "jeger" is included but if you want an original Jägermeister you have to pay

Lots to do and fantastic food/drink. Kids club is adequate and there are other kid activities in the evening. Surprised that everything else costs extra. The inflatable on water, sunbeds/umbrellas, paddle boards, etc

The hotel amenities and breakfast dining were great. Bedrooms and housekeeping spot on. Lots of activities if you wanted them but discreetly offered. Location good. Pool and beach areas fabulous with plenty of towels.

This hotel is especially good. It costs more than 3,000 yuan a night in peak season, which is perfect for a vacation. There is a large swimming pool and beach right across the street

Among this group of hotels, Eden Hotel is a hotel with a more obvious business nature, not a special resort style; but its advantages are also obvious, that is, the cost performance is very high

Beautiful experiencia! Lovely hotel and surroundings. Perfectly located. Just by the beach and a walking distance (by a promenade) to the center of the City.

The breakfast is particularly good, rich and delicious. It only takes a few minutes to drive to the old town. It is suitable to stay for several nights

The breakfast is a little weak, after all, it feels like a business hotel, but the cost performance is too good, it is worth a 5-star recommendation

The super beautiful infinity pool can directly see the sea. There are little wind and waves here, very calm. The facilities in the hotel are great, the scenery is very beautiful, suitable for lying down and sunbathing

Service was top of the line, food fantastic and location to dream for. Only negative was the people taking sunbeds and not being there. Some took beds both in the sun and in shadow, but only used one spot

Beautiful relaxing hotel. Car is handy to have to drive into town or see other towns in the area. Excellent pool/beach area lots of areas to sit and eat.

All restaurants are good and we had an excellent dinner at their upscale restaurant Sophia which had an incredible view of the ocean from the outside deck. Fantastic property I would definitely stay there again

Down side entertainment not good. Staff in bar area rude at times Get up early if you want a pool chair, people go down before 7am to put towels on these then don’t use them till late afternoon we found

I like everything, food, people, pool, animation fifty, restaurant , all inclusive is super. My children realy like it very much and we will come again

We highly recommend. Everyone was satisfied. Perfect rest for everyone. Everyone will find something for themselves. Lots of animations, great animators. We will definitely come back.

The hotel was second to none ! Food was enjoyable even had fries on our holiday which was nice room was kept clean, very clean hotel, all the staff were very friendly

Only gripe I had was we expected a sea view with our balcony but had carpark view everything else was spot on !

Were given rooms overlooking car park which we thought was as annoying but turned out a bonus as did not hear bad singing from entertainment Would we go back, not to this hotel but definitely return to Croatia

Hotel is asking for refreshments as all the facilities are used for many years now and grade for that part alone wouldn't be the best. But hotel has what's the most important, people at work that are amazing team

Animation team, reception, everyone else, super friendly and attentive, especially with our little boy

We couldn't go swimming because it was too windy, but we had a good time. I can't forget the seagulls floating on the outdoor pool.

The best location for family vacation. The breakfast was the best part of my day as a pregnant lady. The cook Branka was so nice and she always made eggs for me over the line

They even made us a breakfast box to take away on an early morning start. Indoor pool and sauna were clean and very nice. Checked out the gym but didn’t use it, equipment looked everything you could need

Only shame was that the al la carte poolside restaurant didnt stay open til 9pm as stated meaning one evening we found it difficult to find somewhere to eat

The poolside restaurant has seats outside and in shade, it’s open and looks very modern, menu is good for lunch and snacks, pizzas are great and also the pasta

A big hotel but with some great facilities such as 3 pools spa and breakfast included. Quiet location with easy 10 minute bus link to the town. Amazing views and lovely weather

Really great area to bade yourself for a stay in Dubrovnik. Babin Kuk is mainly made up of resort hotels, including the Valamar group which meant you could use the loungers on the beach at the nearby President hotel

The kids’ facilities were a highlight. The entertainment team and the playroom staff were especially attentive, engaged, and kind, creating a great environment for children throughout the day

Not many people, nice cosy seaside space, lots of towels, trees and a very high quality equipment! It has everything you might need. It is large yet somehow feels small and cosy and very very private

Pool area was quite and we enjoyed the cooler saltwater instead of chlorine water

The radiator in the bathroom is not working, so where to dry the swimming trunks after swimming in the indoor pool? The staff is very friendly and kind, so please renovate a bit and give them a nicer place to work

Beach: convenient, a stone's throw away, clear sea and pebble-free areas, with sand. Cemented area with lots of sunbeds and umbrellas. You just have to rush to grab them. There needs to be more control from the workers

Well-kept structure, in a wonderful setting! Sea in front, a wonderful pine forest with a walkable path that leads to Umag, with a train available, which passes by marinas, villas, other resorts

However the highlight of my stay has been always the SPA in particular Sandra who evertime manages to make me feel like a new born baby🫶🌺 she is not only professional and Knowles but also her kindness and beautiful smile even from behind her mask makes my treatment special

Thank you dear Sandra 🌺♥️ My only discontent is maintenance and menu choices, I would just like to highlight that every room we stayed in needs few maintenance issue also the bathroom lock in the spa that was not repaired for the past 3 years, as of the food menu it would be great to see new choices there

This was my favorite hotel on the trip. It's expensive for a reason, and I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance. The scenery and service were top-notch, and the location was superb.

I consider Grand park home away from home, every one from reception, concierge, all the F&B outlets staff, pool attendants and all the spa staff knows us and constantly treat us with love and professionalism making our stay joyful and memorable

From our room with its own private plunge pool, overlooking the Old Town, the rooftop pools and the the beautiful promenade with the yacht club, to the amazing culinary experiences at the restaurants, this is a place and a stay we won't forget! The hotel even has its own shuttle boats to bring you to their private beach on a nearby island! The staff was wonderful, and we got a personal introduction...

Lucija, a waitress at the poolside, deserves special mention as she was always extremely helpful and sunny as the weather! We will definitely be back

The hotelroom was great, same floor as reception. The staff were very accommodating and friendly. When we asked for water cattle, the staff provided immediately. Hotel situated right at the beach, perfect for long walks

Hotel Olympia hosted the best New Year’s celebration this year! The accommodation was excellent, the room was perfectly clean and well equipped

The organization and service were outstanding, with an amazing variety of food and drinks

We were part of a group of 48 but we weren’t seated in a specific area so we never got a chance to break the ice properly. Hotel is on the (stony) beach, has fabulous extensive pools and seating areas

Drinks were very expensive, 9 euro for a miserable glass of not very palatable white wine and a scandalous 11 euro for Bacardi and coke! Food offering was buffet style, very good range of options but you needed to be early as they didn’t replenish much! This meant early dinner at 7 but too expensive to spend the evening in the bathroom

We spent a week here on half board. We paid the extra for a sea view which was great, shame the bed collapsed the first night and the bedroom chair was filthy. We got changed/an upgrade to a 1 bed suite
