Reviews

The sound insulation is very poor. Travelers staying in the adjacent room can often be heard talking, even those speaking in the hallway. 😖
Since it is a shared toilet, the level of hygiene is relatively poor. Bring a key and lock your room before each use of the shared toilet. This aspect is really troublesome😖
There are free towels. Towels were taken from the ground floor reception. The dissatisfaction was that the towels were even placed on top of the microwave next to the table at the reception desk. Quite unhygienic. Sometimes, hotel reception staff are annoying. When getting a towel, it will ask how many times it was taken! ?
Sometimes, a guest struggles to try to open the door to other rooms. Staying in this Hostel, really need to be especially careful of the guests, take good care of your belongings.
Hostal is more conveniently located nearby. There are MTR stations, supermarkets nearby. In addition, Hostel is located in a Latin American community. Lots of Latin Americans nearby. It feels a bit complicated at night.
Hostel has no elevator, only stairs. It was super hard dragging a big luggage up and down the stairs.
I felt comfortable in the room, the breakfast was good. I found the breakfast rooms very inviting and quaintly cozy. I was very impressed by the idea of planting a tree instead of cleaning the rooms.
In my opinion, only small things could be improved:
1) some kind of tangible update on whether a tree was actually planted to compensate for the saved room cleaning
2) at breakfast, two different employees asked the question twice within 20 minutes: "Can I disturb you and ask for your room number?"
Can be optimized: don't apologize, just ask for the room number. Personal sensitivities are disruptive.
3) The same with the parking ticket: once the 24-hour parking ticket didn't work and I had to exchange it. Apologies were asked many times. Can be optimized: instead of asking for a "needy" apology, it's better to invite people directly to a benefit of the hotel: e.g. "please allow yourself a free coffee for the inconvenience" or something similar. That makes you feel better.
4) the signs or directions are not very clear from the underground car park to reception. Confusion about how to get there is not very pleasant.
What I really liked was the warmth and cordiality of Konrad and Anita and the trainee. And of the staff at the café. Very warm, very accommodating, very polite.
Thank you.
I will be happy to be your guest again.

Have amazing coffee for free
Restaurant was closed due to lack of staff and the bar was only open occasionally.
All of the above, added to the internet you have to pay for it, not really what I would recommend to anyone, not even wifi.... at least would help somewhat if their staff were a bit more friendly.
