Hotel Astor München in Munchen

Dangerous Area, directly opposite of a strip club!! Every day, there was fighting, bottles flying, police and screaming in front of my window. Stay away from this hotel. I asked for a room change to the other side of the hotel, so I would not hear the noise. The new room ended up being disgusting, because the previous guest had smoked in there, leaving a horrible smell. Stay away from this hotel! When complaining to staff, they just explained how dangerous the area is and offered nothing to help. The rooms were clean. Bathrooms were modern. Small but well organized room.

Sketchy area, very noisy room if you get one facing the street.

Otherwise room was ok - bed fine, cleanliness fine (except toilet that looked like it was used when i first entered the room, with some yellow liquid inside), but the area and vibes when entering the building were just unpleasant.

If you’re travelling on a budget it’s ok - if you are on a business trip, I’d go somewhere else to get a better sleep.

This should be listed as a motel, NOT a hotel. The room was outrageously overpriced, on the 6th floor which we had to walk to, there is no parking other than a shared alleyway which is almost impossible to get in and out of. Because we had to park in an alleyway, the clerk asked for our keys in case the car had to be moved, and later told us that she doesn't know how to drive. Good thing we said no. The room was dirty with hair from previous guests lying about, and the cleaning staff took food that we had left in our room. The hotel itself is located in a very seedy part of Munich, surrounded by strip joints, gambling dens and dodgy bars. People were smoking in either the hallway or adjacent rooms and the smell was wafting into ours. Lastly, we made a small error in our flight booking and had to change the dates of our hotel stay. Every other hotel we stayed at while we were in Germany readily agreed and adjusted the dates. This hotel was adamant that they would not adjust the dates, so we had paid for a night we did not need which screwed up our travel plans. If it were possible to give this location a rating more negative than "Terrible" I would. There is nothing good that can be said about this hotel!
