It was a ok hotel for us. Room was ok. Location is little outside from main markets.

The room was very clean but the entrance was a bit dirty.

The environment is comfortable, and I am very satisfied.

It is a 15 minute walk from U/S Bran, but shopping is very convenient with several shopping malls nearby including Primark/bikin & the largest KaDeWe in Germany. But early October has been hot from the central air conditioning on the heating to sleep .... Fortunately, the hotel provides fans and open the windows after it can be, the room has enough space to open all 2 large suitcases and 2 small suitcases

The hand soap and shower gel were both unusable because they were broken and wouldn't dispense. The carpet on the floor was quite dirty, but everything else was fine.

It's a fine place the location is great you have everything around such as transportation, central city center and many fancy shops and supermarket I recommend specially because of the location of the hotel.

I wouldn't book again in this place even if they would pay me to. You can hear crystal clear the other rooms, the heating is bad and don't even think about using the Wi-Fi. It just doesn't worth it

Great location and affordable rooms which are spacious and nicely decorated. The bar in the courtyard was lively on Saturday night and a nice place to get a drink but you can't hear the noise when you're in your room. The room included a Nespresso machine which produced hot water too but you did have to pay for additional coffee pods etc.

Beautiful hotel with poor service. I asked for a bottle opener at the reception, but they told me to bring the drinks down, because they couldn't give the opener to me. There is no refrigerator in the room.

I had such a wonderful stay at the Hotel AMO. The location was fantastic. This hotel is great overall. The room is not huge, but enough space for someone like me who travels with minimal stuff. The bathroom is updated and functional. I wish the room had a fridge. Great hotel overall, with lots of coffee shops nearby! The rooms are beautiful, but, the AC in our room did not work and we had trouble sleeping. Even with the windows open, it was uncomfortably hot in the room.

The reception and service were excellent and friendly, the location was lovely, and the room was quiet and clean. It was well-equipped, and I immediately felt at home and very comfortable. Great location if you want to explore east berlin and all of it’s cool cafe’s and urban areas. Private rooms are fine. Little noisy at night but no big issues.

A decent hostel that's located near many interesting nightlife locations. Very firm mattresses unfortunately, but sufficiently clean. USB chargers at every bed, although actual power sockets would have been better.

This is a very big hostel with hundreds of beds, though it did not feel cramped or loud. I had a quiet stay.   I stayed for 2 nights in a mixed dorm with three bunk beds and en-suite. The toilet and shower are separate which makes use easier. The staff were great and the amenities were nice, plus a plug in the wall style fan in the room for an american like me was awesome. My only real complaint was the shower head definitely needs to be cleaned and why are the toilet seats so small haha.

The personnel is very friendly and hotel is very clean and comfortable. The location is kind of remote and considering the price of about 120 euros per night it’s a bit expensive for a hotel without breakfast option. Checkout time is at 11 am, if I pay so much I expect international checkout time at 12 am. But in general it’s a hotel well maintained!

Large and practically furnished rooms. Very friendly and courteous service. I had problems with the small room safe and was helped immediately. The tram stop is not far away and three supermarkets are within easy walking distance. Highly recommended for guests who have business in the Marzahn/Lichtenberg/Hellersdorf area or who simply want to enjoy the nearby “Gardens of the World”.

Even though my German is limited, I was made to feel welcome. The rooms were clean and spacious with a nice large bath. Very nice independent hotel. Convenient location with a subway station and Straßenbahn stops right on your doorstep. Slept very well, although because it is on a busy intersection it can be quite loud at night.

The location is great, room was big and comfortable but no AC. TV not really satisfying most of it in German. Really an amazing place especially for the great people that works their. We couldn't go back home and they did everything to support us and let us feel at home as possible. A good hotel with nice facilities. The reception staff were quite friendly and provided all the amenities. Just be careful of the soft beds. If you are not used to sleeping on beds and pillows which sink as soon as you get on them, after a night here, be sure to get a back pain :/

Nice experience in this hotel, even if only for one night. The room was quite wide, in particular the bathroom area: really comfortable and useful. Very good connection to the airport. Clean and nice rooms. If you're willing to pay, you can get a great view over the Spree river from your room. Didn't eat there, since around there are tons of good and cheap restaurants.

My husband and I are very happy with our stay and will definitely choose the same hotel when we visit Berlin again. Very quick and convenient transport to central points. We booked one night at the patio suite to celebrate our anniversary, and we find the experience rather underwhelming. This design hotel could have had many ways to stand out but just misses quite some points. An awesome location to explore Berlin from. Very clean and tidy hotel, we felt comfortable during our stay there. Had a small view too, which was awesome! Bathroom ventilation was a small, but manageable, issue. Great to have space for luggage, recommend looking above the smallest size room if staying for more than two nights (we’re so glad we did)!

Perfect location for visiting Berlin and few minutes from train station to airport. Room lighting was a bit dark but apartment was perfect for family of four. A bit of noise from neighbors but not really from outside so we had a great night sleep. Lovely views from the rooftop. Highly recommend!

We had a two bedroom apartment with kitchenette. The apartment had character and was clean, however if you are planning on cooking, the kitchenette was very small with minimal implements. The latch to the window was broken, so we were very concerned about setting the smoke alarm off. It was very noisy during the night and the beds were very firm. We did not opt in for the breakfast as it was 19 euro...

The elevator broke while we were staying on the sixth floor. We asked for assistance with our large luggage and they refused. By sheer coincidence a cleaning lady saw us and helped on the last floor when we were checking out. Otherwise nice facility and good for a place with a group.

We really loved the stay! The service at the reception is really helpful and when we had a problem with noisy neighbors they went and solved it right away. A very lovely stay at the Meninger Alexanderplatz. We had a room for 4, convenient and clean, staff is super nice and helpful and the hostel is well located (metro station is really right in front of it). Kitchen is quite small so we recommande to grab something outside :) Thank you all for this amazing time!

Clean rooms, great staff and a low key, calm bar area. You could socialize, or just hang out quietly at a table. The price was great, the location was good (as long as you don’t mind walking a bit) and above all it felt safe. A special shout out to Gregory, Gloria, Camila and the guy with the shaved head and glasses whose name I forgot. They were all very helpful.

Honestly, it’s a really cool hostel for students. Great for the price n they have got almost every amenity. The staff were really nice, polite n helpful. Breakfast was great and rooms were a little small but cannot complain. Bathrooms are decent and room service was timely. Totally worth the price 😃 also it’s like 10-15 minutes walk from Alexanderplatz TV tower so the location was cool too.

It's a good hotel with a nice and polite staff. Actually I stay there with 4 of my friends in a 5 person room and we had a amazing view. It was for sure a little small but still a good room. It's also so central - just 5 min from Alexanderplatz so you can reach everything very good and fast.

The hotel itself was really nice and the reception staff always polite. I found one or two of the breakfast staff a little rude at times. We found the room to be quite small with little space to put general things out. One thing that was missing was tea and coffee making facilities, I can’t remember when I was in a hotel without this. All in all, though, it was a comfortable stay.

It was further away from central Berlin than I would’ve liked but transport is very easy so that doesn’t impact my review. Im a tough critic too. I would absolutely stay there again.

Stayed 5 nights. Hotel in quiet street currently without through traffic as building work going on at the end of the road. Close to bus stop for 200 - we walked from main station through Tiergarden which took 45 minutes! Very close to Tiergarden (we heard nightingales) , 10 minutes from zoo. Room had microwave, kettle, fridge and stove, ask at reception if you needs plates or pots etc.. Reception closes...

Worth every penny. Strategically located, room is newly renovated, breakfast is good,specially the coffee.

Good hotel. Set back from the road and one stop from the zoo and Tiergarten. The hotel is clean. Cleaning every day. Continental breakfast. The staff helped, explained how to get where. We arrived ahead of check-in time and there were no problems. Not expensive. I can recommend it.

I had the pleasure of staying at the yard for 10 days this past July. From check in to check out, the service was friendly and effecient. I stayed in large room and the room was spacious, cool, and had a great shower. The location was ideal for our purposes, it was a nice walk to the transit station and places of interest in Kreuzberg. Honestly, the hotel's location is terrible; it feels quite out of the way. It was a bit of a stopover before heading somewhere else the next day, but you get what you pay for, like a dorm from a long time ago.

Although the location itself may not look good, there is only one tram line to Berlin Central Station on the M8, so it is easy to move around with a suitcase. However, you need to transfer to get to the main tourist spots, so be careful.

Super hotel fulfills the most important things and gives a pleasant stay

I was little bit scared by all the bad reviews here , but at the end our stay was fine. Hot water, clean rooms, nice staff… nice bistro few meters away with delicious kebab… hotel is quite old without elevator… but beside that it was price worthy

The staff were helpful in extending our check out even without us asking. The kitchenette in the room was great! We could make simple meals when we wanted or were too tired to go out. The cookies at the reception were fantastic: too bad they were only available for a limited time every day.

Great place to stay when visiting Berlin. Within walking distance to the center of the city…. About a mile to 11/2 miles depending on where you are going.  The staff are very friendly and helpful.  They also have a great breakfast buffet with very attentive staff.   I’ll definitely recommend this place.  And wouldn’t mind staying there again on my next visit to Berlin.

The location is fantastic, very close to Checkpoint Charlie with convenient access to the subway. The front desk staff were wonderful, smiling warmly and patiently speaking German with my child.

I stayed at The Garner for two nightsand had a relaxing, enjoyable experience overall. The hotel is situated right by everything . Staff were warm and professional, and the vibe throughout the property was calm and upscale. Some cons i should mentioned for management to look out for.
