I had a wonderful stay. The service was fantastic, and the breakfast was excellent! The location is convenient for accessing the town. I highly recommend this place.

The biggest advantage is that the hotel bathroom window opens wide. It is not far from tourist attractions such as the Wittenberg Castle Church, and is an overall decent hotel. When using the parking lot, it is very inconvenient to push and pull the heavy, sooty iron bar and lock it.

I am in the middle of my stay at this hotel-pension, and I have been favorably impressed with everything so far. The rooms are spotless, plenty of hot water in the showers, decent beds, and in a quiet area of town. It’s a family operated hotel that makes a person feel comfortable with staying there. Nothing fancy as in big city chain hotels, but exactly what I wanted.

Very pleasant hotel, friendly staff, good food. We had a take-away lunch pack which was extremely good value. Recommended.

Lovely little place to stay when you are visiting Wittenberg. Close to the centre of town, yet very quit and peacefull. The only downsides are no balconies nor parking spaces. Parking in town is cheap, though.

A warm, kind, and enthusiastic welcome from the front desk when we arrived around 9pm. Rooms are spotless. Breakfast is European perfect. A wide selection without running to an overwhelming excess. Breakfast area is light and bright with huge windows. Outside courtyard looks inviting. Easy on-site parking.

I spent a week for a business trip. It is pretty close the island. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are comfy. You have to pay extra fee for a parking slot per day.

Equidistant walking from the upper train station to the island. Modern facility and fixtures. No AC and limited fans. We found ourselves having to be assertive to get average services. Once assertively prompted and dismissing their initial excuses, they did provide the services. An example would be laundry. Think more one or two star, not true three star experience. Fantastic place, walking distance to the island with jogging path along the lake. I called to say that we arrive late and the lady at the reception was extremely outgoing, friendly, helpful. She booked us a restaurant where we could eat late in the evening. On the checkout day we could leave the car without extra cost for 2 hours longer just to explore the island. That was a nice bonus! The personal was really friendly and always serviable. The room was very beautiful, clean, fully equiped, warm. Every day came cleaning personal. The view ist splendid. A great getaway stay for some quiet in the mountain forest. It was full of snow and fog when we stayed there but even then, we could see that it would be beautiful in summer. The guesthouse is in a very quiet location. The shower, kitchen, and living room are shared by all the guests. The only possible criticism is that conversations from the room can easily be heard from outside, even when spoken quietly.

I have really enjoyed staying here. Had a small and cosy private room on the 2nd floor. It was clean and very warm. On the 1st floor there is a spatious kitchen with all one need to roast, boil or bake. Nice living room nearby. The Ms. Doemens was really nice and polite.

Location and rooms are amazing for the price, great location just a few minutes from the metro, with lots of good restaurants nearby. A light in our room wasn't working, and one glass fixture was broken. Employees were all super friendly and accomodating!!

Very good location two minutes walk from the metro. There are shops and cafes around that are open late. the hotel is very clean and tidy, I especially liked that the bathroom is in very good condition. The room is warm and cozy. I was very pleased with the sweets at the reception 😋 Since we arrived in the city early, our luggage was kindly stored in the luggage room until our check-in time.

The staff are nice, the rooms clean, though utterly unremarkable. Breakfasts are great value for money. The neighborhood seems unpleasant at night, but is actually fine. Quite busy. There's an underground station very close and a great pizza place two blocks over. The main issues are: no lift and nowhere to sit really (rooms are small, no common spaces) - it's a place to sleep, not spend time.

Great hotel. The rooms were quite modern and clean, the staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. We had a room at the back of the hotel, which looked out over a courtyard and we did not have any disturbances from outside noises (not from the courtyard nor from any road).

Gasthof Schwarz offers a truly Bavarian dining experience, from the rustic interior to the hearty menu. During dinner, we tried the Hohenwarter Teufelstoast – it was decent, though not a standout. Meh Seems to be a “long term” stay place. The shared bathroom, shower, and kitchen was a bit uncomfortable, but manageable. Clean enough, but you’re really getting what you pay for here.

Stayed with a tent and our two bikes. Everything looks great and the toilet and shower facilities are modern and clean. Location close to the city and 5 min cycle to groceries. At 39 euros a night for two people, it is a little bit on the expensive side for a stay with a small tent.

Very clean site with the best facilities I've seen on a site! Pitches are tight for bigger vans but a nice easy 40 minute walk in to the beautiful town centre is a must do!

Good place to spend a night. The sanitary building seemed quite new and it was very clean. One of the better showers I have had in a camping park. The pitches are small and it was quite crowded when we were there.

Excellent place to stay. Very good food. Room was adequate. Staff was very friendly and helpful. the room was a bit warm when we got there. We requested a fan which was delivered to our room in less than 10 minutes. Very nice location. Enjpyed our stay very much.

Very good food with a focus on wild animals from the forest. It's all very tasty and juicy. Really nothing to complain about. Defintly something you should give it a try when being around in the area.

We had lunch with the family and were served very nicely and treated in a friendly manner! The fireplace makes it look nice and cozy and the restaurant is pretty quaint. Simply class. The food was excellent, both dinner and breakfast. Very lovingly decorated and everything set up at the table. Only to recommend. The rooms are big and the bathrooms are newly made. The only thing that could be improved is the mattresses on the beds.

Room 27 for 2 nights. Weather was very warm the first night and with no breeze and no ventilator in the room I could not sleep.The bed quilt provided was more for winter use than summer. Clean big room, great breakfast for a few Euro's, sauna with showers and relax area just 6 euro for 4 hours per person and great location with nice view and close to the lakes in the Eiffel. All good!

Lovely accommodation in a beautiful area though we were on foot backpacking and unfortunately there was no evening food available so we didn’t eat as it was a walk back into town. Nice area to explore either walking or cycling and was very close to walk to the ferry on Rursee to go on to Rurburg.

We absolutely loved our stay here. The sauna was amazing and the bedrooms were quiet and comfortable. We especially loved the buffet breakfast and dining area. I had some work in the area so I booked this hotel for my work trip. I think most of the bad reviews are due to the bookings of rooms where the bathroom is shared. What a gem. The rooms are all individualised and quirky from a time gone by. Clean and comfortable. Substantial breakfasts. It’s out of the centre but a few minutes to good S1 line. The area is exquisite - lots of trees, beautiful old houses and plenty of shops. The other face of Berlin - calm and green. It’s budget accommodation but charming and great value for money.

The place is ok for a B&B. The lady in reception was very helpful. The room is spacious and clean. No private car park but you can easily park along the street. No elevator so it's not good if you have a lot of luggages. Breakfast is just ok - continental only no cooked food.

A very cozy inn, down at the back entrance I was greeted by such a pleasant scent, I found it very "clean". Thank you for the friendly and helpful service. We were able to store our paddling gear in the garage until we left. Our room was pleasantly quiet overlooking the river. We slept very well with the window open. (mosquito screen). The breakfast buffet was typical for a hotel of this class: sufficient and good. We'd love to come back.

The hotel was very basic which included both the accommodation and breakfast. Staff were friendly. Hotel is right next to Augsberger underground station which is very handy to get around. Avoid taxis if possible. 20 euro to drive 4km and then they expect tips as well. It is worth getting the 24 hour underground passes if you are not big walkers. The city is huge so the underground system is very recommended...

The rooms are very very small and not what was shown in the image during booking, staff is great and friendly, breakfast is ok. They should add some lights at the entrance outside as when I reached the hotel around 7 pm I thought the hotel is closed as there is no light on the entrance.

My second stay here! Many of the simple rooms overlook a charming courtyard. The staff are very attentive and efficient - the breakfast which is generally included in the room price is excellent. If you want a quiet traditional hotel in a terrific location, Hotel-Pension Bernstein is WELL worth considering!
