Cleanliness: Cleaned daily, well-maintained!
Environment: Not far from the city center, convenient with bus and subway access downstairs, and a nearby park with beautiful autumn scenery!
Service: Abundant breakfast, especially the delicious bread! When we checked out, the receptionist was exchanging apples for fresh ones, giving each of us one and a bottle of water. Such thoughtful service, a big thumbs up! 👍
We were greeted by a very passive aggressive staff, and this did not change throughout our stay. We did not feel welcome at all. Didn’t understand English too well, and we had to explain stuff over and over again, and when they understood us they just acted rude.
Hotel room:
Didn’t smell, but had bad air quality even with the window open and air conditioning on. There were mold in the shower, which seems like it was just painted over? We found a moldy apple in the ice bucket and mold in the kettle. The interior of the room had scratches and marks on the walls and chairs.
We did not order breakfast or any food from the hotel so I can’t comment on that.
Overall experience: Not great… Again we did not feel welcome at all. We won’t be back for another time
Later on they just abologies and opened windows and bring some small fan into room to "replace" AC.
There were 26C+ temp outside on daytime and night temps were also 20C plus so the room was too hot to sleep properly.
Still they sell rooms with air-condition and basically cheat people to get the full price.
No compensation of missing AC means no recommendations neither.
This hotel should not carry the name of Marriot in any means.
At least breakfast was good and parking space allows to park also 2.4m tall cars(vans).
It was quite easy to move to city with U77. Later at night trains were completely full so uber was the only choise.
Dūsseldorf itself was nice and we will come back, but most likely to some other hotel.
I was very satisfied with everything, the only thing I noticed is that the receptionist are a bit slow and multitasking all the time (eg. on the phone)
