I come here 2 or 3 times a year and the hotel isn't beautiful but the rooms are big, the bed comfortable and the breakfast great.

No frills, but clean with a very accommodating staff. Very good value and convenient location in Solingen.

Affordable price, spacious rooms, good internet and close to public transport. Reception and personal were very helpful and kind. Also multilingual. Something definitely to consider!

An average stay where they don't easily trust their customers. You want a kettle, you need to deposit 20 Euros. You want an umbrella, deposit your room keys.. You have checked in, pay in full for the duration before the room keys are allocated..

Hotell with Sverre standard om the room recept the shower wich in nu room Only had a curtain and sås kind of narrow with things monter om the Wall such as soap schampo hand railing. Personal and breakfast on the other hand was really god än actually deserves 5 Stars

The hotel is centrally located in Dortmund, a perfect base for the Christmas market, and includes a generous breakfast. The rooms are spotless. The wellness facilities are a nice bonus. We will definitely be back.

I had an apartment with a kitchenette for 1 week at the Esplanade. Since I didn't have a car, it was convenient--only about 3 blocks from the Hauptbahnhof and a couple of blocks from the central pedestrian zone. I stayed here 5 years ago and had a great experience. This time was not so good because work was being conducted on the roof above my room to install solar panels. I changed rooms but the crane still started early in the morning so woke me up early. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Maria on the bar was extremely nice and mixed a great gin and tonic. Silverfish in the bathroom, it wasn't the cleanest - shabby carpeting and dirt marks around one of the wall paintings. While it was nice to have a large room and balcony, with no kitchen utensils (you have to ask front desk for them) and "green" housekeeping (i.e. they don't want to pay for housekeepers or for new toilet rolls/soap refills) I don't think it justifies the price. Modern room with almost all of the amenities you would expect -- refrigerator, TV, kettle -- but there is no AC so be aware. The bathroom was roomy, with a tub/shower (but watch your step getting in). For me this was a convenient location to walk through the old parts of the city and it's narrow, cobblestone roads.

I have been to this hotel many times, since it is the base for an event that happens annually. But I have never stayed at the hotel until this year, I managed to book early before it filled up this time. The rooms are luxurious and spacious, you can swing two cats at the same time no problem. We stayed at the Fire & Ice Hotel during the Easter holidays in occasion of a family trip to Duesseldorf. We had booked a so called "Tree chalet", all very nice and clean. Staff extremely friendly and prepared. We would definitely go back there. :)

The hotel staff works hard around the clock to keep things clean. The breakfast buffet was always fully stocked and really clean. I stayed here for a week and really enjoyed it.

When you need somewhere to stay in the Gütersloh area I would highly recommend Holiday Inn. Value for money and service is very good.

The standard room we were in was quite dirty. Hair in the bathroom drain. Breakfast buffet was amazing though. Came here in 2018 and stayed in a junior suite that time and the room was super clean. So I was a bit disappointed.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Ibis Styles Hotel in Gelsenkirchen while we were in town to watch the HSV match — and it turned out to be a great choice for the trip. The location is super convenient, right across from the main train station, so getting to the stadium and around the city was a breeze.

One request: Better bread for breakfast. The current bread has no German quality (too soft). It's a good hotel in a convenient location. A great view and little extras were much appreciated. We were satisfied with the service we've been given. We stayed at room 503 in the annex, which was noisy at night due to the neighbour and had the tiniest shower. The room really felt 3 stars, not 4. The hotel is far away from the city and its restaurant had a limited offer.

A very quaint, old-world, classy property with a nice breakfast. Our family suite was spacious and comfortable, perfect for traveling with kids. The only downside was the WiFi - the signal was either very weak or didn’t work at all. Otherwise, a pleasant and peaceful stay.

We just stayed overnight as we were travelling by car from Paris to Stockholm. The hotel was very comfortable and the surroundings are fantastic. A very good breakfast - one of the best I've had. My daughter and family have also booked Parkhotel Hohenfeld in Munster when they travel to Sweden.

The swimming pool is more than disappointing. The pictures give the impression of a much larger pool. The whole area is very outdated. We were accommodated in an annex and therefore had to change in the pool area. Unfortunately, there are no lockers for our clothes. Unacceptable for a 4-star hotel.
