During our stay there was a taxi strike in Athens, and the hotel stepped in to secure transportation for us both to the hotel and to the airport. It removed what could have been a major stress point

Transportation from the airport is very simple via the M3 metro line (you can get off at Syntagma and walk, or transfer to the M2 Red Line, get off at the Acropolis station, and reach the hotel with a 1

It is only 150 meters from the entrance of the Acropolis and the Acropolis Museum, and you can easily reach Plaka, Monastiraki, Psiri, and Syntagma with a pleasant walk

The staff are extremely polite and helpful. We would especially like to thank Anna and (if I remember correctly, apologies if I’m mistaken) Ares, who work in the breakfast area

We had an excellent stay at the Alva Hotel! While the location is in a busy area (don’t be put off by the traffic or the graffiti, it is Athens after all), the hotel is also only a few steps away from the metro station, a main street, and many food options

My stay at Alba Athens Hotel was excellent. The room was exceptionally spacious, air-conditioned, and very clean. It also had a safe and a fridge stocked with drinks

Day one, we walked all the way to the otherside which is about 2 miles each way. Day 2, took metro (10 min from hotel to the tourist area of Athens. Even had a poloce inquire if anybody was bothering us

A fun enjoyable walk to near by places like restaurants and shops. Would definitely come back to here again. Definitely will also recommend to anyone who comes to visit. The shuttle service was great

Clean room, quiet, very friendly staff, and affordable. Spent 2 nights there, they allowed us early check in rather than leaving our bags and were helpful throughout the stay

The bathroom was spotless, and the towels were replaced daily. The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the breakfast was delicious. I highly recommend this hotel

The Central Hotel is situated in a prime location, where you are walking distance to fantastic restaurants, great shops, and massive historic sites

I booked a single room, but they provided two beds pushed together, so it couldn't be used as a double bed. Otherwise, it was alright. The location is fantastic; everything is within walking distance.

Everything was perfect, excellent parking possibilities in such a central location.

The hotel is centrally located and about 5-10 minute walk to all of the Athens sites. We felt safe walking the area at all hours. The inside was nice with different areas to sit and relax

The rooms were very comfortable; in my case, I had a bathtub, and they left bath foam with natural products in the bathroom. The hotel's location is strategic. Perhaps the price seems a bit high, but it's truly worth it!

All the personal in the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very rich and healthy. I liked especially the Greek olives, the Greek salad and the delicious Greek yogurt with honey

We had a one-bed suite which was lovely. Our friends had 2 x double rooms - all clean and well furnished but one room had nowhere to hang clothes.

Communication was generally good - although I received messages via WhatsApp from two separate business accounts which was a bit confusing especially when they seemed to have different checkout dates - one WhatsApp was hotel specific and the other seemed to be from a more central account as maybe they operate several hotels?? This meant slightly more leg work for me and I wonder if some improved coordination...

Easy self check in, very responsive. Used their transport to airport which was easy and affordable. Authentic neighbourhood with lots of restaurants, cafes and bars. walkable to museum and acropolis

Great place to stay for a couple of days in Athens. In a great spot with lots of nice places to eat, drink and see nearby. We were upgraded which was super!

One message referenced a video to locate the hotel, but there was no obvious link to a video that I received across either account. The hotel was still easily found on google maps that said

If you’re girl traveling alone - I wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s closed to center, but the district is considered to be bad cause of immigrants and dirt

Some of them were respectful and other spoke loudly on the phone at 7 am, another one was unpacking his suitcase all night, so your neighbors are really random

Also, there’re no lockers for suitcase - your either leave it next to bed or in locker room which is not safe as the staff says. There’s computer, chess, pool, kitchen (including fridge, cutleries)

If you don’t like when weird dudes stare at you while you walk around, then its better to find another place😅 There were only guys in my shared room

My stay at The Hawks was truly wonderful and heartwarming! I absolutely loved my room—it was cozy, spotless, and the service was excellent. The entire hostel was very clean and well-maintained

I stayed for 2 nights and realized that it’s better to move to a regular hotel in better district🙈

Convenient for the railway station and within easy walking distance from the centre of the city. Clean room and bathroom. Staff were helpful and a good breakfast in the morning.

Hotel was great overall, especially for that price. I had an issue at first because they couldn't confirm that my booking was paid, only after Trip.com interfered they got it, but other than that it was all good.

A two minute walk from Athens (Larissa) station means you can get a train or metro from the airport, and when you're here it's just over a mile walk (or short metro ride) to the attractions of central Athens

It's not in the most glamorous area of town and won't suit people looking for a 5* - although every single staff member we dealt with was exceptional and gave us 5* service - but if you're looking for a great value, convenient and comfortable stay in Athens then you'll struggle to do better

Exceptionally comfortable bed, the two bed suite was spacious, the half board package was unbelievable value (particularly with the stellar views from the top floor restaurant) and the location was very convenient

I’m planning to be visiting Athens again soon and will definitely book the same accommodation. The hotel staff was extremely kind. I can’t speak Greek, unfortunately, but their English was impeccable and I had no issues!

The breakfast is included and offers both English and continental options. The hotel also offers a luggage storage service, which is very practical. The main highlight was the rooftop with a great view of the acropolis

It was very good and clean, but we were not there to spend time in the room! There is a roof bar that opens most evenings, but nice evening to head up there during the day to enjoy the sun and the view!

There is also an area behind the hotel in the lanes where you can stumble across quaint restaurants. The accommodation is not 5 star, but not advertised as so

Had a great time staying in this hotel whilst visiting Greece to watch Scotland. The hotel is in a bit of a quirky area and surrounded by interesting markets

Athens Center Square Hotel is a wonderful place to stay! It’s very well located, with clean and comfortable rooms of a good size. The beds are super cozy, and the lighting is excellent

Good, central, clean and cheap. Been there before. This time I stayed at the lower floors. Second floor. Much more noise from staff and guests this time. But total experience is ok for short stays.

The women who worked at nights was very helpful and told me to ask her if I needed to find anything and she’ll tell me where to go. The room itself was clean and came with all you need for the price I payed

It’s better to book a hostel than this hotel in the same price point. There is a smell of chemicals on the Hotel floors. The hotels next to this hotel are way way better, there are 3 4 of them in the same lane

Right outside the metro station, you'll find a shopping center featuring a charming rooftop cafe. It's an ideal spot to unwind with a coffee while enjoying a fantastic view, including the Acropolis in the distance

The hotel is central it’s only a 20 min walk to all the Athens highlights. It’s a great walk too! Lots of interesting shops! The Archeological museum is only a short walk from the hotel so well placed

I stayed in a single room on floor 4. The room was clean and had a window. There was a new fridge in the room that was fantastic and I was able to have ice cold drinks. The bathroom was small but had everything I needed

The room was cleaned every day and fresh towels and linens provided. There was enough room for all my bags, it was snug but very good for the price. I ate breakfast every morning. It was a really nice breakfast room

My adult daughter and I stayed here for 5 nights as a girls escape. The bathroom was really small and there’s no counter space in it. The location was close to the Metro and famous attractions

It was a very nice equipped apartment! The only problem is, at weekend the bar opposite the hotel, has live music! So take oropax with you. The breakfast was delivered in time and it was enough to start in the day

Be careful about coming back to late in the evening. The sidewalk/roads get pretty dark. If we stayed again, we hope we’d get a larger room

Everything about this hotel was amazing. Location, spacious room, huge shower, lift. Included breakfast was delicious with many choices. Servers in restaurant were so kind. Would recommend this hotel 100%.

From the balcony, a huge church is visible right nearby, all the sights are no more than 15 minutes away by free foot. The linen is snow-white, you can close the automatic blinds at night

The quality of the apartment was excellent. We have been in the same apartment in 2023. We can say that the quality has been maintained during this period

Flea markets and women's markets are within easy reach. There are also supermarkets nearby and all major attractions are within walking distance. Friends who prefer self-catering apartments can stay here

Despite being central, the neighborhood is fairly quiet at night. The room was modern, clean, and well-equipped with a comfortable bed, air conditioning, and a nice bathroom

While the area around Metaxourgeio is more urban and not as touristy, we felt safe and found several great local eateries within walking distance

Wi-Fi was fast and stable – a big plus for both work and travel needs. Some rooms come with small kitchenettes, which is great for longer stays

The breakfast served in the hotel was fresh, with a good variety of options including Greek pastries, fruit, and eggs

The staff was friendly and helpful, always available to assist with directions or tour recommendations

The building's structure was old, with many stairs, making it inconvenient to carry luggage. It's worth mentioning that I only slept for three or four hours. Breakfast closes at 11 AM, and I went down to eat at 10:47 AM

I explained that I had bought two breakfasts, and that not getting coffee wasn't because I hadn't tried to get it before breakfast closed, but because several people were ahead of me in line

I asked one of the stronger female servers to make me a cup at the bar, and she rudely told me I missed breakfast time and that I would have to pay for the other machine

I emphasized this point, and we argued back and forth for three or four rounds, attracting the attention of all the other breakfast guests

Later, his colleague, probably not wanting the situation to escalate, suggested she get me a cup of coffee, which ended the argument

Because of the queue for coffee, I didn't get my coffee before the machine closed at 11 AM

This Boutique Hotel was very clean, was in a great location and the Staff were very helpful and Friendly.. We got off the cruise ship early and they got us into a room so quickly. Thank you for everything

I loved this hotel, especially the location. It was close to the Piazzale Roma which is the drop off for the bus from the airport and close to the people mover if taking that to a cruise

But the water is a consistent temperature and heats up easily. The staff were very helpful and kind. There's a fabulous cafe for breakfast that costs less than the hotel just a few blocks away called Aioli

Have had relaxing time sitting at the balcony overlooking to the great acropolis. Nice view and such a strategic location to all sightseeing places. Hotel owners personalized reception is impressive

It’s a short walk to the nearest metro station and only slightly farther to most of the sights I wanted to see. Having a balcony overlooking Apostolou Pavlou was very pleasant as we wound down in the evening

The Thissio View is a very nice hotel and its name is well deserved. The view of the Acropolis from our room balcony was…just wow. As a first-time visitor to Athens, I found the location to be perfect
