Vranas Ambiance Hotel in Chania Town

I enjoyed staying here for two weeks. I booked using a booking service and it is also good to contact them directly as you may get a better rate. It is family owned and Nikos is very friendly and helpful. I stayed in two different rooms as Nikos upgraded mine for no charge when he had extra space in one on an upper floor which I found more peaceful to work. I have photos mostly from the room on the lower floor which was also nice and faced a pretty restaurant across the street that opens at 4pm. I prefer the upper floors as they are further from the pedestrian street below and more tranquil to work on my computer. All the rooms are very spacious and I had a table to write. The hotel is very centrally located and there is a small elevator to move luggage upstairs. I hope to go back sometime.

Great hotel very central and 10/10 price performance ratio

location wise, friendly, picturesque atmosphere and really a pleasant 4-day stay in Chania. Also, for the value and service provided during our stay , even going beyond with the accomodations and rearranging certain details of our booking made this hotel a must stay. I can't thank enough for the hospitality and professionalism, but also kindness provided from the receptionist who upgraded this whole experience to a new level.

We had an amazing stay here! The hotel is absolutely beautiful - great location at the center of the Chania and therefore close to all major sites, restaurants, shops and the local bus terminal for trips. The interior is stunning with lovely decoration, just like you see on the pictures so that you immediately feel comfortable. A big plus was the balcony to relax, read and eat with a view on a beautiful neighboring restaurant. The bathroom looks nice, is clean and offers nice amenities like toiletries, body lotion and local olive oil soap. What’s also a big plus is a fridge and even plates, bowls, glasses and cutlery so that we could organize our own breakfast and eat on the balcony. And all that for a great price for the value you get.
The staff was very helpful and kind, so welcoming and they also organized a smooth check-in after their reception hours. They also accommodated our wish for a different room with a lot of kindness. I highly recommend this place and would definitely come back here.

One of the best hotels I've been to. The Rooms are newly renovated, colourful, and beautiful . The staff is friendly and accommodating. All around, it's always a great stay in 10 years that I've been visiting!

So, first get away following Covid and we searched for somewhere central and a decent price. Have to say this one was such a success that we were so pleased. In the old town and 3 mins walk from the harbour where most people end up, it could not be much better (except for a Seaview which of course adds ££s to the price). Pretty easy to find but the signage outside does not stand out so we did pass by it when we first arrived. However, all fine and a warm greeting from Constantina on reception, who was so friendly and helpful. The room was a lovely size on the top floor which plenty of air circulation through windows (two balconies). A/C worked fine, bathroom had shower only but plenty of space. Lovely view down the alley way and of the church and restaurants/shops on the other side. A small lift can take two people, and the stairway is wide and easy to navigate. Absolutely no problem finding restaurants which are everywhere, but there is the tough choice of which to pick. Constantina gave helpful tips of trips, day trips and restaurants. The bus station is 10 min was away and easy to get buses to the main areas. Could not have been really any better.

amazing boutique hotel in the heart of old town Chania. The rooms are very well appointed and comfortable Nikos the manager is exceptional and he’s at your service for any questions or need that you may want during your stay. The hotel is perfectly positioned to explore the old town and all of its charms.
