Let’s start by saying we visited at the end of their season and they were clearly closing down. We just wish they had waited till we’d actually left to do so! We arrived in the early hours of the morning, at about 01:00 and there was no one there to meet us, just instructions and a map taped to the inside of the glass of the reception door. Fortunately we had a car otherwise we’d have had to lug our cases up many outdoor stairs through tunnels and many turns. When we finally found it our room reminded us of our first visit to Greece over 30 years ago. We fell in love with Greece back then and have returned to the mainland and many Islands since. Sadly this room (13) has had very little improvement over the years and was on the shabby side of rustic. Everything worked, but creaking into action and often in need of a coat of paint or varnish. Dinner that night was not in the advertised a la carte restaurant. Instead the only offering was a limited self-serve buffet, the sort of thing you’d see at a cheap all-inclusive. We didn’t dine there again, firstly for the aforementioned reason but also, by Monday, less than halfway through our 7-night stay, nothing was open, No pool facilities, no bar, no reception, no breakfast. Literally we had our room and an emergency out of hours number to call if required. Fortunately, we’re fairly self-sufficient and we didn’t let it spoil our holiday. The room was functional and comfortable enough to serve as a base to stay whilst we enjoyed the wonderful surrounding area with its amazing scenery, wonderful beaches snd many excellent restaurants. However, I struggle to think of what we’d have done without a car as there is very little to do within reasonable walking distance of this place and nothing in the hotel itself. A WORD OF WARNING, THIS PLACE COULD BE DANGEROUS FOR CHILDREN OR ANYONE WITH MOBILITY ISSUES. Many of the steep, stone stairways to the rooms have rotten, wobbly wooden handrails that could break at any time. Tread carefully and don’t rely on handrails.

Never going there again Low quality greasy food, the same for 7 weeks Unpolite hosts Rooms looking like medieval ages Located on top of a hill, only reachable by walking on foot, Old furniture at the restaurant and also very expensive to eat there.

Think a female Greek Basil Faulty and this sums up the elderly lady who owns and runs the business. For the price it was ok as far as our accommodation goes but I think we were just lucky as other guests didn't seem so happy particularly with their rooms AC Swimming pool area is ok but the pool does indeed seem to turn your feet blue! and the whole Hotel is tired and obviously lacks investment. The host is quite an egregious person who refused to allow us to leave our bags at the hotel on the last day as " punishment" for not vacating our accommodation by 11.00 AM. Despite the fact the room details clearly state noon for check-out. Certainly wouldn't go back.

We booked a week at this hotel but escaped after only a few days. The first disappointment was the difficulty in reaching the rooms, which are not signposted and are very dangerous in the dark. The staircase to reach the rooms is definitely not suitable for children or people with walking difficulties. Once in the room, we discovered that the air conditioning was only in the living room and not in the bedroom. The condition of the room was very bad: old furniture, peeling walls, and an impractical bathroom, considering the slow drains and the leaky toilet. The food, which was poor and of poor quality, was served on a wooden terrace which gave the impression of falling over at any moment as people passed by. The seawater pool definitely needed refreshing, as did the sunbeds which were old and had stained cushions. A horrible experience that I would not wish on anyonone.

Avoid at all costs it is not a four ⭐️ star. Sorry but i can only give a two i was so disapointed. Beware no reception if you arrive after 9.30PM. Love holidays are selling this place as a 4 no chance. I would not of booked for £1,200 if i had known this a total rip off. Pretty location but on a very steep hill and impossible to take your case up. I had to unpack some of my things and carry manually. The place has a couple of renovated rooms but the rest are old and tatty. No air con in the bedroom it was situated in the kitchen were i slept. My first night was spent outside as there was no reception open i ended up waiting from 3pm to 8pm at 57 yrs old for my room. The owner who is in her late 70s and so rude and called me stupid. No apology in the morning and demanding to pay tax for my room despite being out all night. A few days later two familys arrived and they were left outside with three children at 1 am . A lady i had made friends with went to find an emergency number with me to call the manager she eventually turned up at 230am. I don't think they realised how lucky they were to eventually get into the apartment. Food what can i say very basic and limited choice. I would never book a two star love holidays are selling incorrectly i been have offered me £90 and said its our final offer what an apology. They said i should phoned the hotel to check my accommodation was open really!!!!wow do not use love holidays you are not legally protected. I must also add Two days later i ended up in hospital from being out all night with bites and had to have treatment. Holiday from hell first few days. I Had a lovely time in the end as I met a couple of german girls who were fab company and hired a 🚘 car as the hotel is in the sticks. A couple of rooms have been renovated in 2021 ,my friend complained and was put into a better room as she was mortified by her first room but had to pay 25 euro a day. Her apartment was totally different and acceptable

It was my first time visiting Greece and I was definitely not disappointed. The hotel really deserves 4*. The environment is large and maintained. The food did not disappoint either. There are several pools, not one or two bars. We liked the bar the most, Nagy and Popi, the bartenders working by the pool just down from the reception. Special thanks to them. Very kind and attentive to everyone. Best wishes! Animation in the evenings is more focused on the Italian audience. Sometimes you didn't even understand what was happening, because practically everything is in Italian.

Lovely place, lovely people. Not their fault it was raining. There is no indoor pool at Cretan village, surprising as it is so large. Nowhere for people to go when the sun is not shining. Covered bar next to reception not open through the day, bit of a con having only the pool bars open when the weather is bad, Only one bus a day to Heraklion 9.15am back at 13.30pm. when you get to town, go upstairs, shops to the right by the large bank. Resort could be doing with more transport options and times. Rooms are nice. Aircon not on in may. Now I know how. Mattress on beds are Hard, credit due they did replace the mattress after I asked for a mattress topper. Again hard mattress a shame, pillows hard too. Nevermind. Lovely tidy resort meals were great, signed up to mitsis club. Our two alacarte meals at pergola and the beach restaurant were excellent, not to be missed. Received a Nice going away present, Entertainment was good at the covered terrace bar. But with only 3 people serving drinks, most people were queuing properly and having to wait from 20 to 30mins. While others were jumping in all over the bar. Just trouble waiting to happen and so off putting. Should be 4 serving 2x2 and queuing from left and the right side. Just fair and organised. Had a lovely time just the scramble to get served at the terrace waisted it. Would recommend a well-run hotel.

Really nice place. Too many cars, too close to the road and lack of heavy investments in comfortable mattresses though.
