Pandora Suites in Chania Town

Beautifully restored building in old Chania. We were warmly greeted upon arrival by Juliana, and “lucky” to get the one parking spot reserved for/by the hotel. Surprisingly, basic stuff missing: no coffee machine, no laundry, no ice, no blackout curtains, sheets far too short for the bed. Every noise from room above echoed into our room. Bed light switches beyond reach. No robes. Airco remote only works from one side of the room and not from bed. Extremely mediocre breakfast, stale croissants, fruit is limited to apples and rock hard kiwi’s, and if you’re not having breakfast in first 45 minutes then there won’t be any croissants or bread left.
If you want to be in the centre of Chania’s old town, this is a great location. Be warned that the restaurants located within a short walk are significantly more pricey than those in the “New Port”, which is a 25-30 minute walk from Pandora Suites. This is a very very touristy town— far too much so for our liking.
