Hotels on first line in Chania Town

Definitely a value for money choice. Beware of the stairs which could be a problem if you are travelling with infants or having movement difficulties. The stairs are however a part of the Chania architecture!

Walking distance to everywhere The staff was really nice, and the service was great with a special and tasty welcome treat! The rooms were very clean and new, while very respectful to the Cretan architecture

A sumptuous breakfast was served in beautiful, spacious semi-basement room. Coffee was served to our individual taste, and the buffet in included fresh orange juice, cooked items, fruit, yoghurt, fresh cakes and pastries

The hotel is one minute walking from the harbour but still in a very quiet area. The rooms are big and confortable with a nice bathroom. The cherry on the top of the cake was the staff, all very friendly

There are 10 rooms: one on the first floor, three on the second floor and six on the third floor. Two of these are "maisonettes", one of which was ours (it was all that was available when we booked!)

The staff (all female) were friendly and helpful, treating us as if we were friends who had come to stay in their home. The only negative, for some people, would be the access and the steps

The building has a lot of character and history

Alcanea Boutique Hotel is an absolute gem in Chania! Eva was exceptional, checking in on us when our flight was delayed, providing us with detailed recommendations of restaurants and beaches then following up with us on our return

Had a lovely stay at Alcanea in the off season, it’s a great location in Chania Old Town. Kyriaki couldn’t have been more helpful and supportive with any requests I had for things to do or organising taxis etc

We had a wonderful stay for five days in November. We felt like we were at home not in a hotel. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the lighthouse. The hotel’s location is perfect in the old town

The location was incredible and the interior and exterior of the 500 year old building provided for such a unique experience. Despite it being an older historical building the rooms were updated with great amenities

Absolutely, quintessential little stay. Extremely polite, clean, and accommodating. More importantly, it is truly a VERY quiet sleeping experience. even with rooms right next to you and a party raging below your window

Amazing experience in this boutique hotel! We were in the Superior Suite and it was perfect for my wife and I, plus our baby! But the property aside, I can’t talk enough about how great the staff is

Loved the little pub downstairs for night caps. Make sure you go to the rooftop for coffee or just people watching at night. The gulf breeze and ambience up there is a nice respite after a day in Old town

That kind of customer service alone saved our trip after a very confusing drop off. Will definitely stay here because of the property and location, but the staff here put it over the top!

Ground floor rooms are a bit noisy due to being directly on the traditional alleys behind the harbour, but it's lively and it didn't't really bother. Staff was helpful and we had a lovely stay

When we arrived, and were dropped off on the opposite side of Old Town, I called and the staff helped us come grab luggage on short notice

The hotel is beautiful, with stunning views from the rooftop and rooms. It’s in a great location to explore the Old Town and is only a 15 minute walk to a lovely beach. The staff were friendly and the room was spotless

The room we had for four people was spacious (two separate bedrooms and a living-room), clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful and we had a great stay. Things to consider for improving: renovate the bathroom

The hotel is behind Chania’s popular waterfront where all the restaurants and shops are located. The owner of the hotel is very helpful with taxi assistance and recommendations with restaurants

There were robes and slippers, mood lighting - whatever you want. The shower is spacious, with warm water and good pressure. The vanity is large enough for two women to get ready. Plenty of hooks for hanging things

Our key card didn't work, so we had to have her come back and fix that for us but it was easy. TALL hand painted ceilings, tall windows, a large bed, armoir, fridge, safe, desk, and large bathroom

We were two women staying for just one night. We parked closeby and walked to Greco hotel and were received by Anna. The check in was easy and she walked us over to the Boutique hotel

The bed was large and comfortable and its so nice to look up at the beautiful ceiling. The lobby of the hotel is also very cute. Its got a little bar, a lounge and a gallery

HOWEVER! The front door SLAMS shut - as its an old wooden door with no special mechanics. So the entire room would shake whenever someone went in our out

The staff upgraded us to a room with a view for no extra charge (thank you!!). This was the most beautiful room we stayed in during our time in Greece

The meal we had at the restaurant was very good and a real healthy portion. If we hadn’t found this gem so late in our holiday we would have eaten there again. Great value and the service was very good

A quaint hotel, converted from a very old townhouse. Very well located in Chania Old Town. Room adequately equipped and bed very comfortable. Breakfast formula was quite good, but little variety from day to day

Besides bread and different spreads, there is eggs as you want them, and wonderful creamy greek yogurt with a seasonal fruit salad

On the second floor, there is a lovely roof terrace with plants, decorations and comfortable furniture. Iona Boutique hotel is well located, and most places of interest can be reached by foot in easy walking distance

Beautiful hotel located in the perfect spot within Chania. Definitely stay here on your trip. Staff were friendly and breakfast is delicious. Right next to a busy street but tucked away so that it is quiet and cozy

This small jewel right in the centre of the old town of Chania, has only 9 rooms, and is run by a lovely and very hospitable family. The rooms are very clean and comfortable and with everything that you need

Beautiful Venetian building in the Old Town, very quiet and private. Excellent breakfast with local products. The owners offered amazing hospitality and great tips, making us feel like locals, not tourists.

As its in the hearth of the old town, just narrow lanes and no traffic, so its really quite, which is wonderful. Breakfast is served in the small garden

Perfect for its separation from the street but not from the skies and sounds of Chania. The breakfasts were always big, well made, whether we had them in the cozy garden at the back or inside the front lobby

Excellent hotel for exploring Chania. Quiet. Nice, clean rooms. Staff is very helpful. One caution is that there is no elevator, so if stairs are a problem, reach out to the staff.

We spent 5 nights at Splanzia Boutique Hotel and the experience was trully nice. The hotel, run by Nikos and his family, is very well located, at the very entrance of the old town

The rooms are very clean and well equipped, and our's had a very nice garden view. The breakfast is trully amazing, all local and recently cooked products, served in the garden

Close to everything whether we went for a morning run by the port, swimming and shopping in the afternoon or to dinner at night. Best hotel in Chania? I would not be surprised

There is a parking possibility in front of the hotel. And above all, the amazing host's kindness, supportiveness and diligency. All in one, very highly recommended!

Great staff. They helped us with all excursions and actually everything we needed to have a wonderful stay. The place is great. It is 1 min to the beach and 15 min slow walk to the Venetian port.

Had a great stay at Magia apartments, very clean and helpful hosts, highly recommend for a stay outside of old town but short walk and great beach

This apartment has the best view, nice front staff, helpful janitor lady, well equipped kitchen, and nice interior! We enjoyed staying here for 3 nights, easy to get to the nearest supermarket and nice restaurants, 15 mins to get to Chania town where everything is there

If we have a chance to visit Chania again, this is the place we are coming back

Indeed, this is a 2-star hotel, and unfortunately our studio was outdated and should be renovated, especially with the addition of double-glazed windows and a more modern kitchen

Our apartment was the one located upstairs on the 2nd floor with a mezzanine which gives it a little charm. The hotel is housed in a tastefully renovated old building. The hostess Katerina's welcome was truly exceptional

We were especially impressed by the receptionist Katerina, who was extremely friendly and helpful, making our stay a relaxing, stress free experience. We very much look forward to returning next year!

For car parking, two free car parks are located near the hotel, about 200 meters away. We had no problem finding a place. The apartment is very clean and renovated. It has a modern style and is well equipped

She helped us booked tours to Balos/Elafanisi with repubatable and reliable companies, as well as recommended good restaurants. The room was spacious, bright and airy with good air con and great wifi

Always smiling, very good advice on tourist spots in the surrounding area and especially on good restaurants in the city. This welcome added a real plus to our stay. We highly recommend these places

Just what we wanted Clean basic room, helpful friendly staff. Breakfast was not included ( they just call it pocoloco bed and breakfast) but breakfast was very nice and good value

Its been a long time but I have such amazing memories from the vacation I spent at Mike and Inka's place with my parents. They were so friendly and homely

Mike & Inka are great hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them and they make you feel like at home. The appartements are clean, brekfast is great and plenty of, pool area is nice and clean

The pool is nearly always quiet, which means you can have a relaxing swim with plenty of sun loungers to choose from. The rooms are fantastic, each with a balcony offering sea view and are cleaned thoroughly every day

Breakfast is delightful with such a vast variety eaten on the breakfast terrace with espresso made by Mike. The pool and sun beds are often deserted during the day as the car park empties

Nice location that is walkable to see the city. Can also probably find parking overnight.

Gym had no ventilation or airconditioning, had to be escorted to the gym instead of it being open with a passcode or badge and 3 levels below parking garage. Laundry services not available as self serve on site

Dirty stairwells, extra cost for parking, nowhere to hang clothes safely outside without concern for theft (no private balcony)

The ventilation system was very noisy, and the gym was really disappointing, with several machines in such poor condition that they shouldn’t be used. In addition, the fitness room was extremely dirty

Unfortunately, my room was not clean when I arrived at the hotel. There was quite a lot of hair in the shower and dirt on the floor

The view from my room was exceptional. The only drawback was the noise level. If you stay there, you must eat at Tamam - about a half block from Vranas!

We had the 2 bedroom suite with the view of the old harbor & lighthouse over the Aegean sea. It’s just so relaxing just sitting by the living room area watching both the sunrise & sunset

This is for people who want to be where the activity is. (Although in the center of the activity, we should note that the walls are thick and we went to bed around 10:00 every night and were never disturbed by noise)

The breakfast was delicious! The hotel is conveniently located at the heart of the old harbor. Everything is walking distance. It is surrounded by shops & restaurants. We really loved & enjoyed our stay here

i had the best of them (last floor with balcony and. when u shower it smells sheat, when u flush its very low. the toilet seat is broken - the king size bed is very thin you feel the bed slats

We left the next morning feeling refreshed and relieved to have found somewhere so good, very reasonably priced, clean and comfy at such short notice, out of season

I would not hesitate to return and may decide staying here after a late-ish arrival is a better option. No idea about how far it is to places of interest, but did not seem to be far from mini-markets and places to eat

He contacted a couple of places where there was no answer, or they were closed, then tried Pantheon and got us a room. 30pm, to a lovely clean, spacious apartment - sitting room with basic kitchen/fridge etc

The bedroom had tinted glass and large windows/patio-doors so you could leave the roller blinds up and enjoy the view. The balcony outside was fairly large and there were chairs/table/clothes dryer

Arriving in Chania at 9pm, in January, our taxi driver met us as arranged but couldn't take us to our destination on the south coast due to bad weather over the mountains

Very clean rooms and high hospitality place with kind hosts. Good food and coffee bars around there and very close to the beach .

Such a great place to stay! The beach is within 5 mins walking, the busy old town/city center is 17 mins away by foot, the building is safe, the room is in good standard and the hosts are wonderful and helpful

Towels and bed linens were changed every 2-3 days, which made our stay even more comfortable. There was a washing machine available for just two euros per load, and the detergent (Ariel) was free

Hotel is very close to beach and to bakery/coffee shops, supermarkets and petrol station, as well as to city centre. No problem with parking - which was on street. Ladies working in reception were very kind and helpful

We had a great stay at Apartment Chania in Crete! Every day, the trash was taken out, the floors were cleaned, and everything was tidied up, so the apartment was always clean and welcoming

We got a balcony like we asked for (though not guaranteed), and they allowed us to check in early when our room was available and clean. The room was nice, modern, and had just about everything we needed

We had breakfast outside across from the accommodation in the courtyard where you could choose sun or shade. Accommodation had all amenities close by from restaurants, to bars, to shops, etc

Oh, and the location is phenomenal, so close to amazing restaurants and bars (check out Lime), and the old venetian harbor is easily walkable (10-15min)! We'd definitely stay here again!

The property was at perfect walking distance from everything. You were able to experience the quiet environment during the morning, and at night it became full of fun nightlife

What a lovely place! Just in the middle of the old city and next to my favorite restaurant!! Clean, water, coffee and even a good biscuit for us in the room! Perfection.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Epavli Aug 11-Aug 21. This boutique hotel is exactly as pictured, but even better in person! An oasis in the city. We enjoyed the garden, pool, and freshly prepared breakfast

Several walking routes to the seafront and harbour and old town, at an average pace takes about 15 mins. We didn’t have a car so again I don’t know about parking on the roadside as I didn’t see a carpark

Nothing was too small to get help. The cleanliness was superb from the pool area, the room and garden. Excellent choice for breakfast and drinks available during the day

Whilst there there we only met adults so I don’t know if children are accommodated for or not? For a quiet stay as a couple or single it was perfect and the locality to evening restaurants and coffee bars was ideal if you don’t want to walk back down to the town

We had an amazing time staying 4 nights at Domus Renier. Georgia and Sandi at the front desk were extremely helpful and very fun to interact with daily. They went above and beyond and made our trip feel extra special

The staff kept the rooms clean and their breakfast every morning was outstanding. The staff were smiling always and the architecture of the room (secreto) was worth every penny.

Just about perfect for a large group to all be together! There is lots of parking at the apartment and a 24 hour mini mart down the street (has lots of food including fruits, veggies, cheese, etc)

We parked our rented car and enjoyed the facilities the apartment offered and toured the sites of Chania stressfree. I would highly recommend Spring apartments. Kosta's was a pleasure to deal with
