Our room was nice and big, the hotel is really close to the old town, port and traditional market, but situated in a silent small street. Hotel Tina is a low price budget hotel with no frills. You get what you pay for but....the service you receive (to me) exceeds expectations. Room is cleaned daily and bedding/towels replenished every other day. This is a lovely authentic Cretan hotel with a fabulous roof top terrace and great views. The breakfast buffet was great too. The only issues for me were the very hard bed and the 42 steps up to our room, which when you forget your phone is a challenge!

Lovely Room in Great Location but Mind the Stairs The property is very centrally located, and the room was lovely and clean. Despite the restaurants nearby creating some noise at street level, it was perfectly quiet at night. The main drawback is the absence of a lift, with rather narrow stairs, and the check-in point being around 100 metres away. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.

A small hotel with just a few rooms and no front desk. You get the key to the front door to open it up when you return. No elevator. But it was clean and cozy and had a teensy balcony over the little street below.

Palazzo di Pietro is a hidden gem - a delightful property with many fascinating elements. It's spotlessly clean. The owner, Eleutheria, was extremely welcoming and helpful, and gave great guidance for interesting things to do, places to eat etc. There were many small touches which made our stay wonderful - we would definitely want to stay here again if re-visiting Chania.

If you were in a three-star hotel for 1,000 a night, I would think you were pretty good, but if you said that you were in a five-star hotel for 2,400 a night, I would find it ridiculous.
