I spent 6 nights in this nice hotel in early September 2025. It is greatly located at the heart of Chania Old City. The room was very spatious with a big terrace. The owner and all the staff were very friendly and helpful. I hope to come back again.

A quaint hotel, converted from a very old townhouse. Very well located in Chania Old Town. Room adequately equipped and bed very comfortable. A/C worked well. Breakfast formula was quite good, but little variety from day to day. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Website designer deserves an award for accentuating the positives of a less than luxurious hotel.

The meal we had at the restaurant was very good and a real healthy portion. If we hadn’t found this gem so late in our holiday we would have eaten there again. Great value and the service was very good. The beer selection was also good, they even had Guinness.

We stay at Odos Onerion for 7 nights and had the best customer service from the friendly team. They would go out of the way to ensure we had an amazing experience. We spend two special night here. The rooms were well designed, the breakfast was superb, and the service was flawless. Was also very nice to have our own private pool with a view out over the city and lighthouse. Would highly recommend a stay here if you are looking for a tranquil break and a chance to recharge.

Great location in the heart of the old town, we were very happy with the large room with mezzanine bedroom and private terrace as well as a smart tv (not that we watched much) was great to connect to for music/news etc in the evenings. Simply the best! The family operated guesthouse, is that. You’re a guest and they offer the best of Cretan hospitality. They make you feel like family. It is just far enough out of the hustle and bustle of chania, yet only about a 5-6 minute drive into town. The orange groves, pool and pool bar area is perfect. We have visited and stayed numerous times.

It's not a very big hotel, with six or seven floors and four or five rooms on each floor. The room faces the sea, the view is great, and I fall asleep every night listening to the sound of the waves. We got a balcony like we asked for (though not guaranteed), and they allowed us to check in early when our room was available and clean. The property was at perfect walking distance from everything. You were able to experience the quiet environment during the morning, and at night it became full of fun nightlife. Had a lovely stay at Alcanea in the off season, it’s a great location in Chania Old Town. Kyriaki couldn’t have been more helpful and supportive with any requests I had for things to do or organising taxis etc. The building has a lot of character and history

We had a wonderful stay for five days in November. We felt like we were at home not in a hotel. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the lighthouse. The apartment was unbelievably spacious and very clean. The kitchen was great, it had all the amenities though very basic setup, we did make some soup and pasta! You could easily walk to the centre of old town, took about 15 minutes. Comfy bed.

Unfortunately, my room was not clean when I arrived at the hotel. There was quite a lot of hair in the shower and dirt on the floor. The ventilation system was very noisy, and the gym was really disappointing, with several machines in such poor condition that they shouldn’t be used. In addition, the fitness room was extremely dirty.

Gym had no ventilation or airconditioning, had to be escorted to the gym instead of it being open with a passcode or badge and 3 levels below parking garage. Laundry services not available as self serve on site. Dirty stairwells, extra cost for parking, nowhere to hang clothes safely outside without concern for theft (no private balcony)

This hotel is really very good, the staff is very enthusiastic, the cleaning is very timely, the location is also very good, there are supermarkets and breakfast shops around, and parking is convenient.

The room was beautiful – spacious, bright, and had a lovely balcony. The location was also perfect, just a short walk from the city center. We really enjoyed our stay! The only downside was that, since the place is so central, it got a bit noisy on the last night (it was the weekend), even with the windows and door closed.

Perfect combination of relaxation in the heart of the city. While busy tourist towns are not our thing, this hotel provided the perfect, quite, luxurious retreat. The room was beautiful, the staff super attentive and the private jacuzzi was exactly what we needed after the Samaria Gorge hike.
