Minoos Hotel in Chania Town

Booked on booking.com and had a HORRIBLE experience in August. Do NOT go here. We were not able to get the refund and we still went and stayed at another hotel. Here's why:

1. Misleading Property Description: The accommodation is not part of a proper hotel facility, contrary to the description provided on your platform. The so-called reception area was in a deplorable state, completely unfit for welcoming guests. There are "rooms" but not a hotel. Attached you will find the photo of the building & the so-called reception.

2. Substandard Room Conditions: The room did not meet basic standards expected for the VERY high price we paid... The bed was extremely squeaky, old, and broken, making it impossible to sleep comfortably.

3. Uncomfortable and Unsafe Atmosphere: The host became aware of our dissatisfaction, which created an uncomfortable and unsafe atmosphere. We did not feel secure staying at the property under these circumstances, which is another reason why we decided to leave. He was also not at all accommodating - he just wanted to ensure he does not lose the undeserved money he made for the very poor room.

4. Disrespectful Behavior: Adding to our distress, after we left the venue, the host sent us a mocking video of a person jumping on the bed, claiming it had been fixed. This behavior is not only unprofessional but highly disrespectful and has further exacerbated our frustration.

Overall, this place should either be truthful on booking.com about what they are and what not (ie they are not a hotel...) or they should even be removed.
