The Hotel was amazing and the owners were wonderful. Every request was taken care of. It has a beautiful cocktail bar and the cocktails were truly one of a kind. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and made our stay even more enjoyable.

I loved the location! There are many bars and restaurants. The staff was so kind and the room always clean. We had a lot of fun at the pool and drank many delicious cocktails. The beach is barely 5min away. 10/10 experience

What a relaxing, peaceful place to stay , I’d read a lot on here about the family who run it and you can see why people are so positive So welcoming and interact to the right level and very amusing, just nice people , the pool area is spotless with plenty of padded sun beds , the snack bar is also very tasty if you’re looking for a chilled week look no further

From the moment we arrived after initially booking direct with Aris, we were made to feel so welcome. This fabulous family run hotel with its typical Greek style is the perfect choice for a relaxing holiday in the sun. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean and all of the staff work tirelessly to ensure a fabulous holiday experience. The food is delicious with a variety of dishes (can seriously recommend the salads!) and are prepared fresh by the family even down to the home grown fresh herbs! The rooms are comfortable and clean with all the amenities you need with lots of areas to escape the sun if you need to. The pool is a perfect size and is surrounded by plenty of sunbeds and parasols with the surrounding garden areas kept pristine. I can honestly say that this is one of the best holidays I have had which was made even more special by the warm, kind, humour filled hospitality of the whole family and staff and whilst I would like to keep this little piece of Crete as a secret destination, I would urge anyone to book holiday here! Very much looking forward returning next year.

Booked Despina based on the reviews and got to say they were right.We had such a brilliant holiday staying there. The brothers,and there lovely mum were fantastic and made you feel so welcome nothing was a problem. The rooms are traditional Greek apartments and spotlessly clean. The bar,Kondimar,is very popular with the best cocktails served by beautiful Ria. Can’t wait till next year 😎 xx

Room very clean . Comfy bed and pillows . Perfect location to bars , restaurants, beach . Very chilled an relaxed. Service friendly , not in your face or over the top. The brothers are all great to chat to, have a giggle with . Great bar an atmosphere.

Fantastic location for beach and local restaurants / bars and has its own cocktail bar out the front which serves the best cocktails in town. Basic rooms but that’s all you need as won’t be in there much. Great pool, plenty of sun beds and very helpful family running the place.

We are staying at Despina Apartments for the first time since 2019. We love to come to this family run business. Our room is spacious and very very clean. The water pressure is really nice in the shower and we have a fantastic balcony. In 2021 I had two back surgeries, but the mattress in the room is really great, and I’ve woken each morning feeling great, better than at home to be honest. The apartments have a pool and cocktail bar. The pool is beautiful and a natural sun trap. We have visited a number of times in the past with and without a car. The times we have not had a car we have been more than happy to stay at the pool area for the whole holiday. Since we last visited the sun loungers have been upgraded to have really thick padding, I have been able to lay comfortably even with my health problems, which was a really nice surprise. The showers and toilets around the pool are extremely clean which is very important to us. The showers and toilets have been recently upgraded and are just lovely. The cocktail bar is also furnished really beautifully, and the family that run the place are always on hand to make your day as special as they can. They have a herb garden to furnish the cocktails and the attention to detail by the bar staff is what you would expect to see in a really really high end bar. But you are not paying high end prices. So you win twice when visiting. I would give the place 6 stars if I was allowed to! My wife and I have never had a bad experience while here. And we’re really grateful to everyone working hard to make this happen. The location is close to all the best dining in Gouves. And the apartments are a 2 minute walk to the beach. You can turn left and see all of Gouves. Or turn right and in 20 minutes down the beach be in Analipsi giving you really easy access to both resorts.

Despina is a great family run apartments ,with a cocktail bar serving various drinks at competitive prices, it shows sports on the big screen to, the pool is a good size and there are plenty of sunbeds ,with no need to place towels on them , there are plenty of restaurants and bars within close distance too, or if you want snacks with your drinks there's pizza, burgers and chips etc, it's so chilled out I've stayed a few times, have has other travellers solo and couples, they were modernising each apartments bathroom in May, to a high standard,
