The location is excellent with the airport bus dropping you pretty much at the door. Staff were all great and were helpful. We requested a late checkout and it wasn't a problem

My stay at Danubius Hotel Astoria was absolutely excellent and exceeded all expectations

Great location - right on top of a metro station, with plenty of trams and busses around. Close to shops and a lot of food options. We stayed in the older part of the hotel. The room was fine - spacious, good shower

The hotel offers a perfect city-center location, making it incredibly convenient for exploring Budapest, with major attractions, public transport, restaurants, and cafés all within easy walking distance

Before coming, I only knew it was a century-old hotel, and it turned out that wasn't just a gimmick. You can see from my photos that it truly has that antique charm, that old-world feel from the last century

I personally love this kind of atmosphere; after all, traveling is about experiencing new things. It's inevitable that the hotel facilities are a bit old, but you can tell they're very well-maintained

The bed is snow-white and comfortable. A kettle, cups, saucers, spoons, slippers - everything is there. Well, and the sad thing is the bathtub. The ventilation did not work at all. The shower head is a real quest

Of the pickles, there are only cucumbers, sauerkraut in pepper and a mixture of cabbage with something. But the pork, blood sausage and duck are still superbly cooked. It's a pity that the latter was only once

Huge thanks to him for everything! The hotel is cozy, beautiful, clean. They constantly wash and clean everywhere. I was amazed that upon arrival they even change the curtain in the bathroom for a new one

The floor was not washed even once during the entire time, although I hung a sign asking for a full cleaning. But these are generally minor things. Otherwise, there are no complaints about the cleaning

And the saddest thing is that although dinner is scheduled until 9 p. , and sometimes earlier, they started taking away the bain-maries. It was more convenient for me to come after the pool at 8 p

for dinner, when there are few people, you can hear quiet music, but such a visit to a restaurant in Sharvaska Ensan is fraught with the fact that there will be little food left

And then, after swimming and resting, we come to dinner! I can safely say that the food in this hotel is one of the best we have ever had

A hotel that exceeded our expectations. I would like to give the restaurant and the chef a maximum rating. We have a celiac daughter and for us it was a delight to have gluten free options for both dinner and breakfast

I could compare the breakfast to any 5 star restaurant. A person is constantly in charge of the buffet so that the food looks good. The spa in the hotel is well maintained

I receive many facials but these facials were on the tops. The spa area is very beautiful,very relaxing. Beautiful pool , jacuzzi and hydro water. Wish they would have more lounge chairs, but overall was great

Loved the pumpkin soup and other many soup choices! Cannot wait to bring back my family. We travel many countries, many hotels. This hotel food options like breakfast and dinner buffet were the best so far

Our room was spotless, the bed was very comfortable, and despite the central location, the room was perfectly quiet. The whole place has a wonderful atmosphere, and lake Balaton is just a three minute walk away

We had an issue getting a taxi to the train station, and one of the hotel employees (I forgot his name, a nice young gentleman) drove us to the train station

We really enjoyed our one night stay and wish we could have stayed longer. We were greeted very warmly at reception and offered a glass of champagne. The hotel is beautiful, very modern, and elegant

Even if the hotel was stuck in the 80s, you would have a good time. The only downside is that with Freya Hotel, you do not get access to Thermal World

It's a 3 star hotel. Good thing about it you can walk to the thermal bath from the hotel through a covered tunnel. Food is tasty but sometimes boring. Rooms are small, outdated but clean. Beds are comfortable.

-> 4star Its main benefit is the direct underground connection to the spa which makes it a good choice from autumn to spring. That also means that their own entertainment offerings are limited

We had a generally very good experience at Kolping Hotel. The food was amazing, the staff were incredibly kind, and the kindergarten availability is a massive plus for parents

Hotel where you have all in one place. There are children gardens (outside and inside), aqualand, wellness. Very good and rich meals. Own coffee bar. Our daughter didnt want to go home 🙂

Our stay at the hotel exceeded all our expectations in every possible way. There was a wide selection of food, including plenty of options specially prepared for children, both at breakfast and dinner

The activities and facilities for children are absolutely outstanding and truly second to none. We can highly recommend this hotel to everyone, especially families with kids

However, there are two areas where I think the guest experience could be improved: ​Sound Insulation: We could hear the neighbors on their balcony word-for-word late into the evening, even with all our windows closed

The best part is when there are other kids for them to play with. It is the highlight, for sure

The room also has a smart TV, which you can connect multi media devices such as your laptop, tablet and camera, Enjoyed a delicious meal on our anniversary in the restaurant with a very good selection of Asian fusion menu

Room was perfectly clean and well furnished. Our room had a balcony which had 2 sets of doors which kept any noise or cold out at all. House keeping is excellent and the staff very happy to help

I stayed at Benczúr Hotel from Thursday to Sunday and had a wonderful experience throughout. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and pleasantly warm, and the service was excellent at all times

The hotel breakfast was also one the best I've tried in Europe! The room was also clean and spacious although there was no kettle

What impressed me most was the food. I rarely get to enjoy meals of such high quality, and as someone who is not from Hungary, I especially loved the Hungarian specialties

Wellamarine has been a blessing for me during the Covid 19 Pandemia. This hotel is just at the lake side. The distance from the main train station is less than one kilometer. Internet wifi speed is excellent

In the spa, massage is available, and they have a good selection of saunas and pools, which is great when the weather doesn't allow you to use the lake. The lake is 1 minute from the hotel

They have very well maintained small pools, with jacuzzi in and outdoors, nice, cosy places for relaxing and 4 kinds of different saunas to choose from

We had an incredible stay at Hungest Hotel in Gyula! Everything here is designed for maximum relaxation. The rooms are beautiful, and the beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep

We asked for a fee waver given the circumstances and they have been very nice and prompt in getting back to us and not applying any charges. We will definitely choose this location when we will visit Gyula

The most important is access to thermal baths. Rooms are standard and nothing to complain about. The critical issue is Internet. It basically works only within lobby, so be prepared to use your cellular one

The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. A fantastic bonus is the direct access to the thermal baths and aquapark, which added so much to our experience

We were on the free beach in Kenyes. The time and the water were excellent. You can get a delicious flame in the buffet, but you can also have ice cream. We had a lot of fun.

Because there were several seminars during the week, the garden and wellness area were very empty. It got busier from the weekend onwards. There were always plenty of sun loungers available

Realised family hotel after getting there. But inckuded dinner and breakfast. Had to move rooms could hearvthe bowling alley in our room. The pools and saunas were nice

My only concern was with my bedroom which was a single room but very small. The bathroom was even smaller and you could hardly use the shower due to its size and I am not the largest person

I stayed there for a night with one of my female friend. We both felt safe and never had any negative thought about staying there. The location was very good, it is just at 3 mins walking distance of Bascilica

The receptionist was very nice and explained clearly on stay and breakfast. Some stains were found on the bed linen but in general the room was clean and comfortable. All electrical appliances worked well

My room was modern, comfy, and had an absolutely stunning view of the city! I genuinely didn't expect that! Now let's talk about the breakfast. Hands down, the BEST hotel breakfast I've ever had

The hotel was near the metro which is good and the room was quite small but it’s clean. The bathroom shower was too narrow and small, however, the staff was accommodating and friendly.

Great location, very close to both the subway and train, and right next to attractions like Fisherman's Bastion. The staff were also very nice, ordering takeout was convenient, and the price was very reasonable

Other than that my stay was good

Luckily during my stayed I bring my own toiletries. The hotel just provide shampoo and soap only due to reducing plastic use. The Air conditioner could be more cold, lobby feels colder than my room

The variety was insane they had everything from pastries and fresh fruits to hot dishes and even Camembert cheese (yes, seriously!). I went down for breakfast excited every single morning

We stayed here with our kids, and it was a great choice. The location is perfect — right next to Nagyerdő Park and just a 5-minute walk from Aquaticum. The staff were friendly and helpful the whole time

Decent resort with mixed results. Rooms are nice and clean with lots of hangers. Design is nice (depending on the taste), but water pressure on the 4th floor is horrible, especially when the hotel is over 1/2 full

The pool and spa area was spacious and pleasant, but it's good to know that their rules require you to remove your swimsuit to use the sauna and Turkish bath

The sauna area is excellent and the sauna sessions/seances each day were outstanding (and we've been to a lot around Hungary - these were amongst the best). The food is amazing and is certainly of the highest quality

This review is only about the sauna: What a beautiful area, looks like how a multi millioner would have deseind it for himself! Big glass walls, lots of light, large space and garden

It's not comparable to what you'd find back home, but the value for money is pretty good, really good. It would be even better if they had a bigger electric kettle, a larger duvet, and provided power adapters.

Really quiet sleep and really good parking and location. Didn't eat breakfast there so I can't say anything about that. Little bit warn shower.

Good Hotel, clean and modern rooms. Parking garage. Friendly stuff. But Matress was terrible, very uncomfortable for my girlfriend and me. Rich breakfast, but bread was not really fresh at all 3 days.

This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in Budapest. I especially loved the incredibly rich breakfast, though the dinner at the restaurant was a bit ordinary and lacked Hungarian character

Both the facilities and the location were excellent. If I ever have the chance to visit Budapest again, I would definitely like to stay here.

To our suprise, most of the staff communicated well in English and were always welcoming, professional, and friendly. The superior studio provided a spectacular view of the Danube River and the majestic Chain Bridge

Outstanding Gold Standard Hotel. We stayed five nights in the hotel, and from the time we arrived, we enjoyed the most outstanding professional and welcoming hospitality of the hotel staff

My only note is that the standard rooms are on the smaller side, which might be an issue for extended stays
