Best Hotels in Hungary

The attitude is disgusting! The receptionists are unhelpful; they refer to the doctor, but you can't see him! So, all complaints or changes to treatment must be made through the doctor, who doesn't exist! I haven't been so disappointed with treatment in a long time!

The food was awful, the service as well, the staff doesn’t speak a good English and waiting all the time the tips. The room cleaning was just making up the beds, not even clean the bathroom

The exterior wasn't great, but the rooms were remodeled and I was very satisfied. The menu changed slightly every day, which was nice. I wish there were more activities in the kids' room.

Excellent stay over the weekend! staff is quite generous. Food was good, however, there was hardly anything in vegetarian option

Location: not the closest to the city centre but close to metro, 2 mins walk, with a shopping mall underneath it

The location is super convenient, with a mall right downstairs and a supermarket across the street, making shopping a breeze. The front desk even gave us chocolates, and the service was amazing. Highly recommend!

Hotel staff are fantastic, everyone is very pleasant and helpful. Location is also excellent, on the edge of the city center / main tourist area on the Pest side, with metro, buses and tram stations all next to the hotel

I asked the reception for a knife and some ice, and was told that they could only be provided if I paid an additional delivery/service fee, otherwise I had to come down to reception myself

I was surprised that such a policy was not explained at check-in or shown in hotel information. The hotel itself and the rooms were nice, but this kind of charge left a poor impression

Basic items like a knife and ice should not come with a hidden fee when the hotel already markets itself as a comfortable 4-star experience

I hope management will reconsider this policy or at least inform guests transparently at check-in so that expectations are clear

This felt unreasonable for a hotel that positions itself as premium and guest-oriented

I booked breakfast at the hotel on the fly, and it was really plentiful. The restaurant decor was very retro and luxurious, with a historical Eastern European feel

Nice place and our stay was good. Some staff at the bar were mocking in their language when we asked for some cutlery for the room, not sure why. But overall good place.

Everything we’re almost perfect, except the bathrobes are not free and you need always to ask for it. But aside from that the place and the staff were cool and helpful.

The biggest convenience was the bus stop right across the street with frequently going bus, that takes u to the central area only for few minutes

There was decent spa, which u can enjoy after long walks in the cold weather

Not enough bath robes and slippers for amount of people staying in the hotel so if you check in later afternoon you probably have to wait till another day when housekeeping comes back to the work

Peaceful environment, spacious rooms, and excellent, healthy food prepared with care - the dinner was the best part of our stay! The spa area is almost empty (stayed in May) and there are plenty of chairs/loungers

The hotel was good the room was all renovated and so the bathroom perfect shower pressure with good amenities refrigerator

Clean room, great breakfast buffet, nice pools. The only downside may be the distance to the center of Budapest but bus stations are close enough. So calculate around 25 minutes. Recommended.

Great location and friendly staff.

The service in the restaurant during the meals were top notch. The rooms were comfortable enough, and even had a good mini bar selection, just make sure to bring your own toiletries

I struggled to find a clean plate, cutlery or glasses next to the food buffet (once I tried 4 different plates, and found dried food on the bottom of each, glassess and cutlery had greasy stains on them - not dried water, but visibly something else

It is not a nice sight when the cook is coming out of the kitchen, checking if there is enough food under the heating cover and find something sticked to the lid, remove it with his bare hands and throw it back to the pot

We had a company event where almost 150+ people had gathered together here for a few days and we all had a blast! Great location, perfect scenery from the hotel, and excellent SPA, great food (Hungarian!) and very helpful and patient staff

Great rooms, great pools, great food, great service!!!!! Cannot give enough praise! We loved every second there and wish we could have stayed longer. Reachable by bus or taxis for those without a car

With such high expectations—and especially considering the 10,800 HUF entrance fee—I assumed everything would be well-maintained and of excellent quality. Unfortunately, my visit turned out to be a major disappointment

well i must say i m a sauna guy so the pools i do not rate. but you can definetly live with what is there. Also the best sauna is outside. Also doing there the sauna rituals (pretty good one)

Customer service , by mistake they wanted to charge me for a cake which I never ordered,the receptionist was helpful and he corrected the problem but frankly I say the other stuff member should pay a bit more attention

That’s why I gave it 3 stars, and frankly, I think that’s all it deserves. Calling it a 4-star hotel feels like a stretch compared to other places with the same rating. Unfortunately, it was an expensive lesson

The spa was okay too, my only issue is in the hot tub the water could have been a bit warmer

But easily the best and most memorable part of my stay here was the exceptional staff, always smiling, helpful and professional. Hope I'll have the chance to visit again soon!

Good experience staying in this hotel

The location is perfect! Metro is in the front of hotel BF are also good but the food is still the same :( I’ve stayed for 3 night the food are still the same.

Daniel, who worked at the front desk, in particular was very helpful and patient with our many questions. The breakfast buffet was very good

Hello, Overall it was our very pleasant stay in your Hotel. We were bit dissapointed regarding partialy not working airconditon and thermal pool out of order, despite that it was enjoyable vacation.

Shame that there was construction was in the wellness area

Due to the construction work, movement trough hotel is limited, also no common areas. Only two elevators are in operation, when it is crowded, you have to wait for ten minutes

The location was excellent, close to everything we needed. The area felt safe and convenient. The place's cleanliness was also impressive, everything was tidy, well-maintained, and fresh

Before coming, I only knew it was a century-old hotel, and it turned out that wasn't just a gimmick. You can see from my photos that it truly has that antique charm, that old-world feel from the last century

I personally love this kind of atmosphere; after all, traveling is about experiencing new things. It's inevitable that the hotel facilities are a bit old, but you can tell they're very well-maintained

The reception is very helpful and thanks to them. I got the limited Lake Cave boat tour ticket. The playground is free and the paid mini golf are very interesting and good for family trip

The location of the hotel is perfect. Staff are very warm hearted 4 minutes walkable to the city center. The sauna facilities is very new and maintained good. The hotel room is a bit small but they offer extra bed

We had an incredible stay at Hungest Hotel in Gyula! Everything here is designed for maximum relaxation. The rooms are beautiful, and the beds are incredibly comfortable, ensuring a great night's sleep

We asked for a fee waver given the circumstances and they have been very nice and prompt in getting back to us and not applying any charges. We will definitely choose this location when we will visit Gyula

The most important is access to thermal baths. Rooms are standard and nothing to complain about. The critical issue is Internet. It basically works only within lobby, so be prepared to use your cellular one

The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. A fantastic bonus is the direct access to the thermal baths and aquapark, which added so much to our experience

Nice hotel, close to the Old City and to public transportation. Walkable distance to the city center. Quiet and clean, unfortunately people don't take good care of the furniture and of the walls.
