The room was nice, we had a balcony looking out to the city which was a nice bonus but did not get much use in winter. The hotel is well connected via metro to the city but is also walkable.

Had more expectations regarding the bedroom which was small, had no space to open our luggages and no fridge or water in the room, however we asked for water and they brought us a bottle of water

The mattress was uncomfortable for my back and others guests next to us were slamming the door multiple times during the day and we shouting and making a lot of noise until 3am which made rest a bit difficult for almost the whole time, but this is out of control of the management

Apartments are quite good averyone has aircondition and some has a balcony

The room is large in size and equipped with kitchen utensils and tableware, a coffee machine, a sofa bed and a TV. The room is clean and smell-free. There is an oversized refrigerator

However, please note that when checking out, please clean up the garbage in the room by yourself and take it to the first floor

The breakfast is the best I’ve had in over 1,000 Marriott nights. The Spago breakfast included many unique and house-made items that made breakfast memorable

We had a fabulous 4 night stay at Matild Palace! Nikoletta in Guest Services was awesome and made sure we had everything we needed (thank you again for the upgrade Nikoletta!!). All the staff were so very nice

Service all the way from the door men to the spa receptionist was excellent

There is an evening restaurant and a bar where you can relax in peace. Just be careful with the parking, don't forget to pay because the parking fees are checked very often

The staff allowed us to remain in the same room type throughout the course of our entire stay, even though the latter booking was supposed to be a smaller/cheaper room

It made things much more convenient too as we need not move our belongings to check-out then check-in again. What a great way to elevate the customers’ experience

It is very close to the exhibition, only 5 minutes' walk away, but it is quite far from the city center, so you need to take a taxi or walk 20 minutes to the subway entrance to take the subway

We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The biggest issue was the room itself — it had no outside window, only an internal one, which meant we couldn’t get any fresh air at all

Spa and skypool are nice, there's no reason to go to the Zalakaros aquapark/spa to be honest. The location is nice, right beside a new pond and (the main) park in Zalakaros, perfect for going for walks

With such high expectations—and especially considering the 10,800 HUF entrance fee—I assumed everything would be well-maintained and of excellent quality. Unfortunately, my visit turned out to be a major disappointment

well i must say i m a sauna guy so the pools i do not rate. but you can definetly live with what is there. Also the best sauna is outside. Also doing there the sauna rituals (pretty good one)

at check-in we waited for about an hour and at the end it was not clear why did we have to wait. Indoor spa pools lighting and noise are almost unbearable. on the other hand the outside pool is very nice and enjoyable

The cons: Rooms are remodelled, simple Holiday Inn style. Hotel and restaurant staff seem to be overworked, not very motivated. The food is plentyful, the quality is so-so, mass feeding the crowd

This hotel is close to restaurants and other attractions. We stayed in the Sissi Suite. One of the very best rooms we have ever stayed in. The photos don’t convey the attention to detail. Amazing location for breakfast.

This was my second time at the Pest-Buda Design Boutique Hotel and I can highly recommend it. You can hear some traffic noise in the room facing the street, but it didn't bother me at all and I cateched good sleep

There is no lift ( due to conservation listing) so if you are not good on stairs ( spiral) then that may be an issue for you but the steps are not arduous

Access down to the river and bridges across to the PEST side of the city is either by walking down the many steps ( we did it and we are in our seventies!) or by public transport buses or by the castle shuttle buses or by the funicular railway
