Entry was a bit rundown and 2 flights of stairs to climb. Facilities clean and quiet. Shared bathroom and kitchen. Check-in instructions clear and easy to follow. Good location for shopping, restaurants and bus pickup.

Great spot in downtown Reykjavik. Bus stops just outside to get around the city, to/from the airport. Easy walk to the main city centre, waterfront, and more.

You just get a code to your room in a e-mail and that's all. Showers aren't very nice, they use geothermal water so it stinks like eggs. Breakfast is also alright, nothing special, but absolutely sufficient

Nice placement and average rooms. If you have social anxiety, this place is perfect for you, because you don't really have to talk to anyone. There's no one on the reception

While a bit cozy and squeaky in places, this was an affordable space for my family in the heart of Reykjavik - close to everything we wanted to see.

On the downside, it's all pretty basic and the owners aren't very responsive - I had to email on the day of arrival to beg for the door code that should have been emailed more than 24 hours ago and despite warning them first when I booked and then again when I asked for the code that I'd be arriving around 2am (having previously stayed here and knowing the system), my room card had been removed from...

The room size you have depends on the price you pay ours were suitable for our needs but didnt leave much room for space with luggage. The bathrooms were very clean. The location is very quiet and beautiful

This was a good place for us to crash for a night - however it was quite busy trying to use the kitchen, even later at night. So you have to be up for sharing

Not going to lie, this place looks like a dump from outside but don't let that fool you! The inside is modern and lovely. The kitchen was well equipped and the common area was very nice

I personally loved that we were able to socialize with other travellers. While the bathrooms are shared, there are many bathrooms and I actually think there may even be one bathroom per room

We never had to wait for the bathroom. It is outside of Vik but not far and helps to make this accomodation affordable. I would recommend South Iceland Guesthouse

Camped here in mid September and had a great experience. The facilities for the campground were excellent. It is in a beautiful location directly on the ocean. We were one of only 4 campers at the site

Damien and Oscar were lots of fun too! They were running the place when we went. They also had great lamb for dinner. It did cost close to $40 but there are restaurants within close proximity, about a 25-30min drive out

Beautiful location out in the western peninsula of Iceland. Nice big lobby with wifi, unfortunately wifi didn't reach the rooms but my friends and I hung out in the lobby/main hall anyways

Lovely little guesthouse, very close to the water side. Lots of windows in the rooms mean it's a great spot to spend the night if you're hoping to spot the Aurora Borealis.

We ended up drinking and playing card games with some of the other guests, and we all had a jolly good time! Got to meet new people which can always be fun in itself

We stayed the night in one of the cabins. The sights were breathtaking! The guesthouse was very clean and well organized. Wireless internet was a nice plus

The self-check-in was very convenient, the instructions were very clear, the location was very good, the room was very comfortable, but the kitchen was a little messy, but this was also caused by the tenants, they didn't clean it properly after use, but the kitchen utensils were complete, everything was available

The facilities at Hepburn Hotel are bright, simple and clean. The only downside is that there wasn't enough toilet paper. When we went to the bathroom the next morning, we found that all the toilet paper had been used up

It was probably because other guests took it to the kitchen and used it all up

The room was clean and the shared facilities were perfectly fine for our stay. The kitchen was very well equipped, which made things easy. It’s conveniently close to Netto supermarket, so grabbing essentials was simple

Stayed before. All good again. Other guests were respectful with noise and kept the shared kitchen and bathroom clean.

One thing to note: noise carries from the kitchen, so if you have noisy neighbors staying up late, you might hear everything. Overall, a good place for one night while passing through

The host is nice and the house is clean and comfortable to stay. Many of facilities are new, there is a big kitchen that you can cook on your own. It’s a warm place to stay when you travel in West of Iceland

Amazing cute little hotel in the Snaefellness peninsula. The location is amazing, close to the rocky coast edge and in the middle of a beautiful field. The rooms are plenty large, bathrooms renovated and updated

As a family of four the quad room was spacious and comfortable, the kitchen/lounge area was well equipped and comfortable. Siggi was a great host and went out of his way to help and give advice

We arrived at Oxl during some wild weather and it stayed that way for our stay, so it was a great comfort to have such a wonderful place to come back to at the end of each day

This is an ancient priests'house remodeled as a guest house. It is beautifully decorated and very quiet. It has a nice shared kitchen with free goods (oil salt rice tea coffee. ) Definitely worth the price ❤

Stayed here October 2018 it was a great experience nice kitchen, clean, very accommodating they even let us check in a little early because we had been up all night traveling to Iceland

No bad comments of this place. Clean, spacy, mixed rooms of cozy and spacy. Fully equiped kitchen*two, awesome bathrooms. Really classy in the home type of high end atmosthere

2 couples, one single room and shared toilet. We had a good night sleep, the place is quite and well positioned. It's possible to use the living rooms and the kitchen at the ground floor

The house has also a private parking lot, with two different entrances. In general a nice place where to stay

No bad place to lay your head twin beds were better then most places

Swimming pool not too small, but nice to splash around in, even for children it has extra toys! Mega!

Very nice location! Hammer island! Nice for a more hour walk! Whales 🐳 and other sea creatures can be spotted! Nice and tasty place near the port

The guesthouses were about five minutes to the airport/rental car drop-off locations and there were grocery stores/gas stations all in close vicinity. The room was extremely spacious, clean, and well-equipped

We loved how the room was decorated and the little touches and notes from Gudny were so welcoming! One of our favorites was the little handmade sheep that Gudny made and was selling in the accommodation

Gudney and her husband were wonderful hosts welcoming us into their guesthouse. The apartment is clean and comfortable. Really good value for your money! It’s close to the airport

We only got to stay here one night prior to our flight early the next morning but we absolutely fell in love with this stay

By far one of the nicest places we stayed at and we travel quite a bit

We took a hike up through the backyard to the alpine meadow where I sketched and admired. The private outdoor pool was amazing! A soothing temperature to swim a few short laps

The house includes a naturally heated swimming pool (+- 37°C) and a warmer natural hot tub (which is essentially a hole in the ground where a river provides a continuous flow of hot water) (+- 42°C)

The best of it is a swimming pool and a natural SPA of about 40 degrees

Wow! Oli is a welcoming host and the property is sweet, natural and lovely. Tucked at the end of the road and adorned with terns the home features a hot spring in the backyard with a true hot pot, over 100 F

We spent a night in this beautiful house . Hosts are really really nice. We played guitar and Yukulele with our host and his daughter. We recommend the home maid soup for a relax dinner.

I was a little worried because I thought it was someone's actual house but I was able to come and go as I pleased at all hours without fear of bothering anyone. It had the privacy of a hotel but the feeling of being home

Peter did everything he could to help me, I got a last minute room with no problems after missing a connecting flight. Peter also offers a shuttle from the airport cheaper than a taxi. Room was clean, tidy and quiet

Melur Guesthouse is not far from Leboskin café, Akrafjall and Akranes Lighthouse, and is on top of that the cheapest guesthouse in Akranes. Free breakfast and check-out at 12:00

The host, a typical Icelandic, is quite nice though i didn't talk much to him because I was exhausted after a long hike at Akrafjall

The outside is not flashy and teasing but the inside and the rooms are clean, nice and sober

It’s a kind of a normal hotel with all facilities. Rooms are good, clean. The lady receptionist present in the night schedule isn’t too friendly. Rest was all fine.

We had a great stay in this family run hotel. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and varied and we also enjoyed a simple 3 course dinner which we enjoyed

The girl (I do not know her name) who was in charge of the place was wonderfull. She helped us during all our stay and the plus was she speaks spanish. Thank you so much !

Cute place with lots of amenities. EV chargers and hot tub are nice bonuses. Views are pretty great too.

Please also note that the double economy room is quite cramped for two occupants and is more suitable for someone travelling solo; its double bed takes up most of the space and didn’t allow for much room for my boyfriend and I to move around without having to crawl over the bed

Hotel Kjarnalundur is located just eight minutes from downtown Akureyri and is located on the side of a mountain, which gives you a beautiful view of more mountains and the water below once you clear the dead spiders from your room window

They bent over backwards for us, had great recommendations, the best food we’ve had, and made us feel so at home. This place is a hidden gem and I hope many, many more people go and see them!

Arthur and Caroline were extremely welcoming and excellent hosts. If the weather had cooperated it would have been and excellent place to see the stars and perhaps the northern lights too.

There is no sitting room there so we met in the dining hall. I always opt for the pan fried cod when I travel domestically and this one was a bit of a disappointment. Served on top of a potato puree and rather bland

If you want to unplug from your busy life and reflect this is a wonderful place to do it. The Scenery is out of this world. The lodge offered a comfortable stay

One of the best campsites we visited in our tour around Iceland. There's a communal area with table games, a bar, a well fitted kitchen, two clean showers and toilets. 1500 isk per night and person with a campervan

This charming hotel, set in a building that was once a school, really impressed us with its history and character. The furniture is simple and a bit old, but everything is impeccably clean and very well maintained

I was able to download/play videos Neutral 3 showers and 2 bathrooms in the floor we stayed on (~10 rooms?) so you may have to wait in the busy hours in the morning and evening 2 cafes nearby, but both close early (4 pm and 6pm) Cons Room is small

Like another reviewer, we couldn't find a place in Vik to stay in the summer, and this was one of the few options available. We didn't have any issue with hot water, even during the night when the showers were busy

While location was perfect (bang next to Skogafoss), It was one of the most expensive stays we had in Iceland and the amenities were either at the same level or even lower than some of the other places we stayed

A really nice accomodation with comfortable and clean beds, nice rooms and good breakfast. The view is astonishing and there is even a private hot tub free to use right in front of our door

Absolutely everything about our stay at Stóru-Laugar was wonderful! We enjoyed chatting with our hosts and learning a bit about their farm life.

It's amazing here, the food is great here and the rooms are nicely decorated and there are 3 beds in the room and they are very comfy, there is a hot tub and it's out side , There is a little kitchen where you can make your own tea

This location was very quiet and the view was beautiful. The room was spacious and so clean. I was disappointed I could not spend another night and just take in the peacefulness of the surroundings.

When we arrived I accidentally booked a day late but the receptionist immediately helped me fix it and even though we were like 4 hours early for check in they let us into our room! We booked a double room but got a free-of-charge upgrade

On my very first day, I bought a pizza without realizing there wasn’t actually an oven 😅 Instead of letting me feel awkward or disappointed, the person at reception immediately noticed and kindly showed me an alternative way to sort it out
