Hotel Klein Wien in Piano di Sorrento

Shocking! Firstly, the food was a disgrace. We had a large group of children with us and often we would have to go out to source our own food after the disappointment of an uneaten dinner. If you are trying to eat healthily forget it! Breakfast was better but still poor. The rooms were very low budget and the bed cover had a horrible unwashed smell. The TV didn't work, the shower door was broken and mouldy. The shower head was broken and you had to run round to get wet in the shower cubicle. 4 star it isn't and is in desperate need of a refurbishment.

to be used only in extreme cases, not for couples, a real shame because the location is wonderful. There is no parking, the property is completely empty

The hotel it should be under big renovations and remodel but it is not. This what I do remodeling and hospitality the hotel is Super super outdated, my room had a really nice view looking out. But that was it, walls, bathroom, super small shower enclosure, 2x2Ft the TV was a computer screen small one on the wall. No other channels other than italians shows.
Hot water was good and water pressure too. I had the breakfast included and one day was buffet style and the other two days at a restaurant downstairs owned by same family, but it was not buffet, no eggs no bacon no bread and butter with jelly, not consistent, that is no good,
Reception is on the 5th floor. If you are going with a car, good luck finding parking space. And you have to pay 10euros a day if you park on the blue and not on the yellow but white is free but only some days . Don’t go with a car. The daughter of the owner and the mom they were really nice but the reallity is that the hotel needs a lot of fixing and cleaning, too much rust and old furniture from the 70s or something elevator super small too. I guess that is how it is in that area, and maybe a more expensive hotel would have different facilities. I don’t know I thought that it was in Sorrento and is not, my error, Piano di Sorrento is about 15 by car from Sorrento, but is far enough to make a difference. I am trying to be nice because the people working there are very nice but I want to help someone to make the right decision based on the truth.
