Hotel Britannia in Sorrento

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here at the hotel. From the moment we walked through the door , we received a a warm welcome from Stefano accompanied by a refreshing Limoncello sorbet shot. Wow.

The facilities of the hotel are good and its location is great. We utilised the bus services as the bus stop is just outside with the Number 8 bus for two Euros, but you can easily walk in the city centre too if you feel fit enough.

We enjoyed the buffet breakfast downstairs to the spa on the roof with spectacular views of the ocean and coastline. The rooms and ensuites are adequate and everything is very clean.

The staff are friendly and courteous with tips of where to go to explore if you are interested.

The hotel was very nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. It is a bit of a walk from the main part of sorrento (10-15mins) but worth it for the views. The room was very nice and loved the balcony and the rooftop patio and terrace. The staff at the front desk was very friendly too

Writing in context of a 3* hotel. The service was amazing from start to finish. Very friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms and bathroom were spotlessly clean. I knocked one star off because for a room that can sleep three, there is inadequate storage especially for a stay or a week or more, and, the walls are a tad thin and we were unlucky to have snorers next door. The breakfast was more than adequate with a range of choices to suit most needs. I am gluten sensitive and managed to enjoy tomatoes, cucumber, frankfurter, bacon, cold meats, cheese and egg. I am reliably told the pastries and cake are excellent . The lady making fresh coffee is a master of her art and super nice. If you are able bodies then it is a 22 minute downhill walk to the town. Or, you can pay 2 euros for the number 8 bus that runs every 20 mins from right outside the hotel.
Hot(warm) tub on the roof terrace was spectacular. Views were amazing. Just misses the sunset due to location but am excellent place for your coffee or evening drinks from the bar or that you bought in the local supermarket.

This hotel is a gem. Located walking distance to everything, yet off the beaten path. The hospitality was fabulous. I can't say enough amazing things about the staff. They were so helpful from beginning to end!! I would very highly recommend this hotel to anyone that wants to stay in the area. Truly grateful for the experience there

We had the most amazing experience at Hotel Britannia in Sorrento, it felt like a dream!
From the very first moment, Stefano and Giuseppe, the wonderful owners, made us feel like part of the family. They were always cheerful, welcoming, and ready to suggest us amazing boat tours, making our stay truly unforgettable.

The hotel itself is stunning, recently renovated with incredible taste, full of beautiful plants and the fresh scent of flowers everywhere. It’s the perfect mix of style, comfort, and charm.
Breakfast was amazing every morning, with fresh homemade products and delicious cakes that we absolutely loved. The gym is very well equipped for a holiday workout.

And then there’s the terrace… absolutely breathtaking! A huge jacuzzi overlooking the sea with an incredible view of the Vesuvius, the perfect spot to relax and take in the beauty of Sorrento.

We would 100% recommend Britannia to anyone visiting Sorrento. Thank you Stefano and Giuseppe for making this trip so special, can’t wait to come back!

Dont go anywhere else. Only at hotel Britannia. Marvellous building, in a very good point, clean bedrooms, very good breakfast, great view to the sea. Everybody kind always with a big smile and very helpfull. And above all Mr. Stefanos is the best owner ive ever met!!! Hoping see you again

Nice hotel. Basic but for the money in the area was worth it. Slight walk out of town but there is a bus stop literally outside the front door. No pool though.
