Hotel Del Mare in Sorrento

Don’t come here.
We got upgraded to a room on the 2nd floor and it was terrible. For those work or take electronics along there’s only 1 outlet in the entire room far away from the bed and a tiny safe to store them in. The first night there was some fishermen festival where they lit fireworks through the night and day…. We were not informed… when we complained about it they were very rude and not understanding at all.
You can hear absolutely everything, everyone walking, talking etc. 24/7 very clearly- I’m not a light sleeper but I couldn’t sleep at all. To change the air conditioning temperature you need to call the reception which is very strange.
Breakfast is basic yet still manage to make it taste terrible. Eggs and especially the Coffee is not drinkable, fruits are all not ripe, the pastries were ok but their selection of breakfast is truly ridiculous for the area and price, plus you’re sitting in the cold stuffy dirty basement. The beach they mention is a small space on the marina grande where you can barely swim because there’s a small section separating you from all the boats. We read that parking was 15€/day but we were told it was suddenly 20€ instead. The only good thing is the area- it was a 10 min uphill walk to the city center.
