Hotels near sea shore in Sorrento

I understand the hotel can't control the guests but it is nearly impossible to get some rest. If you are a sound sleeper and want to be away from crowded streets, you'll enjoy this place

There is a bus service to the heart of Sorrento which only costs a Euro each and the bus stop is around the corner. All in all, an excellent hotel

A great location, with attentive staff, clean, with a good breakfast. Rooms are small but manageable. The only challenge we had at the hotel is the noise

Hotel is 3 stars due to lack of pool and entertainment servicing. Rooms are small however the front desk service was excellent. Breakfast is coffee, delicious pastry’s and yogurt

From the moment we arrived, everything was seamless – the check-in was quick, the room was spotless and beautifully maintained, and the atmosphere was peaceful and welcoming

The location is about 15 min from city center - but the small fishing enclave and beach is wonderful all on its own

Excellent location, great service, friendly & attentive staff! Room was clean, AC worked great, and the bed was comfortable. Loved the balcony! Breakfast was also good with many different options available

One night we wanted to grab a bottle of wine, some cheese and charcuterie. We wandered down to where breakfast was served (obviously it was evening so no one was there) and we were looking for glasses, plates, etc

The tail end of our trip was a 3 night stay in Sorrento. What made the Hotel Mignon Meublè so wonderful was the staff. Carla and Egidio at the front desk were absolutely amazing

There are a set of stairs from the lobby to the second floor where the elevator is, so if you have heavy luggage, be warned, you will need to take your bags up the stairs

We had mentioned we were leaving at 7 am heading to Amalfi and Positano but breakfast wasn’t served until 7:30. They told us to come down and grab some items to go

Local attractions & sights were within walking distance. Great restaurants, shopping & a supermarket right next door. We loved our stay here & would stay again!

The room was a bright blue, almost like being at the sea. The bedding was also very comfortable, making it the best sleep I had during my visit to Naples. The hotel staff was well-trained and professional

The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minutes from the pier, station, and restaurant. You can see the sea view from the window, the breakfast is rich, and the front desk is very friendly

The terrace is the absolute highlight! The view from the position is Wow! The staff are all very friendly and really take the time to give advice to those who are new to Sorrento, they have us really heartfelt and clear advice as in sightseeing tips or restaurant recommendations

Location: Excellent location in the heart of Sorrento, less than 100 meters from the iconic Cliff Road plaza and close to the train station. Cleanliness: Clean and tidy. Service: Friendly staff offering travel advice.

Location is great - 1min walk to the main square. Room was clean and modern. Breakfasts were very good - eggs, ham, mozzarella, lots of pastries and freshly brewed coffee. Definitely recommend!

Location is great, right next to piazza tasso, and there’s taxi stop in the front. The room is equipped with modern design, keeping classic furniture which is very cute and authentic

For anyone curious: room 1 is on the right (east?) side of the building facing the sea so I imagine room 2 has even better views

Clean, and the host was very helpful and responsive. Good location to water beach and restaurants and short walking to shopping. Bring good walking shoes when coming to Italy. Trip to Capri is also recommended

Disliked · These things did not bother me but some travelers should keep in mind: many many flights of stairs; somewhat confusing stairwell even with helpful manager video; 15-20 min walking distance from the city center is not to be trifled with if you think you'll be easily tired; and the property is a simple bedroom with no real additional space

Loved the property! The manager was incredibly patient and easy to contact, sent easy-to-understand self-check-in instructions in advance, and helped me a lot (transit tips and when I left my phone in a taxi eek!)

The location in the Marina Grande is very unique with steeped buildings around you and a walking corridor right below your patio

Again, not a problem for me but I want to emphasize for other travelers!

We love the hotel. It's like a home. It was clean and comfortable. But what we love most about it is the location. It is convenient. Shops and restaurants just outside the hotel. We will stay in this hotel again.

We used the laundry service (10€ to do your own laundry), which was must needed but if another guest is doing laundry before you, you’re dependent on them remembering to move from washer to dryer/take clothes out of dryer in a timely manner

The room was big and had high ceilings. We had plenty of space for our luggages. Bed was comfortable and we had very good sleep. They were able to check us in early and that was great since we came from Rome

While spending 2 weeks in Italy, this was the best hotel we stayed at compared to the ones in Florence and Rome. It is quaint and cozy, the staff know who you are and are like family while you’re there

The hotel is on one of the main streets in Sorrento (no cars allowed, so you have to walk a few hundred feet to get a taxi. There is noise from the street but a closed window mostly mutes it out

Very centrally located to shops, restaurants, and about half mile to where you can see the water (longer if you want to actually go down to the water). The only negative is the thin walls

We loved our stay at Hotel Spicy! The staff are friendly, the breakfast was amazing (the cake selection was very impressive, and the zucchini quiche very tasty)

It is only a 15 min walk to the beach, lagoon and stunning views from the rocks! Managers were willing to help all the time, described how to get to different places around

Incredibly high-standrds for reception-services. Immaculate house-keeping and breakfast. A serious, lost property case was dealt with the utmost professionalism. Next to great dining, wine and markets

We didn't fancy the walk into town as the road is busy but we did see quite a few people walking it. But the bus is so easy that it really didn't make any difference

We loved our stay at Hotel Spicy! The staff was friendly and helpful, the hotel was in a fabulous location. We would stay here again in the future!

We used the campsite down the road alot, they have a shop and a lovely restaurant plus the bus runs into town every half hour and is only 2 euros

The hotel is well updated and had good service. There is a decent breakfast buffet in the restaurant with a great view. We didn’t get to use the rooftop pool as it was too cold when we were there but it looked very nice

Breakfast was lovely and a good variant of food/drink. We stayed a whole day just on the roof top pool lounging and sunbathing all day and the waiters come to you to bring you drinks and snacks, was perfect

It had all the amenities and it was super clean! The view from the rooftop pool and restaurant was great! The only tiny issue is that there is no bathroom fan. Great place to stay in Sorrento

Clean, good amenities, central. Staff are pleasant and very helpful. Lots of positives - wonderful restaurant - great choice of breakfast, freshly cooked evening meal. Reception staff always ready to help and advise

We came with our two years old son - on check in they gave him a small toy and on the day our son had a birthday they've had a cake made especially for him without us even asking

A balcony room with a view is an additional 30 euros per night paid at the hotel reception desk so you need to contact them before you arrive to book this type of room

I would stay here again based on the location, cleanliness, and views from the room. The man at the desk in the evenings was a little rude and dismissed our concerns about the phone not working and wouldn’t check it

We were caught off guard by the AC not working and were told it was turned off for the whole building (although when we booked it stated AC was available) and after some research did see that its turned off for the season

Clean comfortable hotel in very convenient location,fantastic views from rooftop bar area, great breakfast and great value. No kettle in room for tea coffee was a mild disappointment, overall I'd highly recommend.

We walked three blocks to the train station for our side trips to Pompeii and Herculaneum. (take the express train!) There are lots of dining options in the immediate area, and groceries, too

The room was clean, spacious and comfortable. We had a balcony and were able to leave the windows open because the area is really quiet

Our first room was one of the amazing corner ones with a seaview. The view is spectacular, over the bay of Naples and Vesuvius

It's a pity that we can't book a room with a view of the sea, but the view from the Rooftop bar and restaurant is really amazing

Chiara was very friendly at check in and then an older gentleman at breakfast was very courteous each morning. The breakfast was great in comparison to most inclusive breakfasts. The room had an amazing view of the gulf.

The hotel is in a good location, in walking distance to great restaurants, many shops, near the sea front and about a 10 minute walk to the train station which will get you to places like Naples and Pompei

Exemplary resort visit I thought this place was great! private beach with elevator to the bottom, food was good, service always friendly, close enough to walk into the action of downtown but far enough not to get hassled by it

The hotel has its own private beach, which was so convenient and relaxing. Be prepared to walk at least 20 minutes into town on a hill

We loved La Tonnarella and plan to return. The staff was kind and helpful. The restaurant, beach, and the view were incredible.

One of the best hotels we have ever had the pleasure of staying. We had a spacious corner room with a huge balcony. The staff were amazing, pleasant, and thoughtful. The food in the restaurant was excellent

The views, the room, the balcony, the breakfast & the staff were all wonderful. This was a great quiet place for us to stay in Sorrento and take a tour to Amalfi, Positano, & Ravello

Clean rooms, comfortable beds, delicious breakfast, and pool on the terrace is a great option to cool off after long day of activities. Restaurant just north of the hotel, along the wall, has a wonderful food choices

Single bed had far too many blankets and pillows on it, almost like it wasn’t made up properly Location was perfect for sorrento town centre as well as the train station Beds were comfortable Room was a little noisy (114) given that it was above a restaurant and there was some party/street noise on the Friday night which disturbed our sleep Bathroom had awkwardly placed window in the shower...

We had such a lovely stay at Hotel Palazzo Guardati! The hotel is beautiful, with a stunning terrace and pool area that really made our time in Sorrento special

The pool is tiny but it works for a quick cool dip. The hotel’s location is so central to the main area of town for tourists. The only thing that keeps us from rating this as 5 stars is the noise

Pepe, who worked on the terrace, was amazing – so attentive, kind, and always making sure everyone was looked after. Our room was gorgeous with a fantastic bathroom, and honestly there was nothing to fault

This hotel is a little gem in Sorrento. It's hidden on the side street next to the main square. The rooms are big and comfortable. The place is close to shopping, dinning and entertainment

Just arrived home after a short stay at this hotel, couldn't fault it the staff some of the best we have encountered on our stays in hotels were delightful very attentive nothing to much trouble

Hotel itself was spotlessly clean and comfortable we had a Seaview stunning views of Vesuvius and the Bay of Naples. Yes it was on a busy road at times but no problem at bedtime

We had a room with sea view which was lovely. The bed was large and very comfortable with plenty of pillows and spare blankets provided

Beautiful sea views. Well placed for getting around Sorrento. Only negative I would say is the swimming pool is extremely deep! 3.1m in the deep end. Be wary if not a strong swimmer

Clean hotel, reception staff were great, rooms clean but lacking tea/coffee making facilities. Generally very quiet and relaxing hotel. Bit of a trek back up the hill from the beach. Would recommend it overall

Waiting for the bus, which is VERY close to the hotel, but a little scary, is a plus. Everyone was just wonderful and helpful for reserving taxis too

Wonderful views from pretty much every part of the hotel, gorgeous small swimming pool, and lovely terraced gardens with lots of places to relax in sunshine or shade! You have all the benefits of being about 20mins’ walk from the bustle and great cafes/restaurants/shops of Sorrento but in a gloriously peaceful location

There is a walking path that leads directly into the town center—ask about it at reception. The hotel is located on top of a mountain/cliff, which can sometimes be a challenge for people with limited mobility

The outdoor bar and pool are beautiful—what a view! Everything is perfectly maintained and clean. The rooms are lovely and efficiently laid out. The beds are made daily and refreshed when needed

It’s a family-run hotel, which means the service is both efficient and warm. The bathroom lighting suddenly stopped working one morning, and after reporting it to reception, it was repaired the very same day

Solid breakfast - loved that they had a refrigerator to keep items cold and a warmer to keep the coissants warm and fresh! We were able to use the path beside the hotel to walk down to town

We had so many plans as to what we would do with our time in Sorrento, but the villa was just so beautiful we ended up ditching half of them so we could spend more time by the pool, just taking in the wonderful atmosphere

This hotel was outstanding; beautiful, peaceful and luxurious! Staff member Teresa went above and beyond all expectations to guarantee we were comfortable and to arrange all of our dinner reservations and transportation - she was beyond wonderful!

From the moment we were greeted by Angelo (with glasses of chilled champagne on our beautiful private terrace) to the moment we left (Lina and Rosario having a very early start to give us a full breakfast, despite us saying a coffee and croissant would be fine at 06

Although we were unable to check into the hotel due to temporary renovations, the owner kindly arranged a five-star hotel suite in downtown Sorrento for us. Our travel experience in Southern Italy was excellent

We felt like at home in a huge park full of lemon trees, olive trees and many other species and we were lucky to stay with our 2 girls in the biggest suite with a breathtaking view on Naples bay and Vesuvio

They treated us so well, had great conversations and suggestions on sights to see, things to do and places to eat. We stayed here for the last leg of our honeymoon, and this place made it the best leg

The lady we met at reception was lovely and helpful, we loved our upgrade the rooms were beautiful. In walking distance to centre. Would recommend this hotel.

The room was clean, the hotel is away from busy streets so not much road noise. 15-20 minute walk from main town square so great location

The staff were very helpful and polite, parking was free and easy and safe away from the road. We would definitely recommend and would return to the hotel for future stays

Pool area was a nice and relaxating environmental and well maintained with a little pool bar on entrance. The only downside about our stay was the amount of mosquitos, but that cannot be helped

If you want a relaxed holiday with a warm friendly welcome ,set away from the main hustle and bustle but within a short walking distance of the main square in Sorrento, then this place is for you! Set in a mix of Olive, Lemon and Lime trees, Villagio Verde is a little gem

They showed us to our chalet, showed us around the site and helped us book our tickets to local attractions as well as any trips we wanted to go on at a much cheaper rate than the holiday companies were offering

The chalets are simple, yet clean and tidy and are cleaned daily for you. Any problems are dealt with very quickly with little to no fuss

This is a family owned property and they have great pride in making you feel welcome and making your stay the best it can possibly be

My family and I really enjoyed our stay here at the hotel. From the moment we walked through the door , we received a a warm welcome from Stefano accompanied by a refreshing Limoncello sorbet shot

I knocked one star off because for a room that can sleep three, there is inadequate storage especially for a stay or a week or more, and, the walls are a tad thin and we were unlucky to have snorers next door

We had the most amazing experience at Hotel Britannia in Sorrento, it felt like a dream! From the very first moment, Stefano and Giuseppe, the wonderful owners, made us feel like part of the family

I am reliably told the pastries and cake are excellent. The lady making fresh coffee is a master of her art and super nice. If you are able bodies then it is a 22 minute downhill walk to the town

The breakfast was more than adequate with a range of choices to suit most needs. I am gluten sensitive and managed to enjoy tomatoes, cucumber, frankfurter, bacon, cold meats, cheese and egg

The staff are friendly and courteous with tips of where to go to explore if you are interested. We all enjoyed our stay at Hotel Britannia in Sorrento and really happy chose to stay here
