Hotel Edelhof is a cozy, warm place to enjoy outdoor recreation such as bicycling and snow skiing in the Julian Alps region of Italy. We were there to bicycle on the paved Alpe Adria Cycle Route. Onwers Diego and Erika hosted our group with breakfast and dinner, replete with traditional foods.We enjoyed our stay.

We stayed at this quaint hotel during a cycling trip and it was such a gem. The rooms are rustic, roomy and extremely clean. Bed was super comfortable and nice little extras really made our stay fantastic. We also ate at the restaurant on the main floor and the food was amazing. Highly recommend the hotel and the onsite restaurant.

Had a great stay here. All staff was very nice and approachable, room was spacious and nicely decorated, we even had a huge balcony with the view. Food was also great, a really rich breakfast (included), and the a la carte menu for dinner was top notch. Location is perfect for all you can need in the area. Absolutely would recommend.

Words are not enough to describe this place . It's not just a hotel for me it's a life experience. I can explain that kind of calmness , hospitality , cleanliness that Edelhof offers. The view and the fact that most things were made out of wood very well preserved give Edelhof a very beautiful, special and cozy vibe which is so unique to found. Honestly, we were disappointed. The room was clean but small and the bathroom desperately needs to be updated. The toilet was broken in the first room we were given and the shower was broken in the second room. We parked our car in the garage and the grating over the drain damaged our car. Breakfast was great but overall, not worth the money.

This place is ok for the day or two but no more then that. And I don't agree that it is 4 star hotel. Staff is wonderful and they deserve 5 star for sure. Very nice lobby but rooms..I mean they were clean, air conditioning is working like tractor 😂, but there was something off...I don't know what...but something.. Location is ok but it's up the hill so prepare for that and it's up the hill!

The hotel is in a very quiet and peaceful place. It is quite a long walk from the port: 30-40 minutes, and you need to take into account that you will have to walk uphill (it is very difficult with suitcases). But at the same time, the walking path to the hotel from the center / from the port can pass through the main attractions of Trieste (the Fortress, the Roman arch, the Roman theater, the church...

Ryanair booked this for a large group of us after flight cancellations. Room and amenities were decent with breakfast and staff were happy to assist us with queries and booking transport. As ryanair footed the bill I can't comment on the value for money. Breakfast in photo.

Good location for getting to our cruise.

I got bitten in several places on my arms by some unknown insects. Scratches so much due to its very itchy bites.

Close to transport and very clean. The room was a good size, clean and the bed comfortable, however the bathroom had no window and the smell was rank. Also if you expect to sleep soundly forget it as it is a multi story building complex that is very noisy. People are coming and going all hours of the night and the keys don’t fit the lock therefore someone’s was knocking on the door at midnight trying...

Nice Hotel in Trieste,close to the station. Nice breakfast and nice view from the room,in front of Music Conservatorio.

Only stayed one night in between bus journeys.. Closeness to bus station was a big plus. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was ok given price and bathroom was very modern. Fridge with locking door was inconvenient but worked. No tea/coffee making equipment was provided.

The reception staff were very polite and friendly, which is perhaps a common trait among Italians, but it's truly a remarkable quality. As someone who will be pursuing my PhD at Udine soon, I would highly recommend this hotel to any friends who visit me in the future.

The hotel is seasoned, the shower leaks on the floor, the shower tap is whistling even when not used. The hotel is a little bit away from the city center, so you have the opportunity to make nice walks. The staff is friendly. The breakfast was good.

This is a small family hotel of some 30 rooms, most with balcony, located a few hundred metres from the town centre and walking distance from the paying beach nearby. The hotel offers reliable wifi, a small refrigerator, and air conditioning. The rooms are somewhat dated and fairly basic, and there are some minor maintenance issues – the basin was partly blocked, the toilet flush tended to get stuck...

Excellent family holiday with kids and dogs, in a good location (the beach is one street away). Amazing owners and staff. Pool and nice bar, the rooms are comfortable. Wide selections of breakfast, and the menu at the restaurant is fenomenal, specially that they are serving gluten free food if you ask. We are coming back every summer. Thank you guys.

Have searched a while for a hotel to stay in Lignano and I don't regret my decision at all. The hotel is modern, the rooms are everything you'd expect and all the staff is super nice. It's close to the beach and to the promenade in the center of Pinetta. I enjoyed my holidays a lot here and will return as soon as possible.

Stayed 23-25 August 2026. We had a lovely time in this B&B. After 25 hours of travelling the room was a welcome reprieve. Sadly, I left what I thought was a fair review on booking.com (9/10 because 10/10 feels fake unless it really is extraordinary service) and the owner felt it was appropriate to send me a WhatsApp message complaining about it. Unprofessional. Not only that, its made me quite unhappy...

Excellent central position but not so clean. We've stayed five days and they've never cleaned neither our bedroom nor the bathroom. Sheets not fresh. If the owners pay more attention to these details, it could be much better.

The food is amazing, the breakfast is plentiful and has a good variety, the servers are all smiles and good mood. The pool is also a blast, squeaky clean, good temperature and is of adequate depth. The rooms are a bit dated, but who cares, you're at the beach anyways.

Well, now I feel at home. But you immediately feel in a welcoming environment, from the first time. Seafront, wonderful view, swimming pools and well-kept locations. Fantastic food. Piazza Unità d'Italia is probably the most beautiful square with seaview in the world and this 5star is just there. So yes rooms are small as is the lobby and the breakfast area but just read the plate by the entrance and you will walk in just as emperors or Giacomo Casanova did. Well, scrambled eggs are just an omelette and there's no cruncy bacon but the rest is very good so enjoy Trieste, please

The property is nice and very well located. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only problem is checking in, it is a huge pain in the neck. They don't allow in person check in and require everything on a cell phone. Even doing it on a computer is not easy.

Very pleasant experience! The hotel is close to the beach and the pedestrian street. We caught bad weather for swimming in the sea, but we didn't get bored at all, we drove 11 minutes by car to the zoo, 1 hour by car to the aquarium. plus clifftop walks, pedestrian paths. absolutely everything was wonderful. The rooms are very clean, the staff is 10. They are very nice, especially with children. ❤

Had a great week here, lounged by the hotel pool the entire week. Always free sunbeds so no rush to get one in the morning, and a hot tip that i think the hotel should advertise better is that you can order drinks, toast and pizza straight to your sunbed by the pool. Rooms very perfectly cleaned every day by the very efficient cleaning staff.

Very nice big rooms, the balcony wrapped around the whole room and I loved people watching from it. The pool and the terrace bar were lovely with 360 degree views overlooking the sea and Grado. The breakfast buffet was also good, super choice of pastries, meats and cheeses too. The coffee was the best.

It's a very stylish hotel. However, I made a big mistake because I didn't expect there to be a bathtub in a 4-star hotel... The small shower booth had no door or step, and it was cold so I didn't use it because I was afraid I would catch a cold. The room was very spacious but had no windows. The good points were the convenient location, the staff, and the breakfast.

Villa D’Este is a ‘must visit’ hotel in the Italian lake’s region. The public zones of the hotel are very beautiful as well as the gardens. However, the restaurants and the rooms (junior suite) are slightly disappointing.

Very well equipped apartments, very friendly and helpfull staff, very nice cleaning service, bikes available for easy reaching beautifull city center or beach, next to very good restaurant and grocery store. We would recommend wirh pleasure! 👍

Parking slot at the hotel cannot be reserved and you need to drive around the area to park your car. Furniture is extremely outdated. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything: conversations, the toilet flushing next door, and from the floor above... Area is good but it's a longer walk to downtown. Breakfast is ok but that's Italy: I would be fine without breakfast and rather do not...

We had a tremendous experience here. Spotlessly clean. Great Breakfast. Will definitely be back. Spacious room. 2 Adults 2 teenagers in bunk beds. My son is very tall and had adequate space. Couldn't ask for more. Nice small family hotel. We parked 100M away and left it for the entire weekend. We just used the free bikes to get around. And oh yeh Great value too.

Even though the hotel is on the road, it is quiet at night. Breakfast and service there are good and quite rich. Unfortunately the air conditioning didn't work, I missed the clothes drying rack and the fridge.

Had a great stay at Hotel Irene! The mattress was very comfortable, and I slept well. The room had air conditioning and a fridge, which were both convenient. It was a bit small, but perfectly fine for a one-day stay. Breakfast had a decent selection to start the day. I just loved staying at Hotel Irene. The hotel is very clean, breakfast was delicious, staff was great. The beach was at 10-15 min by foot and we had free bycicles to reach if we wanted a far away beach. Our loved doggy was welcomed here. The staff was wonderful and helpful.
