Villa D’Este is a ‘must visit’ hotel in the Italian lake’s region. The public zones of the hotel are very beautiful as well as the gardens. However, the restaurants and the rooms (junior suite) are slightly disappointing.

Perfect location, close to center, but quiet enough. We had two bed apartment, really large bed, big rooms, clean Service was great, everyone helpful, there is option for public parking reduced cost while you stay.

We travelled through Italy for 3 weeks, often doing only 1-night stays, and this was one of our favourites. The apartment was clean and spacious, it was in a beautiful older building, had a well-equipped kitchen, washer and drier, etc. The location is excellent, so we were able to walk to all the sites. We would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in Palazzo Talenti as a family with a young kid. The room was very clean with all the amenities one can need. The staff was very helpful. The location is near the main centre. It was easy to walk around the town and to explore Trieste by walking or on public transport.

We spent already 3rd vacation in this hotel with our three children. The rooms are simply, clean. The breakfast is very good, the caffe is Illy. The parking place is ca. 500m far from the hotel. I don't know why but our car is exactly same clean in the end as in the beginning. I am very satisfied :)

For us it was perfectly fine. The room was climatized and clean. The downtown was really close. The crew was freindly and helpful.

We stayed here for three days at the beginning and end of a cycling event. The family that run this and staff are very welcoming and accommodating. The rooms are quirky with different furniture in each. The breakfast selection is fantastic. If you intend to do some cycling this is a great choice as they also have a garage to store the bikes and their own to hire. I would definitely go back.

Lovely hotel in a stunning area, we stayed one night on a cycle trip. Very friendly service, the reception staff were genuinely kind and funny. They have a bike room around the back of the hotel, at the parking entrance. We stored our ebikes there safely overnight. Location is great, very close to many cafes and restaurants. We didn't eat here so I can't comment on the food.

As a camp participant, I was truly impressed by the hotel. Everything was beautiful, very clean, and well maintained, and the rooms were of a high standard. The location is excellent and very close to the ski slopes, which is a huge advantage. I would happily come back here again, this time with my family.

Stayed here only for one night but my stay was really positive. Air conditioned room with cozy bed and everything you need. It is a family business and the owner was the nicest man on the planet. I left my bag at a nearby restaurant and the next day he called the restaurant, ringed the bell and called every contact he could know just to get my bag back and he did it. Defintely 5 stars!

Sadly, I left what I thought was a fair review on booking.com (9/10 because 10/10 feels fake unless it really is extraordinary service) and the owner felt it was appropriate to send me a WhatsApp message complaining about it. Excellent central position but not so clean. We've stayed five days and they've never cleaned neither our bedroom nor the bathroom. Sheets not fresh. If the owners pay more attention to these details, it could be much better.
