The room was facing a square ( Piazza ) way too noisy. We couldn't sleep until 2 am

The hotel is like in a movie, a historical building, beautiful design, everything has a high-class feeling. The room was small but comfortable. Convenient bathroom. There is parking, easy to get to. We appreciated the helpfulness of staff when we had booking issues. They worked hard to accommodate our family of 6 on a very difficult night (new years eve). One of the most beautiful hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Do yourself a favor and get a room with a balcony, the view is incredible. The include breakfast buffet has everything (even for picky American eaters like my spouse) and it’s around the corner from the main shopping street in sorrento with all the stores and restaurants. From the minute we arrived we were SO well looked after. Everyone says ‘Buongiorno’ when they see you at reception, breakfast etc etc So happy and friendly. We used the shuttle bus to Taormina (€5 euro per person each way) which was fantastic and very friendly drop off and collection times. The room is quite big. It takes 10 minutes to get to Marco Polo Airport. The hotel has a shuttle service, but it does not cover the whole day. It costs 10 euros per person. The hair dryer is very dirty. I suggest the hotel change it. The breakfast is very average.

The hotel is in a decent location not far from Trastevere. I got an older room clearly not like the ones the hotel is promoting. It had a small kitchen. But had nothing for it, not even some utensils. The room was big but dated. Wouldn’t mind staying again. My room was by the road and was a bit noisy at times from the road.

The rooms on the top floor of the building appear to have been created following an expansion that wasn't very ergonomically successful. Routine maintenance work is rough, with obvious paint chips and smudges. The room was quite dirty, especially under the bed and on the floor. The electrical system needs updating.

The staff were lovely and the family room was fantastic for travelling with two toddlers. All the major sites were really easily accessible from the bus stop nearby and there was a great supermarket just around the corner. I would definitely stay at Hotel Ripa again.

Nice hotel with a modern vibe. Good breakfast. If you’re looking for a crash pad in a good area then stay here. The staff couldn’t care less if you’re staying there. They don’t even bother with a greeting, let alone a smile. It’s quite bemusing as I live in Europe and travel a lot, especially to Italy.

Everything else is good except the parking issue. Advertised as free parking but has only a handful of parking spaces available whilst there is a huge parking lot that is paid parking. Collecting my checked-in from the locker room takes a century because there is only one person manning the front desk who also handles guests' luggage.

Food not great, the pool is far from ideal and the rooms on the ground floor are a night mare as you can hear everything happening in the corridor / other rooms. To give the overall fair view, beds are very comfortable, the staff is very helpful and the airport is very close (Linate).

I looked at a bunch of hotels in Milan for New Year's Eve, and this one has a great location. Even though the hotel is a bit older, the service was really good, and the breakfast was delicious, definitely catering to Chinese tastes.

Such a lovely place sadly with so many problems. Ideal for families who speak french or Italian. If you are a single couple speaking English expect a loud experience and very little help from the staff. The rooms and the premise are otherwise great. Breakfast is also good.
