I had such a wonderful stay at The Spanish Suite and honestly couldn’t recommend it enough. The room was spotless and so well maintained, and the location is unbeatable - just an easy walk to the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, with so many great restaurants right nearby. As a solo traveller, I felt very safe in the area, which is a must for me.

The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, always quick to respond to any questions and happy to share great local recommendations. I loved it so much that I actually ended up booking an extra two nights!

Special shout out to Veronica, who truly went above and beyond to make my stay amazing. Her kindness and attention to detail really stood out and made me feel so welcome. I would absolutely stay here again without hesitation!

First off all I would say that the rooms are cute, mostly I’ve been outside for exploring the city but I was coming back to the room with pleasure knowing that there is an warm AC, shared zone where I could drink hot coffee and tea. Very nice place especially for those who like shopping bcs it’s located 1 minute away from famous Via Del Corso, which is well decorated for Christmas holidays. That why I choose it and it really worth it. Thanx Sarah for her assistance and immediate replies on WhatsApp. Very kind person.

When we just arrived we get lost a little bit at the beginning, but then we found a front desk just a next door from the via Ripetta 66. Anyway once you are there you will find it easily. Anita were there to make us check-in. It was a pleasure to stay in this palace, and we liked to walk every end of the evening to the Ripetta Bar and Piazza del popolo. Really cool places. Thnx for everything!

we werent meant to stay here but a day before travel we were told that we had been moved to the Spanish Suites. From arrival we knew things were not going to be good. No signage for the rooms and basically left walking around in the foyer. 10 minutes later we were greeted by staff and told to go to the first floor via the lift. Let me tell you it was not meant for people only luggage but she assured us it was ok to use. My husband tore his jacket on a piece of metal sticking out. we were shown to our room. It was like a cell. All concrete not one picture, no nothing. It was street facing and the noise coming from the cars on the cobbles was another level. we were opposite a college so 730 things got busy and noisy and 2 doors down there were building works going on. there was no mini bar, no mattress or pillow case protectors and the bed actually had a hump in the middle where it had been over used. the bathroom was super grimy and the wood work was mouldy. there was a random glass beaker in there and 2 more odd glasses in the bedroom. we had only 3 hangers. the tv sat wonky on the wall and we were afraid that it would fall of the wall at one point. we were meant to be given a breakfast token but nothing was forthcoming. there was a tea and coffee making facility in the hall but with no kettle, milk or cups it was impossible. we were there celebrating our silver wedding anniversary and fortunately not in the room much. the rest of our party arrived on wednesday and we requested a twin room which we did not get. they received breakfast vouchers even though we were the lead name!! the only positive was that the hotel was central. sorry i cant think of anything else good to say.

The property is not a hotel but a bnb that offers breakfast but many options for breakfast near the hotel. It is very unique and most Americans would consider it dirty but it really isn't. It truly was a great location for sightseeing and dining options were abundant. If you can overlook a few things we truly enjoyed our stay.

Data-saving version: The booked hotel was unavailable, and guests were taken to an abandoned residential building late at night.

Imagine you arrive at your booked hotel on your first morning abroad, following the navigation, only to be told by the front desk that check-in is only available in the afternoon. But when you return in the evening to check in, the front desk staff have vanished.

Not only have the front desk staff disappeared, but you and four other foreigners who also booked the hotel are locked out of the first-floor apartment, with no one to open the door.

A kind elderly woman passing by helps us open the door, and then, realizing we can't contact the hotel, she helps us contact them. Fifteen minutes later, a staff member appears out of nowhere and gets into a forty-minute argument with the other four guests. The guests insist that the hotel room doesn't match the online description.

At this point, I turned on my video recorder. After the forty-minute argument, we were told the hotel was unavailable and we had to find somewhere else to stay—even though we had just been told that morning that there were rooms available and we had even stored our luggage.

So I recorded ourselves dragging our luggage, which we'd already left at the hotel, through several dark alleyways in Rome, until we arrived at a pitch-black apartment building. We were told this was where we were to stay.

The windows in the Roman streets had bullet holes. We walked like this through the dark, deserted alleyways.

The attached picture is of the deserted apartment building where I was taken to check in on my first day. It wasn't the hotel I'd booked, and naturally, it had nothing to do with the promotional pictures.

The next day, after a total of one hour of communication with three Ctrip customer service representatives, I finally got the opportunity to change hotels. Thanks to the third customer service manager, I didn't have to go back to that inexplicably deserted apartment building in complete darkness a second time. I felt bad for her.

To other Chinese travelers: Don't book this hotel unless you want to be told there are no rooms available late at night and be taken into dark, deserted alleyways to experience some danger.

It's a great location in the heart of Rome, within walking distances to the best sites including the, collisuem, Best shopping, Vatican,... which is a out 35 minute walk. Hotels nearby are much more expensive. It's not 5 star but worth the value for the great location...Excellent manager & staff.

I really enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and everything was well taken care of. The atmosphere was very welcoming.
I want to especially mention Sarah from the staff — she was amazing! Super friendly, helpful, and always ready to assist with anything I needed. Her kindness and professionalism really stood out and made my stay even better.

Thanks to Sarah and the rest of the team, I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this hotel to others.

Once.. it might have been even great... ” First we didnt get answers to our questions, then after staying there 2 days of 4 we got a confirmation email to check in. So the questions i had when we booked, did not matter. Then it was hard to understand were to go info said check in at 67 but there were nothing at 67. After 10 min we finally got in. Noticed this huge copper colored hair ball in the staircase and other stuff.. "floating around" and it was there our whole stay. No one cleaned. Clog in the bathroom sink. We asked for an extra stool for our suitcase cus the room was so small and cramped that we couldnt walk around the bed with the suitcase on the floor, they said they would check, and we left to eat, returned 5 hrs later no one said a thing about it, and no stool arrived. The "balcony" door couldnt be closed so we had mosquitoes inside. The cars on the street, screaming people and the school were more heard due to the door couldnt be properly closed. We heard the "neighbour" and the people over us stamping the floor/our roof early early mornings and midnight. We asked for coffee ... There were NO espresso ONLY instant coffee, the loose kind, you put into warm water in ITALY!! No drinking water they didnt even change our towels or bed sheets in 4 days. Toilet wasent clean ditt on the back from several weeks it looked. The floor in this room was tilted towards the balcony so it felt like walking on a boat. Extremely small bed about 135-140 cm Not for 2 grown up persons on holiday and want to rest and sleep good. Very empty unloved place, no feeling. Empty were its supposed to be a "breakfast room" no flowers no fruits in the fruitbaskets no decor at all, no tea in the tea holder. Just empty, no one cared. Its all about your money. Its not cheap to stay there. We are not going to stay here again!
