Lovely hotel with great staff. A little oasis of calm in a busy city. Great gardens to sit in with perfect tranquility. Super breakfast, great room.

We stayed here for 3 nights during a Rome city visit. This delightful and elegant hotel is located in a quite spot about 10 to 20 minutes (depending on traffic) from bustling, noisy Rome centre. Our room was tastefully furnished and featured a jacuzzi bath, mini bar and tea/coffee making facilities. The bed was very comfy and the quiet location made for a sound and peaceful night's sleep. The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. I would absolutely recommend this hotel if you are planning to stay in Rome.

We stayed in room 824, which is on the side of the building. Perfectly quiet, amazing view, elevator available, if needed. Comfy bed, room large enough for European standard, desk, large windows, excellent cleaning service, and even special Prosecco delivery. Breakfast was good and plentiful. One of us is vegetarian, and there was plenty to eat for both. Front staff lovely. Whole neighborhood is beautiful and quiet, but blocks from Circus Maximus and main thoroughfare. Only picky thing would be that tub/shower doesn’t really work as expected. Can figure it out, but only half a door, so the unexpected spraying makes for a wet bathroom. Also, the maps etc. always take you to another one of their hotels. Make sure you get exact address for cabs, maps, etc. to avoid multi-block walks to the correct hotel. Overall, we would stay here again in a second. We stayed somewhere else on our return to the airport, and Anselmo was so much nicer.

The Hotel San Anselmo is our "home away from home" when visiting Italy. We have stayed there three times now, and each time, we have found it to be an absolute treat. The location is perfect-- it is far enough away from the chaos of the center of Rome to offer peace and quiet and still be within walking distance of all the major sights. The Aventine Hill area, with its churches and residential areas, offers the feel of a small and historic village. Nearby Testaccio offers excellent restaurants without tourist prices. The rooms are clean, comfortable and elegant-- a bargain for the price-- and the service always friendly and helpful. Maybe the biggest treat is the complimentary breakfast-- an array of fresh fruits, breakfast foods, and cakes, all of the highest quality; it's reason enough to stay there. We can't wait to come back.

We spent 4 days in the upper suite. The views were breathtaking. The appartment was very large and also had a kitchen. The 2 large balconies made it perfect for us though. The staff were helpful, the breakfast was very nice and the cocktails excellent.

What a fabulous place! The rooms were stunning. it was like staying in a castle. Staff at the front desk were very helpful with everything, including arranging transportation. The continental breakfast had many choices: various cold cuts and cheeses, delicious pastries, fruit, yogurt, granola, breads and jams. The porter Greg served dual purposes - carrying in our bags and serving drinks and snacks on the premises. A real treat! We couldn't have picked a better place!

The staff are amazing, from check in to breakfast. Even though we didn't see the cleaners, they were amazing also. Our room was attended to every day.
We were early for check in and our room wasn't ready so they took our bags and recommended restaurants at the bottom of the hill. (Hill is a killer to walk back up 😂) We went to Osteria San Giorgio Restaurant and the food was really good and the staff were lovely.
When we came back to check in, our bags were already in our room and we received a welcome drink (non alcoholic) and it was so refreshing and we were shown to our room.
One of the nights here, we did ask about food and was told the kitchen was closed for 2 weeks as they are on holiday, so that was a bit disappointing.
The Colosseum is about a 20 minute walk. The key hole is right around the corner from this hotel and the Orange park too. The Orange park is a must if you like to watch the sunset, it's beautiful. We went there for about 8pm.
Overall I can't fault this hotel. Thank you to all the staff for a lovely stay. 😊

I had the most beautiful pilgrimage experience in Rome, with the stay at Hotel Santa Prisca adding to this. The rooms were great, excellent location but the best was the really friendly service, especially by Nico, Massimo and team. Definitely recommend it.

We stayed here for a few nights in May 2025. The hotels is super clean and rooms are nice. There is a tram stop just across the street, and we found very nice places to eat just a few steps from the hotel. You can walk to the coliseum if you want. The breakfast is huge and the staff is super friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel in a great neighborhood.Lots of restaurants in the area and a short taxi ride away from main attractions. The layout of the bathroom was a little strange.Rooms are small but comfortable and the shutters insulate the street noise.I will definitely return here.

Had a great stay here. The rooms are tidy and nice, the breakfast is incredible (homemade cakes, croissants and pastries!) and the staff is very welcoming, friendly and helpful. The neighbourhood I enjoyed a lot - lots of cafes, restaurants and a huge food market closeby.
For Christmas I got a special vegetarian menu, thanks!!

The rooms are excellent for a two star hotel and have everything you need. The hotel has parking and a terrace with tables and chairs and the breakfast is amazing. The staff were very helpful and there’s a safe place to keep your luggage after you check out of your room.
We walked to the indoor market, the pyramide de Caio Celestio, the Caracalla baths and Trastevere.
We would definitely stay again.
