Vatican Treasure Hotel in Rome

I stayed here from the 31st of January to the 3rd of February. When we arrived at the property there was as a man in a small hut. I mentioned Vatican rooms and he told us to walk to block C. We couldn’t access block C as we had no keys. Luckily a man was leaving so we walked in the door. We walked up to the 4th floor and only knew to do that from the little sign on the front door. I thought I was coming to a hotel but I was mistaken. No one was there to greet us. When we got to the 4th floor there was a sign saying Vatican rolms. We rang the bell 4 times but no answer. A Italian phone number was on the sign so I rang it. A woman answered and said a woman on the 5th floor will be down now. A woman arrived a few minutes later and let us into the property. She explained which key does what as there were a few on the key ring that she gave us. She said the room is still dirty but come back in an hour. We came back an hour and a half later and even though she said the room would be clean, we felt as though the room was still dirty. It was a small waiting room and a corridor with 4 or 5 rooms. When we got settled everything wasn’t too bad after that. I asked for the internet password for our phones and so we weren’t eating into our data plan for our phones but the password would not work. On day 1 I found an insect in the bathroom. On day 2 my partner found two insects in the room and on day 3 I found another insect. The place felt dirty even though it was cleaned. We were very tired from travelling on day 1 so we had a bit of a nap but we found it difficult because of the noise and the noise was consistent throughout the whole trip. The walls are very thin. We could hear people using the toilet above us and on a different day there was loud banging as if construction was happening below us. I sent a message to management about It and they responded saying they’ll investigate but the noise persisted. Il be honest, it wasn’t terrible but it wasn’t a good experience. I won’t be returning here again.

The residents were rude, they were speaking to me from the corridors while I was in my room almost everyday.

I felt uncomfortable staying here. I didn't enjoy my time at The Treasure Vatican Hotel. Won't be returning ever again.

But thé room is rustic ... Very noisy !!!
WE took an other accomofation for 30€ much better ! Don't take it !!!
