Hotel Beau Rivage in Baveno

The Hotel is a traditional Italian Hotel in terms of style and decor. Our room (201) was on the second floor and had a lovely view over the gardens, pool and local church. The small balcony was beneficial. (Note: many of the lake view rooms dont have a balcony) The room was very clean and spacious with a large bathroom which again was very clean. Pool area was great with extra sunbeds up in the gardens and despite going in the school holidays it always felt relaxed and quiet. There was never a rush for sunbeds and even when returning to the pool.afer a day out there were always spare sunbeds. Pool was 1.4m deep at both ends so perfect for bobbing about and to cool down. The Hotel is situated in an excellent location, only minutes from numerous restaurants and small quiet bars, and close to baveno port where regular boats can take to other towns on the lake for less than €5.00 We loved our 9 day stay at this hotel and would definitely reccomend a visit.

We spent two nights at the BR and had an excellent stay. The hotel is close to the center and a short walk to the point where boats depart to the islands. Staff at the reception and in the restaurant is very friendly (a pleasure to interact with them all!). The room is spacious, comfortable, very clean and well furnished with a perfect en-suite bathroom. It has a small balcony with a view over the lake; beautiful! Restaurant is good. The food is simple yet tasty. Breakfast is varied, plenty and excellent! There are lots of restaurants nearby, which is also convenient. Good WiFi. Secure free car park is provided; again a great plus. Overall, EXCELLENT. We will definitely be back!

Lovely hotel, fab staff. Amazing location!

This is a family run 3 star hotel situated in Baveno on the shore of Lake Maggoire. We stayed here for a week and had breakfast and dinner each day. At the start of our stay I was wondering why only 3 stars? Initially I thought it should have the extra star. But as the week went on I can see why. Before I start went the few negatives I’ll start with the positives. Check in was fine and we had no issues. I found the staff friendly and efficient. Our room was basic, clean and roomy. We had a lake view which was impressive and a pleasure to wake up every morning. The air conditioning worked a treat as it was 30c some days we were there. The bathroom was clean and modern with a walk-in shower. Breakfast was average with fruit, cereal and eggs (boiled and fried) and pastries. Dinner each evening was either fish, chicken or various meats. Salad and veggies served on the side. There was a small bar with plenty of seating areas. There was a small outdoor pool and a sun terrace. The negatives. Talking to other guests our room was larger than most. The breakfast lacked variety and was predictable. Dinner was much the same and lacked imagination. The bar closed early (10:30/45pm). There was no entertainment of any kind. The road outside the hotel is very busy and can be noisy. The summarise, if you improve the quality, variety of food and employ an entrainment manager you could get your extra star. Baveno is stunningly beautiful but lacks evening entertainment.

This beautiful family run hotel has a 3 star grading, but I would give it 4 stars. Superb location on the waterfront overlooking Lake Maggiore, with beautifully maintained gardens with outdoor swimming pool. Being a traditional building, there was plenty of lounge space to relax in air conditioned rooms. The hotel is only 150 metres from the town centre, where you can get numerous boats to nearby islands and beyond. The whole staff are very friendly and cheerful at all times, particularly the dining room waiters and waitress, with great knowledge of English speaking. Breakfast has plenty of choice of good quality food, being self service it’s nice to sit outside in the garden with good access to the food area. The rooms are comfortable, we had a lovely walk-in shower, enough wardrobes and shelves for clothes etc. Air conditioning unit had easy controls and was extremely quiet. There is a good sized car park, there is a lift to all three floors. We would really recommend this hotel in a delightfully peaceful resort of Baveno, much more relaxing than its nearby larger and noisier neighbour of Stresa.

A wonderful hotel with delicious food. Excellent service I couldn’t fault. Beautiful view out to the lake and ideal location for getting around.

Nice location. Very friendly staff - even if we were quite late for the check-in we were welcomed in a very polite and nice manner. Room was ok - clean, bathroom also very clean. Breakfast options ok. Overall - a very nice place to spend a great weekend.
