The description of the hotel does NOT do it justice.
The views of the lake are fantastic. The hotel owners are lovely and the breakfast is truly super. Parking is good because you do need a car and we were able to find parking down in Stresa itself.
The rooms are nice and well equipped. We spent a lot of time sitting on the balcony watching the world below.
This hotel is a true gem and we had a great time there.

Great hotel , very helpful staff, view from balcony is fantastic, breakfast is delicious, but car is a must if you want to move around the town, it very high up on the hill.

Great views. Beautiful garden. Welcoming hosts. Nice breakfast. In our case room on the small side, but with balcony with view of the lake. Fimurnishings dated - but may be the intention is to be "vintage". Bed noy so comfortable. Overall enjoyed the place.

Exceptional hotel for the splendid view of the lake and for the genuine hospitality of the owners attentive to every need, quiet location a stone's throw away by car from Stresa

It's a great hotel!! However, if you do not drive it is quite a walk into Stressa. So a taxi is needed it costs roughly 15€. You do get the most amazing views. Breakfast is very simple but you have a wide variety of continental options. No hot breakfast options.

Beautifully perched on a promontory with view over Lake Major. It's best to have your breakfast under the morning sun on the terrace overlooking the lake. From there you can also see some Bartolomeo islands. Very nice. The hotel can serve a good supper with a fair price if asked for. Nearby on the left within a hundred yards there is a church. View of the lake and the surroundings in the falling evening light from the terrace is incomparable. Ask for a room with a lakeview.

The absolutely best views in the area! Fantastic experience, such a time machine back to authentic: end of 19th beginning of 20th century decor and ambience! Modern bathrooms and original, although, "like new" furniture and decor. This hotel has been owed and run by a single family for the past hundred years, four generations of hard working people. Vittorio is very, very charming man. We loved the setting, the lake, the people - everything and extended our stay ;)
