BB Il Duomo in Syracuse

The location is simply perfect. Access is not easy, especially if coming by car (the contact with the owner, Stefano, made it much simpler). Rooms are spacious, not new but comfortable and pleasant. Hot water and large shower. And an old but functioning a/c unit. So everything was in place.

The breakfast is so and so, were it not for the beautiful room and the paintings at the walls... (don't add it, if you can, there are so many other beautiful options around!).

I do recommend it for the location, which is absolutely spectacular, right beside the Duomo di Siracusa, and in one of the most beautiful squares in Sicily, unforgettable!

The owner Stephano and his wife are really helpfull and kind person. We have visited Siracusa with two children U10. We messed up the parking and drove into the old city, but Stephano arranged everything with the police and we could park in the Dome Square in their house. The breakfast was delicious, the best we have eaten in Sicily! The room was really quiet despite of the central location. Stephano speaks good English and his wife speaks French. I can recommend it for pairs and families as well.

An excellent historical house now a b&b with very friendly hosts and great location right in the centre of Ortigia mean the Duomo and restaurants.

Very large esplanade surrounded by great historical buildings including the Cathedral. Nice at night as well as the lighting is well placed

Location is very good and for that the 4 stars. The rest is ok.. Italian breakfast is served in a cafe at the square across the main entrance. Service there was really bad and one of the 3 days we were supposed to have breakfast it was closed.

Beautiful B&B; in the heart of the island on the square making everything walkable. Contact the hotel directly for the best possible price.
the owners have taken great care to make this inviting. This is not easily accessible by car as it is a pedestrian zone. If you have a lot of luggage hire a taxi; we hired a car for transport from the Catania airport and it worked out well. The room we stayed in could sleep 4 with 2 queen size beds. toilet/sink/bidet and a bathtub shower, only the shower worked
Breakfast was nice with jams, croissants and bread; cappuccino, yogurt and hard boiled eggs and a cheese, in a room thank right off from reception. Lots of juices. Highly recommend!

Perfect location. Great breakfast room with good selection of Italian sweets but also yoghurt and so on. Airco was very effective. Nice traditional decoration with high ceilings. Also friendly staff and clean facilities! I would recommend this place to friends to stay for +/-3 nights.
