Where to stay in Sicily

The location is good and the view is great but the rooms are very basic at the level of a hostel or a 3 star hotel or less. The breakfast is also mediocre and far from what is described in the reviews. We booked and paid for two nights and left after the first night

For this price I expected more especially for included breakfast. Of course the view is beautiful and rooms are comfortable, new and clean. The staff is very kind and helpful. Internet (WiFi) is okey, but not perfect for bigger files. At first breakfast seems very delicious and various but up close the scrambled eggs is made from powder, omelette and sausages are cold, only black tea to choose from...

Best stay ever This is one of the nicest resorts I have stayed at. The level of heartfelt interactions with the staff were second to none. The spa was great, the restaurant was amazing and the pool was beautiful. The views can not be matched.

I enjoyed the stay. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. I enjoyed the location as it was right next to the train station. It was also very close to the morning markets in the area. My only complaint was that our shower wasn't fully tightened and so there was inconsistent water flow through the shower head. Everything else was great however.

It's very convenient to extend your stay in the same room. However, I told the front desk I needed shower gel the night before, and they said they would provide it the next morning, but when I returned to the hotel, the shower gel was still empty.

We want to express here how wonderful our stay was, how much we appreciated the location and the friendliness and service (even making vegan cakes for me!) Excellent apartments right on a private beach. The apartments are not modern, but functional. Secure private parking right next to the apartments. A large pool with a restaurant are located only a short walk away. The beach has two sections - one with large pebbles, and one with coarse sand. The water is a perfect temperature. This was a great property with lovely rooms, nice staff, good restaurant. Location is ok if you have a car. Great parking with either outside or underground for a small fee. Not close to town so you need a car or transportation to get to town. Not really a walkable location to see anything. But overall a great place to stay while visiting this area.

The property is very close to the monuments walking distance to the entrance . The gardens are beautiful lots of seating available Valle di Agrigento can be seen. The only negative I had was that the shower floor was very slippery .

Just for one night Agrigento it's a place you have to sleep,to visit the Temples area. It's the only reason. I loved the pizza Cori, that is located 400 meters at the left of the hotel.

Beautiful hotel, especially from the outside! Looks like a fortress! Unfortunately it‘s located next to a noisy street. The breakfast was good, but it has not a big variety of fresh fruits and veggies. The swimming pool was great but the opening times could be better. It is closed early in the morning, in the noon and in the late evening.

This is NOT a 4 star hotel on any level. The front desk staff were ok but barely helpful. Room housekeeping never quite got it right. Thoroughly enjoyed my three-night stay at Hotel Costazzurra. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Lounging by the pool with a cold drink was definitely a highlight. A hotel, a spa and a museum!!!! Who thought that was even possible. Lovely room with great views, the spa facilities are also great. The pool area was being refurbished and prepared for the season so we didn’t get to try it out. The hotel is a short walk out of town and is clean and well looked after. I don't know if it was because it's the end of the season but they were miserly with the towels and for two days out of the the water in the bathroom was warm and not hot.

We were so happy we picked this hotel! The staff was so lovely and the pool was incredible! The location is great too. We would get a granita and brioche brunch at Arte e Sapporo and then lounge by the pool. It was heaven.

Lovely quiet hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They spoke English if required. The pool was fabulous. Very clean with plenty of bubbles. We only ate breakfast which was the same every day. Cold meat and cheese predominantly. Plenty of cake and fruit too. Typical continental style breakfast. Rooms were always clean. Great location. Very friendly and helpful service. We had a lovely room with a rooftop terrace overlooking the city and the large church in the photo. The city itself is wonderful with friendly people and pleasant to walk around - even at night.

Right i center of Marsala The staff was charming and helpfull. Breakfast was good and the room a good size. Bed was on the hard side but many of them are. The room in general and bathroom in particular had a bit of a smell (coming from the dragon/sewer. Would stay here again.

Very spacious room, huge bed and comfortable mattress. The air conditioning is controlled by the hotel management, it cannot be set up individually in each room. We stayed here only one night. The location is strategic, close to the ferry harbour, at least one of them, to the train station and to one of the main squares. The hotel looks like an 80 vintage gem in need of a refreshing. But overall it's still in a nice condition.

The view from our room was outstanding. Lovely sunrise on our last day. Lots of restaurant noise audible in our room at night after service ended. Breakfast was nothing special. Dinner was better. The hotel looks very tired and would benefit from a proper revamp. The rooms were not particularly clean, dust and hand prints everywhere at check in, never improved. Under staffed, no one ever visible at the reception desk or bar. Breakfast was not great, we had dinner once and food was average at best. Quite disappointed considering how much we paid for a 3 night stay

Sicilia Trip The property is very nice and it served us well. It was a morning that we could sleep in a little but the noise from other guests in the morning and a birthday party the night before really traveled through the floors and walls. The balconies were a very nice place to relax in the morning and evening before dinner.

This is a modern hotel on 4 floors, with restaurant. Rooms are not provided with kettles. Glasses in the rooms were plastic. Rooms are simple, clean and colourful. The property is located 4 km from the center of Syracuse. This is a good hotel without too many pretensions. The room is spacious and clean.
