Keep out! The hotel really needs to be renewed. The palace itself is nice but showers are dirty, with many sign of their age (see picture). Electrical components including bulbs are not safe. I experienced a black out on the second floor. Few towels, poor room kit (just some soap), not even a glass for drinking some water. Air conditioning extremely noisy. Dead mosquitoes on the walls. I should say however that staff is friendly. Room 216 is quiet (if you switch off air conditioning).

Close to the train station and most of the major attractions are within a comfortable walking distance. The place does need some urgent repairs. The lift operates but is out of kilter and one bit f the stairs handrails came off in my hand. The staff knew about it but weren't particularly enthused to do anything. The wardrobe door was coming loose, and the balcony door wasn't secure. Mixed levels of service from the staff. Some were helpful, others just going through the motions. Had a balcony room, but the shade structure couldn't be raised. The room was comfortable enough, particularly if you are out all day. But look elsewhere if you are looking for a better overall experience.

Get away. Don't look just the reception (enought clean) just get a look in trip advisor and type the name of the hotel. In the front of the hotel it says that Garibaldi sleeeped there, since then they didn't clean up.

Hotel in great location, good service, but the room is found in a rather scruffy... The lights that were not working that much, the plugs that came away from the wall, the TV with a few channels to tune in... Room to improve, absolutely!! For the rest everything ok!

The hotel was pretty old and the room was pretty small. The room was okay clean and there we're no issues of any sort of bugs/bedbugs. Breakfast and wifi were included. The location was excellent though. Only a 7 minute walk to the Doumo and about a 12 minute walk to the bridge.

Price is good, excellent location. Breakfast okay...but could have used more fresh fruit. Lobby is old, grungy, and unwelcoming. Nice stained glass but always very dark, and just a mix up of furniture. Always has a sewer smell.
Room was dark, poor lighting. Very old fashioned hair dryer with no nozzle. Paint over wallpaper that is peeling off and dirty walls. Art work has no rhyme or reason....like they bought out a tag sale.
Beds were sloppily made.
Desk staff not very welcoming or friendly.
However...only spending time to sleep there, and again price and location good.

Great location, close to the train station. Good breakfast, but a bit on the simple side. Room had a nice size and was overall pretty clean. AC was good and it had a mini refrigerator and a nice TV. Bathroom is quite small, but it's manageable. WiFi was quite good also.

Nice comfortable room with AC and a private balcony overlooking the street out front.
Can't be skinny enough to be able to take a shower and close the shower, so just resign yourself to spraying a bit of water and put one of the bidet towels on the floor to soak it up and you'll be ok.
Friendly staff, great location, decent budget breakfast.

+ Довольно удобное расположение. Хорошая сантехника (при недостатках ниже). Просторный номер. Pretty convenient location. Modern sanitary ware (but some cons below). Spacious room.
- Душевая кабина со стенками, но без поддона. Вода льется на пол и частично затапливает ванную. Персонал не особенно радушен. Shower cabin with glass walls, but without a tray. The water fell on the floor and partly flooded the bathroom. Staff not particularly welcoming.
