Reviews
1. The standard 14 sqm room was definitely misrepresented. We stayed at a hotel in Milan later where a 15 sqm room felt much, much more spacious. There's no harm in a little comparison.
2. The bedside table was literally just a block of wood – you read that right, not even a small shelf, just a block. There wasn't even enough space for two phones to charge.
3. The electric kettle had a large plastic lining and was broken. Luckily, we always bring our own portable one when traveling.
4. The room had a lingering smell of cleaning products, and when the heating was turned on at night, there was also a distinct smell coming from the air ducts.
5. The sink faucet wouldn't shut off completely and kept leaking.
Location: It's about a 100-meter walk from the nearest train station exit, just around the corner across the street. The location is truly convenient, especially for those staying in Florence and planning day trips to other Tuscan cities by train. This is a big plus.
Service: The front desk staff immediately pushed for a room upgrade (to a 22 sqm superior room). After politely declining multiple times, we were told we couldn't check in until after 3 PM, but if we upgraded, we could check in immediately. We were also asked to pay the city tax right away (which is fine, but it was strange as all our other hotels in Rome, Venice, and Milan collected it upon checkout). However, the breakfast was absolutely excellent! After enduring several days of hotels in Rome offering no hot food at all, having hot scrambled eggs, bacon, and stir-fried vegetables was pure bliss. Plus, the breakfast menu changed daily, and we enjoyed it thoroughly for all five days of our stay.
Overall: The location, breakfast, and value for money allow me to give it 5 stars, which somewhat compensates for the shortcomings in the room type, cleanliness, and facilities.
The 24-hour front desk made me feel very secure.
The room wasn't huge, but it was perfectly adequate and well-equipped. It was very clean and promptly serviced.
The front desk staff enthusiastically explained all the details: breakfast, key card, routes to major attractions, etc. I really appreciate it!
The breakfast was fantastic! The lovely ladies on the breakfast team greeted everyone warmly, made coffee, and worked diligently and efficiently. Thumbs up!
On the last day, I left my luggage at the hotel and picked it up in the afternoon before catching my train. When I picked up my bags, the gentleman at the front desk was very friendly and even told me there was a restroom downstairs I could use. It's true that finding restrooms outside can be difficult!
Ousman, the friendly guy, suggested I write down my feelings and share them with others, just writing whatever came to mind. I think he's right; others might need honest information. I spent some time choosing a hotel before I came, and it seems I made the right choice.
Thanks again, I really enjoyed this trip! 😀😀
The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful throughout our stay. They checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was going well. Breakfast every morning was great, and a huge shout-out to Jade, whose kindness and willingness to go above and beyond made our mornings even better!
Our room was spotless and smelled amazing - honestly one of the best hotel room scents we’ve experienced, I’d happily use whatever they’re using at home!
Overall, this was a fantastic base for our Florence trip. We’d definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the city - a perfect mix of location, service, comfort, and value. 10/10 from us!
The room itself was very clean, with a large window that provided excellent ventilation.
Breakfast was fantastic – simple yet delicious, and the coffee was really good too.
The only downside was the air conditioning, which made a bit of noise.
• The room was infested with bed bugs.
• The heating system did not work at all.
• The hairdryer was not functioning.
• The showerhead holder was loose and unstable.
• The room was full of dust, showing poor cleaning standards.
• The carpet and bed fabrics were old, dirty, and covered with lint and hair.
This combination of hygiene and maintenance problems made my stay extremely uncomfortable. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone, and I strongly believe a refund should be issued for such conditions.
Overall, the breakfast spread was quite varied and plentiful. The breakfast staff were also very friendly and their service was commendable.
