Hotel Pierre in Florence

The service is great, both Italian and English! They stored my suitcase for me in between stays. Breakfast is also great, maybe best cappuccino I’ve had in Florence. The rooms are the only downside, some have a mini bar and closet and other do not. Overall I have stayed here 3 times and each time been happy. Great location and great hotel!

It is a very nice hotel with good size, clean rooms, helpful & polite staff and great breakfast. But what makes it uncompetable is its perfect location. They also help for parking place. If I go to firenze again, this is the hotel I will stay again. Grazie mille for your hospitality...

The hotel front desk was awesome! They had great recommendations for dinner and they were very kind. The complimentary breakfast has a decent assortment of options. Mostly meat and cheese trays, eggs, yogurt, pastries, juice, and coffee. The only downside was the room. The view from the bedroom was a nasty back alley view that overlooked the trash cans. Right across from the window was another room’s window. Felt like no privacy with the shades open. The air conditioner as well did not work. Even with all this said though, we were barely in the room and we were out in the city, so this did not bother us too much.

Great hotel for what’s advertised & the price! We stayed here for our night and 2 days in Florence and it was in the PERFECT location. Walking distance from the train station, and walking distance to all you wanna do in Florence. Rooms are small but overall fine, we didn’t really spend much time in there, more just a place to sleep while we explored Florence. Breakfast was good, typical European hotel breakfast. Staff was super friendly and really accommodating to holding luggage and such!

Great hotel! Located in the heart of Florence, perfect location. We got a big room. Service was very good. Great recommendation by the Hotel team. Room was clean. Nice breakfast.
If you want to be in the center this is a great hotel.

Hotel Pierre is indeed a kind of gracious place. Firenze (as Venice) is (was) submerged by Japanese tourists (indeed : TOURISTS) using a lot of Iphones or cameras, but unable to see what the cities are for. Pierre is very close to Piazza della Republica, and also very close to Gubbie Rosse, a very historical place of writers of the 1920 and 1930. And you can walk both to the Duomo (absolutely great, see pictures with morning light) and over Ponte Vecchio, to Santo Spirito, a wonderful place.
The rooms are very well, and also breakfast and the breakfast staff are wonderful. I talked with one of the waiters about the church Badia Fiorentina, where the sisters and monks of Fraternita di Gerusalemme are singing, and he perfectly knew it. What will you expect more ?
The reception staff is of perfect politeness, very discret, but also very knowledgeable and helpful. If you ask, even in a very qualified way, for restaurant recommendation, they will send you to a good place.
And if you like to see something particular, go to the museum of Salvatore Ferragamo, at 5 minutes walking distance.
Thus : A hotel which I will certainly revisit, for its obvious qualities !

I recently stayed again, at another 4 star Hotel, which potentially may claim a higher ranking. I do not agree, the Pierre is still really perfect, as I have seen during my very last visit.
Here is Ponte Vechio, very early, with fog. First, I went to hear the singing sisters and monks nearby. Arno is shimmering. I had to put the camera on the balcony of the bridge - as there was little light. Admirable, I think.
And, new supplement, further photos of fog in Firenze. If you see that, you would like to go back to Firenze instantly. Photographs taken at the beginning of May . Some people in England would call it a kind of "nostalghia", a Russian word, and it is not wrong. Remember Tarkowski, who died in Paris.
Newest Supplement : Massimiliano, the porter of the hotel. When I arrived, he said to me : "I remember you", may be of my photo equipment. He is an extraordinary kind person, proud of his profession.
If you see the photographs of Massimiliano, you think of August Sander, the famous German photographer. Massimiliano is - indeed - an iconic person, but "iconic" in the true sense. What a pleasure ! And, now, on the new Pictures, is also Annamaria, head of the reception staff. We got a room looking at Boboli Gardens, and thus you can see hereafter Kaffeehaus. +++ WONDERFUL AND DECENT HOTEL +++++
+++ The many stones you can see on one picture are not in front of the Hotel, but on Piazza della Republica. Do not be afraid ! And the site already changed. But, now, some new "rough" photos of Firenze. The bar at the New Market behind the hotels opens at 6.30 a.m., for the market mans. Like in India, but great ! ++ New visit in February 2020, and I maintain my critic. Wonderful place.
It is July 2021, and we could not go for obvious reasons. Our thoughts are with the staff of the hotel, so kind persons. Greetings to Massimiliano, the porter ! Will try to be back !
