This hotel was immaculate! We stayed here for five nights as part of our honeymoon and were blown away by the level of care and detail imparted into every corner of the space. The hotel was recently remodeled and from the décor to the bar's drink menu, every detail was obviously curated with care. The vibe gives alluring quiet luxury. The beds were very comfortable, the amenities high end (having a Dyson hairdryer in the room was game changing), and the daily thoughtful treats a special surprise. The service was also incredible - especially the breakfast service! 'S' took care of us every morning; she always warmly welcomed us and even remembered our coffee orders! Although the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the Duomo, we felt like we were tucked away in our own space of Firenze where we could roam the city during the day and come back to a quiet, warm place to unwind. If we ever have the chance to return, there's no where else we would stay!

A December Gem in Florence

We spent a long weekend at The James Suite Hotel Firenze in December and it was exceptional. The timing couldn't have been better - Florence without the tourist crowds, just locals going about their day, gave us an authentic experience of the city.

The hotel itself is outstanding. With just over 30 rooms (all suites), it strikes that perfect balance between intimate boutique property and full-service luxury. The design is impeccable throughout - clearly a lot of thought went into every detail.
What really stood out was the staff's attentiveness without being overbearing. They knew exactly when to be present and when to give you space. The restaurant exceeded my expectations for a hotel dining room - genuinely good, not just "good for a hotel." And the bar is excellent - we found ourselves there most evenings.

This is a Small Luxury Hotels of the World property that truly lives up to that designation. Would absolutely return without hesitation.

WOW! This James is the best. We had the pleasure of staying in room 21 and it was absolutely spectacular. Everything about this hotel is pristine. The level of personalized care and service, the style of the entire hotel, the room, the drinks, the breakfast, everything. Finding a good boutique hotel experience is hard to come by these days and The James is doing a spectacular job. Our room was the perfect retreat from the chaos of the streets of Florence. Such a comfy place to come back to after a long day of exploring. After traveling for about 4 weeks in Europe for our honeymoon this was one of our favorite stays. It was comfortable and felt like home which was much needed after so many days of travel. We cannot wait to return to this wonderful hotel in the future.

This is one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at anywhere in the world.

The staff were all incredibly friendly, helpful and professional. We were greeted with a very warm welcome and every need was met by the team. We were delighted with the special touches like welcome drinks and fruit in the room.

The room was very comfortable, with generous space, comfortable furnishings and lovely peaceful setting. We were very impressed with housekeeping who would leave little gifts on a daily basis, as well as lovely products for us to use.

The cocktails in the bar were the best we had in Florence, and very charming in their story and creation. I recommend the house Martini. The bar is a really cosy space to relax and unwind after a long day sightseeing.

A perfect little hotel for a touch of luxury with the warmth of a family run establishment.

The James Suite Hotel 1564 Firenze is the best designed place we ever set our eyes upon. This boutique place was a beautiful mix of high-end luxury and cosiness, that made it a home away from home.

The service was personal and welcoming. We spent a few days of our honeymoon here, and we wished we would've stayed longer in this hotel and Florence!

The innovative cocktail bar and restaurant are of great quality, and oh so beautifully designed. The chairs, the lamps, the colour palette: simply peak decor.

The room amenities are amazing and very high-end. The bed-sheets and mattress were the most comfortable we ever felt in our life. And above all, they had a Dyson hair dryer available!!

We would love to come back one day, thank you!

Really disappointed with the communications from this hotel - have tried through various channels to contact them to change our booking for this June as the event we were going to got postponed - have received no responses for months and feel pretty sad as I was really looking forward to it and it's a lot of money lost as well. Had convinced my partner to book the suite to make it more special as it looks amazing but now I deeply regret that.

A great little hotell in a quiet area. Still just 10 min away from the city center.
The hotell is located in an old historic building and you feel history seeping through the walls.
Quaint room wich kind of surprised me with it's unusual layout. A two stories suite, when I just booked a ordinary room. All for the better!
Proffessional staff who are more buisness than smiles and greetings. But in no way rude.
Great breakfast in cozy surroundings.
