Fairly decent hotel, friendly staff or owner.
However totally overpriced. I paid $700 for 4 nights, For a room 110 steps to climb up, with no carpet, no bathroom, no AC.
Was told in the booking that $200 or € was a deposit which would be refunded. No $200 or € were ever refunded. $175 per night for a room that is worth maybe half of that.

We stayed here for a few nights and the place was exactly what we needed to roam around Florence. It was clean and there were all of the basic necessities (towels, soap, clean sheets). Our room had a beautiful view and the building has an extraordinary accessible terrace with a 360 view on Florence. The owner was nice and welcoming!

Charming place, perfect for students and low budgets:
⇨ located in the city center, only 10-15 mn away by foot to the Piazza del Duomo
⇨ clean and well-equipped room (wi-fi, tv, etc) with private or shared bathroom
⇨ breakfast available and cleaning days can be arranged
⇨ owner and staff very nice, always here to help
⇨ close to bus stops (more than 10 routes), main train station Firenze SMN not far
⇨ 3 parks near by and the Fortezza da Basso as well
⇨ early check-in and late check-out available
⇨ credit card or cash payments both possible

Only bad point was a broken fridge.

PROS: The owner Andrea is very friendly and helpful. The property is just two steps away from every thing and close to many restaurants appreciated by the people of the internet (we never used public transport). Quiet room, private bathroom with hot water and high pressure, old floors, comfortable mattress, plenty of space to hang clothes, big tv with many channels, distributor free water (bottle) and hot drinks at a charge, but at a good price, supermarkets very close also open until late.
CONS: safety deposit box a refrigerator and microwave to accommodate, small drawers, the room a bit warm, the pillows too flat but bending them in good shape.

Great location, but no aircon in the individual rooms. Go in cooler months, and ask for a room away from the Main Street (we had a lot of noise from the busses). However, very decent for a cheap price- good choice if you want to be close to the centre of Florence.

Here is what I think. The owner is greedy. We stayed here for 3 days and we've seen this many times. PLEASE READ IT ALL BEFORE STAYING. This place did not provide us TOWELS, SOAP, HOT WATER, AND WIFI. The only wifi you can use is the one down stairs which is impossible to connect in your room. We sat on the building's stairs in order to get wifi.
The receptionist took our money once we entered the room and we never saw him again. We tried to contact him through whatsapp for our problem and needs. He saw our message and did not respond. The room itself and the location was Okay but everything else was really bad.
