Hotel Collodi Firenze in Florence

A great hotel, kind of like a family-run guesthouse. The receptionists were all very friendly and nice, and it was very convenient to get around! I would definitely stay here again if I had the chance. The rooms were spacious, and the breakfast was good too.

Great hotel with everything you need on a holiday!

With a big luggage is not easy to move up and down.

First off, the location is excellent – just a ten-minute walk from the train station. Secondly, at check-in, they thoroughly explained that the main door closes at 10 PM, after which guests should use their key for the side entrance, and they also covered the breakfast times. Finally, the room was very spacious and had a great vibe. I loved it! 😍

The location is fantastic! All major attractions are within a 20-minute walk at most. There are also many Chinese restaurants nearby, so you can easily satisfy your craving for Chinese food. The hotel itself is compact but fully functional, offering convenience and a peaceful retreat despite its central and bustling location.

The hotel is conveniently located about a 5-minute walk from Florence's Santa Maria Novella train station. Just a short stroll of about ten meters away, there's a Chinese Chuan Chuan Xiang (skewer hotpot) restaurant where we enjoyed several decent meals. Within 50 to 100 meters, you'll find a Carrefour supermarket and the popular Zaza restaurant, which even past 9 PM still had a queue. The Duomo is also easily reachable, only a 6-7 minute walk away. The hotel's location is superbly convenient.

Our quad room was moderately sized, clean, and tidy. While the air conditioning wasn't particularly strong, we appreciated the two fans provided in the room for extra circulation. Luckily, Florence's weather wasn't overly hot during our stay, and the breeze at 9 AM was quite refreshing.

The breakfast room was small, and the selection was simple, though sufficient to start the day. Offerings included eggs, croissants, two types of fruit (apples and bananas), and a rotating selection of sweet breads. Beverages included coffee, tea, juice, and hot cocoa. There was also a toaster; we enjoyed toasting bread and pairing it with jam, butter, and cold cuts, which was quite tasty.

Check-in is available until 9 PM. For late arrivals, guests must inform the hotel in advance, as the front desk is unstaffed in the evenings. A key is then provided for access via a side door.

A unique feature is the hotel's elevator, which only serves up to the second floor. Guests staying on higher floors will need to carry their luggage up the stairs.

Overall, our stay was very comfortable.

Very clean, and the location is excellent – most places are easily walkable. The breakfast was also delicious.
