Room was pretty decent and clean, but also a bit older and dated. Breakfast was good, but the eggs are probably powdered, not fresh. Everything else was good. Very close to the train station, and a short walk from the Duomo and shopping areas.
Everything was perfect. Hotel was very good location.
Room was very clean and breakfast is very good.
A good hotel in its price range. It's located in an old building and has a very authentic decor. Wooden floors, large windows with shutters, metal latches on the windows, keys on the doors, and wooden furniture immerse you in a rugged city atmosphere. However, it's been renovated and has good plumbing. Clean linens and towels. Breakfast was also a delight. One problem: we wanted to stay an extra night...
Friendly helpful staff, beautiful traditional rooms, very clean and breakfast very good :)
It is worth the stay just for the breakfast they have every morning! Like most of the hotel the room is small, but very nice
Great little hotel, only downside was the shower didn’t drain at all. Room was clean, breakfast was good area was nice.

While the hotel facilities and environment had a somewhat dated feel, the cleanliness was excellent. The breakfast quality far exceeded our expectations. The superb location also saved us a lot of time. Overall, it was a fantastic stay!
The room wasn't big, but its best feature was its excellent location, right in the heart of town. Shops lined both sides of the street, and there were even places to drink in the evenings – very convenient. The breakfast was also decent.
The location is very convenient, you can order freshly brewed Italian coffee for breakfast, and the room facilities are average
good stay friendly staffs recommend
The hotel is a bit old, especially the facilities. The location is good.
Excellent hotel. 5 minutes to the station and attractions within walking distance. The room is clean. There are many cafes downstairs, it was very noisy at night.

The hotel is good and clean. Breakfast was ok. Location can be challenging given the road condition is narrow and a lot of cobble stone. It is better to take a taxi to go there. Unfortunately, there is a road work infront of the hotel now and it can be very noisy during morning till late afternoon. Service was impeccable by the staff!
Beautiful scenery, very comfortable stay. From my window, I could see European-style gardens and a clock tower, and in the morning, I'd hear the chimes – a truly peaceful and cozy feeling. Breakfast was plentiful too.
We stayed at Hotel Panama in Florence on 15th and 16th February, and we had a really nice experience. The hotel is now recently managed by Nandu and Chandan, and they are doing a great job.
The staff was very welcoming from the moment we arrived. A special mention to the owner, who personally helped us plan our itinerary and guided us on how to explore the city in the best way.

I loved the high ceilings; they're great. It's clean, the location is good, everything's great. However, the bar was closed on Sunday... my welcome drink...
This is by far the best hotel I've stayed at in Rome. The location is super convenient, and the triple room we booked was quite spacious. The breakfast was good too.
Excellent! The room was very spacious, and the TV was a Samsung 7-series, which allowed us to watch Netflix.

Excellent location with amazing views of Florence's cherished landmark just metres from the hotel. Very friendly staff across the full hotel. Great breakfast to keep you going. Would highly recommend.
The hotel is very conveniently located, that's why we chose it. Yes. the reception area is interesting, but you only look at it for 2 minutes. The rest of the time it's the room and the restaurant in the morning. The condition of the room left a not very pleasant impression. The beds and all the furniture did not look nice and well-kept, and the bathroom certainly needs renovation (especially the outdated...
The location is right by the Duomo. The room was superb, facing the Duomo. It was two stories, dublex room. Great for a family vacation. Our daughter was very happy to have a room of her own instead of a roll away. The staff was very nice. Will definetely book this hotel again. Thank you.
The hotel was right there by the Duomo. The room was great, two stories. We stayed 3 of us, my husband and our daughter. There was a queen bed and a tv upstairs. And downstairs was a daybed and a tv and the bathroom. Great stay, great personelle, perfect location. Thank you!
A very comfortable hotel in a brilliant location in the heart of the City. The bed and breakfast only service is a little limiting, and it is a pity there is no bar area to enjoy in the evening. But very good value for money in what is a very expensive Italian city
The location was spot on. We had seen this hotel on previous visits to Firenze and thought it would be nice to stay here. However, The room wasn't very clean. Dusty picture rails, cobwebs and squashed mosquitos on the walls. There was also a small nail sticking out at the bottom of the doorway. It could be quite easy for a guest to stub a toe on it. I did point it out to the receptionist whilst she...

i arrived to Florence from Assisi really sick, and having had my wallet stolen. I cannot imagine a more welcoming place than Hotel Burchianti. Giulia amd Marco (or Mario) are so professional and kind and made my stay there feel like coming home. I also absolutely love the boutique feel, the classical music and how tastefully attired the staff is. The juice, American coffee were plenty for me. The twin...
The room was amazing with beautiful painted ceiling. Everything was sparkling clean and the central heating worked (it is January).
The Junior suite with the frescos was one of a kind. Beautifully decorated and furnished. Beds are good.
The stuff is amazingly and uniquely friendly and helpful. Giulia is a gem.
Fresh coffee in the morning instead of a coffee maker.
In the old town only walking minutes from the cathedral.
One of the best accommodations ever
Room was clean and surprisingly big. I found the bed comfy but husband didn’t. Staff was pleasant but we weren’t told breakfast was extra when we checked in, and the next morning the person in charge was 10 minutes late, so we had to wait for fresh coffee. Once he got situated he did make some pretty good cappuccino. But we had expected breakfast and weren’t even offered the option when checking in...
It was an easy walk to the train station and also close enough to the sights I wanted to see that I was able to walk. Also the interior of the historic building was charming.
This was a wonderful place to stay. It’s perfect for the location which is in the heart of Florence. The staff made it feel like home for just a few days! Julia was especially wonderful, kind, helpful and always available for a conversation. Thank you!

A beautiful renovation and adaptation project for the hotel. The staff is also very friendly and communicative. I'll be back! 🙂
This hotel was amazing. I am traveling solo and location was perfect. Breakfast was delicious and the Staff was so helpful. Specially Antonella. Looking forward to back.
Room was spacious! Staff were great, particularly making our coffee requests each morning! Buffet was varied with great selection of pastries!
Clean and simple!
It was immaculately clean and the shower water pressure was amazing! Perfect for sightseeing - the neighbor hood was accessible to Florence and quiet and safe at night.
Lovely old-fashioned Italian style hotel with great service, only 20 minutes walk from city center :) highly recommend

I was traveling solo and looking for a place close to the heart of the city. You can easily walk here from Firenze SMN train station, and the picturesque streets on the way already set the tone — you’ll be amazed.
The hotel is located right next to the Boboli Gardens. The building has real character; the entrance and lobby are filled with sculptures and artwork, giving you the...
Casa di Annalena is in an absolutely stunning old building with gorgeous details to admire while you walk up to the second floor. The ceilings are maybe 20 feet high, so it’s a bit more steps to get to the second floor than a standard US building, but if you’re able to climb, it’s fun to imagine all that’s happened in that building over the last hundreds of years as you walk up. Hotel in the second floor with no elevator.
Reception is open from around 7am to 9:30pm and you receive the hotel keys so you can enter whenever you want.
The building is quite old and not very well maintained so the main entry is a bit creepy.
The hotel is nice, well decorated and maintained. Staff is super friendly.
We had 2 different rooms during 2 different short stays and they were both good and clean. The hotel is close to the city centre and nice spots of the city. The rooms are retro style, very nice 👍
Also, you can leave your luggage before checkin or after checkout.
Merci Anna! You were such a great host, so friendly and knowledgeable about Firenze.
Good experience !
I had a good time at Annalena, the rooms are beautifully maintained, the building itself is charming and I was warmly welcomed.
If I may offer a small suggestion for enhancement, it would be to elevate the breakfast experience. While the €7 price is reasonable, a selection of higher-quality items—such as artisanal jams, fresh-baked bread, and wholesome cereals—would add great value. Offering more...

Had the standard ByPillow brand as far as a great little sitting/amenity room with free water, coffee and luggage storage. Hotel lombardia was our favorite stay throughout our week in Italy. It is located in a great central area. The staff were kind and helpful as needed. The room was clean and comfortable. We loved the charm of the building and breakfast was great!
Room was hot. Could have used a fan or something to help with that. The bathroom was interesting with the see through shower from the bedroom. My experience at Hotel Duca D’Aosta was excellent. Erika at the front desk stood out with her kindness—always greeting guests with a smile and willing to go the extra mile to help. The location is unbeatable, just steps from the train station. Rooms were spotless, the rest of the staff equally welcoming, and the coffee was delicious. I will definitely return and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting
Really lovely place in a great location. Erika was friendly, helpful and really welcoming. The room was clean, spacious, quiet and had a nice big bed! Lots of great free amenities including cold water and coffee! Was a great stay :) Really unsure why this is rated so low!
I had a lovely stay at the hotel! The newly renovated room was clean, stylish, and very comfortable. A special thanks to Erika at the reception — she was warm, welcoming, and always ready to help, which made the experience even better. While the lift is quite old, it didn’t affect my stay at all. If you're looking for a place to stay in Florence, Martelli 6 Suite & Apartments will be one of the best mid-range options for you if you prioritize proximity to the city's historic heart.
Excellent location as you are literally steps (about 50 meters) from the Duomo (Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore). It is situated right next to Eataly, making it incredibly easy to grab high-quality Italian snacks...
I'll be honest when we first booked it, I didn't think of it as much more than a bed for the night however upon arriving, you realize it's an absolutely again place to stay. We are on a 14 Italy trip , and after going from cramped hotel to Grand hotel, this was a pleasant relief. We ended up getting the studio and it was plenty of room and then some. Some the small conveniences of having a little kitchen...
Location-perfect. Just a few meter from the Duomo, shops and good choice of restaurant around it. Area is very safe.
Bedrooms-perfect. I would definitely love to have stayed longer. Would highly recommend this place.
Ideal place to stay in central Florence (very close to the Duomo) and no more than 10-15 minutes walk from all the places you will want to see. Reception staff are friendly and helpful, rooms clean and big enough for short stays. Useful to note that these are serviced apartments rather than it being a hotel so you will have explore the many restaurant and food options for meals.
We loved this hotel. The cathedral-like ceiling was breathtaking, and the size of the room more than adequate for a European hotel - our daughters loved the smaller beds and the layout and space was great.
We chose this hotel because of the room type, the location, and access to a lift (elevator) for our luggage.
Overall we're very happy with the stay and would consider staying again in the future

First comment before taking my review too seriously - I went here 26 years ago as a teenager so things might have changed since. This is an older hotel in the heart of Florence. Great location just two blocks from the Duomo. Staff is very helpful and gave us a *great* recommendation for dinner. The Palazzo was lovely and the rooms very large. Ours opened to a narrow set of stairs down or it would have rated five stars. But the room itself was elegant and spacious. They did an excellent job of redoing an old building to make it have modern convenience without losing its charm.

The hotel room was beautiful, with a wonderful view out the windows. It’s in a great area for easy walking around the area. The room had a big comfortable bed, nice big tub and shower as well with all the basic hotel amenities. Breakfast can be scheduled the evening before. The hotel is located in the ZTL, it does not offer private parking, instead there is public parking garages around the area.
The hotel room was elegantly decorated with high ceilings and modern facilities. It was very clean, and the breakfast was exquisite and delicious, served in a tastefully designed dining area. The front desk service was excellent; they even helped me take my luggage to my room. My only regret is that I forgot to tip them at the time, which I only remembered afterwards.

What's more, there's a big bathtub, which was a real treat! Outside, there are so many delicious food options nearby. I'm definitely...
The service and room were great, but the soundproofing wasn't very good.
The location is excellent, very close to all the attractions, within walking distance or just two or three bus stops away. It's worth mentioning that the hotel staff's service attitude is exceptionally good; they even helped recommend delicious steak restaurants nearby. The room also provides free drinking water and disposable slippers, and they even offer complimentary snacks and drinks every day...

Wonderful stay at St James - safe walkable to everything - will stay again and recommend to everyone
Great location, walkable to all sites, friendly English speaking front desk person, responsive to our issues/concerns, clean, spacious rooms with tall ceilings & the housekeeping was great! We would definitely stay here again when in Florence, Italy.
Wonderful hotel in a great location
The room was a little small, but that wasn't a huge factor as we were pretty much only in the room to sleep, but having an elevator was a must for us as we're getting too old to be carrying luggage up stairs. The hotel is not quite in as touristy of a location as some of the others, which is something we wanted, and the restaurant next door, Fucco Matto, turned out...
It was clean and near to historic places and train station. There was no fridge in the hotel.
Room is old, albeit clean for the first night. There is one wardrobe but only 3 hangers, no drawers, nowhere to put your clothes.
Bathroom is large, but toilet leaks, and it takes several attempts to make it flush properly.
It is just a very old, not well equipped hotel.
Not exactly a great visit: when we arrived, even though it was about half an hour past check-in time, we didn't find the room clean and tidy. We had to wait for half an hour on a couch in the hallway, and after a 4.5-hour trip with a child, that's not ideal!
The location is certainly excellent, just steps from the Fortezza and the city center; the automatic door also convenient.
